  1. It says 11.55 a.m. on D's Facebook page and Twitter :) Julie
  2. I think the panel time was cut short because Darius, true to form, had spent too long thanking everyone after he had sung his aria!! :D I think D and Katherine were bickering jokingly between themselves because when accused of pronouncing his French wrong, D said they had confused him and it was their fault and I distinctly saw Katherine laughingly nod at him and say 'No, it was your fault'! Julie
  3. Someone has 'tweeted' on the PSTOP Twitter that Dame Judi Dench is a 'friend of Darius' !? Maybe she is checking him out for the next James Bond! :D (Wishful thinking on my part!! ) Julie
  4. I like what this person had to say..... is Ria anyone we know?!! http://blog.show-and-stay.co.uk/2010/01/18...is-not-on-song/ Julie
  5. I watched it too Meg and was so pleased with 'how he came across' - just a normal friendly Darius - the one we all know and love! :D His philosophy that life is too short and nomatter what, he is always polite and friendly towards people, whoever they are and he is always up for a challenge. Did you hear him say that he is writing songs for people in America (and he mentioned American Idol)? His Dad is doing well and Darius is just enjoying himself - wonderful to hear!! Oh, and did I mention..... he looked great too!! :D Julie
  6. Hello BT :D I also had a phone call just before the show started and had to cut the chat with my friend short (but not before telling her about the show tonight and asking her to vote for D!! ) Alex James was on 'Blur business' - he's certainly not promoting himself very much! I thought Darius looked very tentative at first but once Ruth spoke to him he seemed to relax. Rolando looks like great fun - there are certainly a real mix of personalities involved with this show! I do so hope that D does well in this...... :cheer: Julie
  7. Wow.. thank you so much Meg.. I'm so glad I waited up. I can go to sleep now knowing he looks so well and that he was appreciated. Did he speak to you? Did you meet up with many people from the site? Did the judges pass comment on how well they thought they had done? Julie
  8. Got to go and make my hard-working husband a cup of tea.....

I've just been listening to Scott Mills on Radio 1 (I hardly ever listen but my husband rang me to say they were going to be discussing PSTOS). Kym Marsh and Danny Jones were in the studio but I don't think they managed to promote the show very well as Scott Mills several times made the point that opera 'sends him to sleep'. Kym said that all the songs would be in a foreign language which only added to his opinion. They went through the judges and mentors and a couple of times Scott Mills asked who else was taking part but they got sidetracked and the question was never answered!. At the end of the interview Scott said 'Darius is taking part isn't he and then they mentioned his name change. Neither knew why he had changed his name but Kim said 'Didn't he get married?' (I wonder!!) Anyway, at least Darius got a mention.... Also, Meatloaf was on 'Loose Women' supposedly to promote PSTOS. Poor Kate Thornton.... he was completely OTT talking about everything and anything other than the show. He is certainly a big personality (and I love his music) but he was more concerned about his new album coming out in March!!! At least they managed to mention that the show begins at 9p.m. on Friday. Typical!!!.... There I go doing everything wrong again!!lol! I joined last night so that I can give him my support.... I'm just finding my way around - it's very interesting :D Julie
  12. Why am I always wrong  I think I read he was the drummer over on DS somewhere! (I'll blame them! :D ) The ITV page mentions seven singers but still lists the eight contestants so I don't think anyone has dropped out. Julie
  13. I have seen two ads for the show but I think they were different. One showed D twice singing while looking into a mirror and then the chandelier breaking and in the other he just walks across the hall at the beginning of the ad and then it concentrates on other singers. Personally, I think he looks much better in these ads than he did in his Xmas message (when I thought he looked like he was on the verge of going to sleep!! ). He is definitely very slim - he's not been cooking himself any pasta!! :D I didn't notice his name come up on the screen but I saw Bernie Nolan and Danny Jones mentioned. Was his name shown? and if so, was he Darius Danesh or Darius Campbell? Julie
  14. I think you're right PiP - I read somewhere that Alex James is the drummer from Blur so I assumed that he's not classed as a singer. Julie

