Sorry Pam, I didn't get in till late last night so waited till this morning to post! :( I'm always a bit embarassed that I seem to be the only person who buys 'The Star' but I buy it every day just in case there is something about D in it (and that is the only reason really!!!) The pictures were the best two - the one above where they are posing as a couple and the one in the pool where Natasha is gazing lovingly at him and laughing (I think that is a lovely photo!!) :D Julie

Just to say that there were two pictures of D and Natasha in the Daily Star yesterday under the main heading of 'Celebs have Beach Ball'. There was also a very unflattering picture of Simon Le Bon and pictures of the Cheeky Girls topless!! Regarding D and N the 'info' was: 'Over in California Pop Idol singer Darius Danesh, 27, has been getting all hot a steamy with his gorgeous girlfriend, actress Natasha Henstridge,33. The pair joined in the fun at a barbecue at a swanky beach house in Malibu. And the griddle was not the only thing to get a bit overheated. The pair ended up diving into the pool to cool off.' The comment alongside the picture of D and N in the pool: 'NICE STROKES: Darius and Natasha take a dip in sizzling California'. All interesting information!!! - still it was lovely to see them in the paper Julie

I've just been on Natasha's site and there are a couple of lovely pictures of D and Natasha at a party in Malibu yesterday (sorry I don't know how to do a link!!). I love the way Natasha is looking at D in the swimming pool   D certainly wasn't back in London for long, was he!!! (If you read this Darius, we would all love a progress report please!!! :D ) Julie

According to 2 girls on D's Facebook page he was at a Seal concert/gig the other night. There is a short article about Seal in the Daily Star today so I assume the gig was in London. I wonder if D collaborates with Seal at all when he is writing/composing!? Julie

Hi Meg :hi: :D I couldn't see any pic over on .net and I still can't see one over here - is it just me, or has it disappeared from the link?? :( I hope that this is not old news and that he really is back in London working hard!! Julie

'Mockingbird' please (That choice was easy for me!! :D ) Julie
  7. I met Helen several times at Darius events (Lincoln Castle was the most memorable where we all had such a laugh!!) and she was such a genuine and friendly lady. R.I.P.Helen, we will all miss you  Julie

When we spoke to the cast of GWTW about a second 'press night' they said that it had been done but it was after they had been given their closing date!!!! What was the point of that!!?? Julie

'Laughing in the Rain' Darius must have guessed what this Summer was going to be like!!! I've spent a lot of time with friends laughing in the rain over the past couple of weeks when pre-arranged outings have nearly been completely ruined by the weather - if we didn't laugh, we would cry!!! Only the mad English would sit in a field eating a picnic in the pouring rain - we do have fun!!!  Julie

Save Love Now or Never Secret Song Faith in Me Love to Love Dive In Mercury Rising Simple Like the Truth Better Man Incredible Gotta Know Tonight Rushes Stars Crash Down Resolution Fragile and.....on reflection.....Colourblind, Live Twice and Pretty Flamingo would have to be my 'reserves'!! :D Julie
  12. I wonder what the 'scripts' were that he was reading and if they are possibly still pending B) :D Julie

Darius' Starmeter on ImDb has risen by 181% since last week - I wonder if they know something that we don't!!! Julie

You have an amazing memory BT!! I don't know how you did your own GWTW thread - did you take notes at the theatre?!! :D I saw the show 7 times  but I only remember that he was one of the twins and a union soldier - I'm afraid I really can't remember much about what he did as a soldier!!! Jina Burrows' (Prissy's) Mum and Dad were sitting in front of us on Tuesday and they said that Gina is going straight into 'The Wizard of Oz' and that she is very happy about that Julie

As I have actually bothered to 'log-in' for 5 minutes and this round is likely to go on forever!!! I will do this very quickly and say 'Mercury Rising' (I have always said that this is my favourite track from 'Dive In' , although another 2/3/4/5/ of them come very, very close!!! :D ) Julie

Yes, I was BT and she was brilliant!! You would never have known she was the understudy except for the fact that they were obviously not prepared for the understudy to have to appear so early on in the run as the poor girl only had one change of dress!! (she was much smaller than Jill in height!!) Her singing was perhaps not quite as powerful as Jill's but her acting was every bit as good and to be honest (perhaps her accent was not so strong) but I could understand every word she said! It must have been very challenging both for her and Darius, but I didn't see or hear them put a foot wrong!! :cheer: On Saturday I also had a long chat with Gareth Chart (Ashley's understudy) as Neil and I had seen him the Saturday before in the matinee performance. He, also, was very good but much 'softer' in the part - he looked so much younger 'off stage' :D He was thrilled that he had actually had the chance to play Ashley but he hadn't got anything new lined up yet like some of the others! :( When I actually read his write-up in the programme he has a part in the new 'Mamma Mia' film with Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan - I wish I had asked him about that!! :D I will definitely have to see that film now! I so hope that they all go on to bigger and better things!!! Julie

I haven't posted this over on .net as everyone over there is so excited about seeing the show atm!! :D The following article is on Neil Sean's Licensed to Spill page in this week's New Magazine: 'Darius is blown away Poor Darius Danesh's latest hopes for West End glory have ended in tears. His musical Gone With the Wind opened in April to dire reviews and is now finishing its run early, with the final performance happening this week. Darius, 27, was 'distraught' when he first heard the news, although he tells me that it's not over just yet. "We all lost money in the production, but there is still a chance we can pull it back by going on tour and there is talk of Broadway," he said. "I got to play Rhett Butler in a brand-new West End show, so it's not all bad. But I wish it had gone on longer than it has."' !!!!!! How on earth could GWTW go on tour with it's complicated and complex staging?!!! Darius has never mentioned this to any of us!!! Does anyone think this could be possible or is Neil Sean making this up or possibly misquoting D as a lot of the media are very prone to do!!! Julie

Over on imdb.com on D's and Natasha's pages they have news reports about GWTW closing early but it is also mentioned that D received critical acclaim and standing ovations for his portrayal as Rhett Butler Julie

It was her dream for so long to play Scarlett and her dream has been realised! She was excellent and I feel that she will get to play the part again somewhere else in the world to great acclaim!! The whole cast must feel a certain sense of failure atm regardless of how brilliantly they have all performed over the past two months!!! :( I hope they all go on to bigger and better 'things' - they certainly deserve to!! Julie

That's exactly how I feel Meg, I hope we're right!! A few of us saw Darius (and the rest of the cast) just after they had been told the bad news. Most of them seemed devastated but Darius and Jill came out separately and both of them appeared OK (I get the feeling that they might have been forewarned!!) Anyway, Darius' comment was 'onwards and upwards' and while he was talking to Allison and I D's friend was telling another lady that 'D would be fine'!!! :) Apparently D told Joan that ALW had been to see the show!!??? I wonder....... We can but just wait and see........ Julie

10 of us went to see the show last night and IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I have never experienced so much emotion during a show before!! The theatre was full and again there was a standing ovation!! We saw Darius before the show - he was late!! :D but still made time for us and he said he would see us again afterwards. We waited for him after the show - the cast had been told the show would have to close in 2 weeks time because they just weren't making enough money to cover the costs!! :( We spoke to most of them as they came out - they were gutted!! Pork seemed to think that if there was a sudden upsurge of advance tickets then things could change but if people are already being told to claim refunds for advance bookings then I should think there is not much chance of a reprieve! We spoke to Jill - she was lovely and thanked us for our support. Of course, Darius was last to come out :D - he was obviously very upset but his usual optimistic self - 'the album will be next' :cheer: Julie
