Darius for ITV's Pop Star to Opera Star
Rolando is a Mexican (who has taken out French citizenship) and is married with children. His wife is/was a psychologist and she supported him whilst he trained to sing. He is only eight years older than D. Have you watched the link I gave? He comes over well, talking on the video.

Sue, I would guess this programme is aimed at older Radio 2/Classic FM audiences, supporters of Alan Titchmarsh and Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, plus supporters of Katherine Jenkins. Myleen Klass seems to have too many irons in the fire. I hope she is a better presenter than I'm expecting, but Alan Titchmarsh will be great, very down-to-earth, and very witty.

Darius for ITV's Pop Star to Opera Star
I have just watched the trailer.........brief glimpses of each contestant practising singing, then Katherine Jenkins and Rolando Villazon. Rolando has been off the stage for a while, but has now had surgery on his vocal cords and is ready to sing again. http://www.rolandovillazon.com/eng/index.html Seems quite a personality, and he can certainly sing - several youtubes. Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, apart from being a make-over king, is a Classic FM DJ. Alan Titchmarsh presents Radio 2's light classical show. But I can think of no classical music connection for Meatloaf (Marven Lee Aday). Can anyone?

Till now I had neither the inclination nor the knowledge to go on, but if D starts posting I think it will be certain youngsters teaching their grandmother to suck eggs, or rather to find the eggs.

Glad to have you back, Meg. Sorry to hear of your problems..........hope they will soon be cleared up. Isn't it fun, Sue, when work is being done in the kitchen. Everything seems to end up out of place.