I really wish he wasn't getting involved with another 'reality/talent show' but doesn't the saying go 'any publicity is good publicity' ! This will be prime time TV with millions of people watching. Like I said, unless people have been following Darius like we have, they will have no idea how much he has really achieved and he will be re-installing himself in people's minds. We know he has an excellent voice so he can't embarass himself and if he is being considered as only an 'also-ran', then we know how the British love an underdog!! As Darius would sing......'Here we go....(again)' :D Personally, I just can't wait to see him back on our TV screens!!! Julie
  16. Thank goodness for that!! thank you Rachel We must remember that many, many people will think that Darius 'fell off the face of the earth' a long time ago and he will be a distant memory! Hopefully he will appeal to the audience of this new show the same way that he did in his Pop Idol days and his fans of that era will appreciate him again and vote for him (assuming, of course, that a public vote will be involved!). He had over a million votes in the final, didn't he??!! It must be something that he wants to do - we all know how he loves a challenge :D and it will show everyone what a really wonderful voice he has wherever he actually comes in the contest Julie
  17. I wonder if there is a prize for the winner and if so, what it will be!?? Julie

I was certainly hoping it would be a tour to precede his album release! However, we have all said that he needs to get himself back into the public eye before releasing his album and I suppose he and his new management have decided this new show is the 'way to go'. We all know that he has a very good operatic voice and I just pray that he does well!! But.... Although it is nice to have many 'strings to your bow' I really do hope that this is not the direction he is planning for his career and his album because I am not a lover of opera at all (I would much rather see him perform a duet with Meat Loaf!!) I love Rhydian as a performer but his albums bore me!! Regarding D's change of name, I can understand his father being upset and I hope it doesn't offend his many Iranian fans, but I can also understand why he has done it. (Although I agree he could have gone with Campbell-Danesh!) A new year and a new start for him - I just hope this time his career continues on the way up He is so talented, so nice (and so handsome!! :D ) he will always have my support whatever he does (within reason!! ) Julie

Many thanks Rachel :D Hopefully this means that he really wants to keep us up to date with everything he is doing in 2010 Julie

Merry Xmas everyone!! :D Looking forward to meeting up with you all in 2010 at Darius's many performances!!! :cheer: See you then... Julie

Darius has posted a video Xmas message over on his Facebook page (I am not a member but my son has left himself 'logged in', so I was able to play it!! ) and at the beginning he says ' Hi guys... long time no see' and at the end he says 'see you very soon'!!! - so I hope he means that ...... However, I do remember him saying that after the last performance of GWTW, so I guess, yet again, we can only hope!!! :) Julie P.S. I think he looks very tired!!

A poster over on Facebook says that her friend bumped into Darius in the studio the other day.... working on something for TV!! :cheer: (I just hope this is true this time and not another misunderstanding!! :D ) Julie

Crown Music Management also manage 'The Sugababes' and they always seem to be on tour promoting their current album. They have just put their next album on hold for release next March so that they have plenty of time to promote their music to their fans before release - Wouldn't it be lovely if D's exciting news is a tour to promote the new album!!! :D (My wishful thinking :music: ) Whatever the announcement..... I'm excited already!!!  Julie

Thank you so much Rachel - I knew you would get things clarified for us :D At least we now have some insight into what D is doing - although several times now he has claimed the album is finished!! So he has finally given up on Simon Fuller and changed his management - I think this can only be good for him as Simon Fuller has so many more 'irons in the fire'!! I notice D now has management contact listed on IMDB which I don't think he had before. So..... nothing before January?? :( But let's just hope that when we get this exciting announcement it will be 'all systems GO' for 2010!!! :D Hasn't 2009 been a dull year......!!!??? Julie
