He has been mentioned several times recently in the 'X Factor Forum' under headings such as 'Bring back the Pop Idol format', Will we ever find another star', Your favourite ever 'X' factor competitor', etc. (They aren't the exact titles of the threads, but similar.) I get annoyed that although people say that D may have been their favourite, they don't seem to know anything about what he's done since Colourblind/Dive In - some do know about him appearing in Chicago. If people really liked him, surely they would at least check out his websites/myspace/bebo, etc!! Baytree is a member over there and she often enlightens them, but she has other things on her mind at the moment and I haven't seen her over there for a while!! She hasn't even been able to be on here much lately, either!! :( Julie

I forgot to say that the girl who asked the original question had just heard 'Colourblind' on the radio. That was only 2 days ago and that is certainly good news to me as I have heard nothing from D on the radio for months!!! I wonder which station it was! Julie

I have been registered on Yahoo for some time but have only ever looked-in about once or twice!! I went into 'Answers' to see if I could elaborate on D's progress but it wouldn't let me as the question was 'resolved'!! :( It certainly didn't seem very resolved to me!! :D Now I know what I'm doing over there I will keep my eye open for any D-related questions - the more info we can get out there, the better!! Julie (P.S. I keep wondering whether to register on Digitalspy as D quite often gets mentioned over there - so far I have resisted the temptation!! :rolleyes: )

Thanks BT - I posted over on the back-up forum yesterday that I wondered whether D was there because Natasha was a friend of Heidi's. I know that D quotes Seal as being one of the main influences for his music - I wonder if there has been any collaboration between the two of them for D's new music!! B) How did D get to know Seal and Heidi - do you know? It's a shame that Seal is over here promoting his new album - I would have loved to see a picture of him and D together! Julie

Morning :D I've just taken a break from the ironing to pop in and say that dear Fern just mentioned D on 'This Morning'! (She obviously stilll has him very much implanted in her mind!! :D ) They were chatting to Brian Friedman about the X Factor contestants and Brian was saying that his favourites were Niki and Rhydian - at which point Fern asked if Brian remembered Darius and likened him to Rhydian in the context that people either 'love him or hate him' and how after initial dislike opinions changed for the better Brian Friedman had never heard of D - but he has now!!! :lol: Julie (P.S. I hope it's not too long before D actually appears on the show again to promote his new music! - I'm sure Fern (and Philip) will welcome him with open arms!!)

Over on Whatsonstage there is a news article about 'Gone With the Wind' opening next April. They say that there is no decision on casting yet, but among those rumoured to be in the running for Rhett Butler, is Hugh Jackman!! I wonder who else is in the running!! Julie

Thanks Preston - I imagine Ian Kelsey would look quite similar to Darius in the part of Billy with his hair all greased back - I've never heard him sing but I can't imagine his voice would have the power of D's and he certainly hasn't got D's stage presence!! :) D's 'We Both Reached for the Gun' was brilliant - I was gobsmacked at how good he was Louis Walsh was promoting Kelly Osbourne on 'This Morning' yesterday - I wonder how her sales are doing! (I'm glad you enjoyed the show Preston - it is coming to Westcliff next month, I think, but I don't think I will go. Ian Kelsey is still Billy there, is he Billy for the whole tour? Then why did he tell Sue and Chris way back in June that the album was all but ready?!!!! Sometimes I'd rather he tell us the bad rather than the good and then when something happens we would all be pleased and pleasantly surprised rather than disappointed at waiting soooooooo long!! :rolleyes: I'm still hoping that there will be something else happening before the album release, otherwise I just can't see him getting any media coverage - I just hope that he and his management have BIG promotion plans with no expense spared, otherwise.....what's the point in taking such care over the perfect album?!!! It seems ages since June - I miss him and the excitement!!! :( Julie
