That's only your opinion though - plenty of people, me for one, think that 'Yours Truly Angry Mob' is MUCH better than 'Employment'. I love the last 2 singles admittedly, but there are at least 3 better songs on that album IMO, not as commercial and they probably wouldn't be big hits, but they are brilliant songs. I agree that this is happening to bands because of hype, rather than quality of music. I'm also really excited about the new Editors album, even if Q gave it no stars I'd still get it!!!!

Oh no, how sad!!!! :cry: Especially with having such a young child... that's the biggest shame of all, I hope that things really are amicable between them for their kid's sake. :(

Well I MUCH prefer Sam's Town of the two... but Hot Fuss is definitly the more poppy album of the two. I will say though, that Sam's Town is a much consistent album - I think you should maybe look on YouTube and see if you can find any performances of the album tracks, that might help you to choose.

I've only heard the new single once, but I already know that its AMAZING!!!! :yahoo: What a great way to start promo for the new album, it sounds like a corker already!!! :D

I'm thinking of trying to get tickets but not decided yet... plus Sunday has more good acts than Saturday I think. Scissors are definitly the stars of the show this year though, I'm well chuffed that they're headlining! :yahoo: Apparently if you have interactive TV, you'll be able to press the red button and watch the whole set too.

Not a bad run at all! I can see this album selling more than 'Under My Skin' did in the UK eventually, even though that one's still my favourite... a big ballad hit could really do wonders for her!

Yeah, I think the public have gone off the Sugababes quite a bit recently for some reason. :( But the record being, well, not very good, is bound to have made matters much worse! :P Hopefully the girls will have a killer comeback and prove all the doubters wrong again. ^_^ But even if they don't have as much success as they had in the past - I'll be happy so long as they put out good music and keep doing what they love. :)

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that The View are absolutely TERRIBLE!!! And I'm even more glad that the hype seems to have died off already... new single enters at #33 today, and that's with the CD out! :cheer:

I agree with you about the vocals, I hate GA with a passion but I wouldn't 'blame' them for the awful chart run. I don't think that song suited either group at all, it was just a really bad idea and it really shouldn't have been done at all IMO! For such a major collab to only be the 20th best selling single of the year up to the end of April says it all really. :( I just hope the public aren't so stupid as to go off the Sugababes because of it - they've done loads of great songs, and I think the next album could be really interesting! :)

BLATANTLY 'Fix You'!!!! ^_^ 'Talk' or 'Clocks'?

The Stereophonics always used to be a band that I thought were OK, but their last album was really great IMO! I'm hoping the new stuff will be in a similar vein, they were getting a bit too MOR before that. They are definitly capable of making great songs though, so I'm quite keen to hear this new song! :)

I'm VERY excited about this album - 'The Back Room' is a five star album in my book, so news of a follow-up coming out so soon is brilliant!!! :yahoo: Hopefully this will help to make Editors into the truly massive band that they deserve to be, and land them their biggest single as well. B) PS. Is anyone going to see them on tour? I'm not, really hope they announce a bigger scale tour for later in the year cos I wanna see them badly!!!

'Follow Me Home' definitly stands out here - and 'Easy' deserved to be #1 IMO!!! I wasn't a fan at all for the first 2 albums, but even then I thought that 'Run For Cover' deserved a top 10 place. B)

I voted for Nobody's Home - which is actually one of my favourite songs of all time! It's incredible. Glad to see its doing so well on this poll despite not being much of a hit!!
