Chicago 10th Anniversary
Denise Van Outen was just on 'This Morning' - she was obviously there more to promote 'Rent', but Fern mentioned Chicago's 10th Anniversary and asked who was going to be appearing!! :D (Good old Fern - I wonder if she hoped to hear D mentioned!! ) However, Denise only mentioned female cast members - she seemed to think that all tickets would have now sold out and she has been rehearsing for the past two weeks. I wonder if that means that D will now be back in this country and rehearsing! Hopefully the male cast taking part will get a mention on Lorraine's show tomorrow - I will try to remember to watch!! :D Julie

I could never stand Bob Dylan - I preferred Donovan but wasn't really keen on either!! Even though Rhydian does seem to put the same 'operatic slant' on every song he sings, he is a performer (as is Darius) and unlike Il Divo and Jonathon who all have amazing voices I would pay good money to see (and hear) Rhydian  When he sang 'You Raise Me Up' the other week I had tears running down my face  - he was amazing!! It is not enough to just have a good voice if you don't have the ability to entertain and put on a good show - that, to me, is the difference between having the 'X' factor and not having 'it'. Julie

Chicago 10th Anniversary
I'm sure a lot of ladies will be wearing long dresses, but I won't be one of them!! The only long dress I possess is like a 'nightie' and I don't think it would be very appropriate!! I couldn't wear a long dress up to London on the train at lunchtime either, I would feel such a fool!! 'Black tie' to me just means that the men wear their dinner suits with a dickie tie and the ladies 'glam-up' - if I'm the only one wearing a short skirt at least I will stand-out, won't I!!! even if for all the wrong reasons!!! I booked our tickets this morning - we couldn't get the stalls as we would have liked (left it too late!!) so the next best was middle Row G in the Dress Circle - looking forward to seeing you and Pam there  Julie

Chicago 10th Anniversary
Wendy and I hope to be there - we've left it late! I hope I can get tickets tomorrow!! I definitely won't be wearing a long dress - I don't think Wendy will be either. We will have to keep our fingers (and toes) crossed for dry weather - I don't fancy standing outside the stage door looking like a 'cold, drowned rat'!!! Julie P.S. Is Julian Kitchener-Fellowes and his wife the couple Darius came back to England for to sing at their wedding - because I notice they are patrons of the charity and have a lot to do with the occasion?

Chicago 10th Anniversary
Rachel heard from Darius earlier in the week and he didn't even know what he would be doing in the show!! (He didn't know anything about the after-show party either!!!) - so it makes you wonder! Whatever he is doing, there can't be an awful amount of rehearsal involved - I wonder if he is over here yet! :cheer: Julie

My son is on Facebook but I worry about how secure all these 'chat' sites are!!! I'm afraid I haven't got the time or inclination to 'sign up' to any of them - I wouldn't have a clue what to do anyway!!! :???:  It's nice to have all these sites of D's to check out though! :D Julie

I'm here!! :D But I'm sorry I can't be good and vote!!! The last three songs chosen (and Secret Song) are my favourites from Live Twice and I just can't choose between them so I'm going to have to leave the decision to other people who can choose for me!! :) Maybe I will be able to help out when the same thing happens to somebody else!! :D Julie

I really don't care how long we have to wait for D's new album as long as he is happy with it and he knows that when it is released it will get the acclaim it deserves!! To do this I feel he has to be successfully involved with something else beforehand so that the public know he is still 'out there' and doing well!! (and the media give him a fair chance!! ) He will be mixing with all the 'right people' at Chicago on 5/12 and Andrew Lloyd Webber will be there so maybe something is (or will be) in the pipeline after that!! It really all depends on D's gameplan - I just hope he has a good one!!! :D Julie

The Interchange thread part 3
I was just going to post in 'Bits and Pieces' that we should have all been going to NUTS tonight!! I can't believe it was two years ago that we all had that wonderful evening with Darius, Natasha, Avril and Booth!! I remember that Aria wasn't there, but was Cyrus? I hope Meg has a wonderful time - I love Sherrie Hewson, so I hope she has a chat with her!! I wonder who the 'mystery celebrities' turn out to be - I hope Meg doesn't know something we don't!!! :D Julie P.S. Whos' she gone with?

Something else to read while things are so quiet - 'Could Ryhdian win X Factor - Meet 10 of TV's 'no-hopers' who turned their fortunes around:- 10. Nadia Almada; 9. Tre Azram; 8. Chantelle; 7. Jordan; 6. John Tickle; 5. Chico; 4. Carol Thatcher; 3. DARIUS DANESH - Pop Idol 2001 1st Impressions: We first met Darius, of course, in Popstars where the super arrogant singer/songwriter was sent packing after a toe-curling embarrassing rendition of Britney's HMBOMT. How we laughed as he told juidges he'd still have a platinum-selling album before he was 35. It was even more toe-curling when a slightly humbler Darius turned up to Pop Idol auditions the following year still intent on making that dream come true! How Did He Turn It Around? It took a while but Darius finally managed to win over the public thanks to a very wise image change and then an even wiser decision to tone down his arrogance plus some impressive displays of undoubted musical ability. Mind you he nearly didn't make it to the PI finals - but was drafted in as a last minute replacement for Rik Waller who was struck down with a throat infection. He eventually came 3rd only narrowly losing out on his place in the final to GG and WY. Oh, and he did have a platinum selling album before he was 35. 2; Jade Goody; 1. David Gest. It is annoying that there is no mention of his starring roles in Chicago and Guys and Dolls nor any mention of Live Twice going Gold or a third album in the pipeline - no wonder people who don't follow his progress think he has disappeared off of the music scene!!! Julie
