Now that he is on a roll (both song-writing and performing) I just hope he keeps the momentum going, and builds on it.

They can't resist having a dig. But it's said all publicity is good publicity, and if it caused someone to open a discussion on what D is doing now all the better (provided someone knows the answer)
  6. He may have changed his manager and agency, but the publicity seems as lacking as ever.
  7. Have been studying trains.....a four hour wait for a connection in the early hours is too much even for D. So guess I won't be coming to Woking. Disappointed.
  8. I'm being very tempted to go to Woking.

  10. Did Darius sing 'Feeling Good' at St Albans ? That was the song I enjoyed most at Buxton.

  16. As children we were taken every week to our local variety show but there was never any burlesque dancing, just the chorus girls line-up.
  17. We did meet D before the show and he looks really well and fit again. He's a great guy. BT, this puzzles me too. I must google the history of burlesque.
  18. Darius was in fine fettle last night at Buxton, his voice as velvety smooth as ever, a joy to hear. The Opera House is a very old theatre, beautifully decorated with gold carvings on walls and ceiling. The stalls were full but I couldn't see the circle and gallery. There were people buying the last few seats at the box office as we went in. Apparently this theatre sells any remaining seats at the last minute for £5. It was great to meet Sue, - another member I can now put a face to. We had to dash off at the end, but Darius was out front ready to sign programmes etc. During the show D. dedicated a couple of songs to his Aunt and Uncle who were out front. I wasn't enamoured of the dancer, but I think she was appreciated by the males in the audience ( which was largely composed of older people). D sang his new songs at the end. I prefer the original version of Colourblind, but the others sounded great with the big band backing.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2...15875-22564311/ This poor woman wasn't as lucky as D, though the injuries sound the same. This was just at a keep-fit class.
