There are loads of photos of the event over on 'westsound.co.uk' - in the gallery there is an 'autogallery' and the photos just go on for ever..... :D There are two lovely ones of the Danesh family with the boys wearing their kilts - Darius just looks so handsome... :wub: Julie (I just wish that he had let us know sooner about this event - I would have loved to have gone!! :( )

There is a thread over on DS way back in the TV Programmes Forum re Hotel Babylon Series 4 but no-one seems to know much yet! They seem to think it will start when the new series of 'Hustle' finishes - does anyone know how many episodes of Hustle there will be? There is an article in this month's Sky Magazine - a chat with Dexter Fletcher, who apparently plays the concierge at Hotel Babylon. There is, of course...... no mention of D :rolleyes: , but Nigel Harman plays new character, Sam Franklin 'and this series not only has brilliant new cast members like Nigel, it also has some great guest stars, including Honor Blackman.' Surely, this programme must have very good ratings, otherwise it would never have made Series 4!! :D Waiting in anticipation for news....... :) Julie

Of course, you can join my dream Bramley - who knows what might happen if we wish hard enough.... :D I don't think it would be a good idea to appeal to the whole Buzzjack Forum for votes for D - you never know if it would do more harm than good, and I would hate that!! If members drop into the Darius Forum then I would like to think that they have some admiration/respect for him and may possibly consider voting but sometimes (for some unknown reason!) there is such animosity for D from some people, who knows what might happen!! :o :cry: I have also noticed criticism on some other sites, where members are begging for votes for their favourite!! I think D is doing very well in the voting atm, considering that GWTW is no longer and four of the others are still in the West End! We can only do our best for him and hope that it will be enough.... Julie

I believe voting goes on till the last week of January Bramley......I've not voted yet and neither have some of my friends. I've been holding on hoping that Darius might have a last minute surge!!!!! :lol: (I think he's definitely going to need it!!) Please, everybody who admires D's work go to Whatsonstage.com and vote for him as 'Best Actor in a Musical' because even if he doesn't win every bit of recognition will help to boost his profile and we will get more chances of seeing him on stage!! :D Julie (On DS there is a report about Hugh Jackman dropping out of a rock musical film version of Anthony and Cleopatra due to work commitments. If Hugh was in the running for Rhett, why couldn't D be in the running for Anthony!? He could make the film and still release his album and tour.... I can dream, can't I!! :dance: Cleopatra is to be played by Catherine Zeta Jones - I think D has met her before, hasn't he?!)

So do you all think that we can be sure it will definitely be a 'Pop' album and we will get to see D play his guitar and play with a band again - oh I do hope so!!! I long for some more outside 'gigs' like Lincoln - such a wonderful atmosphere!! He could always produce a double album - one CD of musical-type songs and one of 'pop' just to keep everyone happy!! :D Whatever the music-style, I hope there is a tour!! Julie

A Happy New Year to everyone!! :dance: :D I hope everyone has had a very enjoyable Xmas - I have been looking in but everything has been so hectic that I didn't get round to posting!! The decorations are just going back into their boxes and back into the loft and the house looks pretty dull - it takes a couple of days to get used to it again!! :lol: It somehow seems a relief to be getting back to normal! :D I soooooooo hope that 2009 is finally going to be D's year....... Can't wait to have a reason to meet up with everyone again and something to look forward to.... I've booked to see Tina Turner and Rhydian but it is Darius that I long to see up on the stage performing his new music.... Not too long now, I hope... :D Anyone know when 'Hotel Babylon' starts - there is still no news on their website!!?? Julie

I saw the three performers who are in competition with D on WOS on the RVP last night and I, too, was not impressed! I love the Four Seasons music (and I must admit that I didn't realise that they were miming) but if that was a clip from the show then they were just like a tribute act and the award is for the 'Best Actor in a Musical'!! I cannot stand performers 'in drag' so Douglas Hodge and cast certainly did nothing for me - is it supposed to be a comedy?! And I'm sure that there is a lot of clever choreography in Zorro but the clip they showed last night certainly was not very wonderful and Matt Rawle was nothing like I expected - I did not like his voice at all!! This, of course, is my opinion (it's just as well we all like different things!!) but to me, having seen snippets from those three musicals, it just made me realise even more how Darius and GWTW were pure class in comparison!

Where is everybody, where is everybody...... I'm so excited..... I haven't been around very much as my Mum is not well and I have been staying with her and not had computer access.....but have 'popped home' for a couple of days and just checked 'Whatsonstage. com'...... DARIUS HAS BEEN NOMINATED FOR 'BEST ACTOR IN A MUSICAL'!!!! I'm so excited!!!!! Just the recognition has got to do him good, even if he doesn't win. There had been quite a few new members over on Rachel's Forum who probably would not know about this Forum on Buzzjack and who will be wondering what is going on. Could Rachel possibly put a link to this Forum for anyone who wants to chat about D or ask a question? Just a thought - I don't know if this would be considered 'internet etiquette'!! I'm guilty of that too BT!!! And I will really miss the Forum over on .net! :cry: I only really post on any Forum if I have any snippets of information that nobody else has mentioned as I get really upset if posters start to 'bicker' and things get uncomfortable!! The trouble with writing things down is that sometimes the wrong emphasis can be read into the words and the meaning is mistaken!! I have no idea how much work goes into running a Forum and I am really grateful for the people who are so devoted to doing this for us! Rachel has done us proud and I'm sure she will continue to do so with her website - we are lucky we have this Forum here on Buzzjack to communicate :D I assume the PM system over on .net is no longer!! - I will miss that too!
