Didn't really know whether to start a new thread for this, but decided to post it here: According to the Daily Star (again!!) today there are plans for a new movie based on Elvis' life. They have lined up Ray Liotta (52) to play Elvis at the end of his life but film bosses are still looking for an up-and-coming actor to play the younger version. This is the sort of role I have always imagined Darius playing - I have always thought he had an Elvis look about him (but much better looking in my opinion!! :rolleyes: :D ), he has the sexy voice and moves and we know he can manage an American accent!! Has anyone else envisaged D playing Elvis (apart from on the Des O'Connor Show!! :lol: ) ? Julie

The Hollies and The Searchers could do no wrong for me!!! Both still touring - I try to see them every time they are local to me. I think 'Stay' was The Hollies first single and probably the very first record I ever bought!! Tony Hicks was always my favourite band member and he is the only original in the band today. Similarly, John McNally was my favourite Searcher and I believe he is the only original with them also!! :D Julie

Pete Waterman says The X Factor is 'more about foolery and drama than music'. The hitmaker claims the talent well has run dry and the stars being created are just fly-by-nights. The former Pop Idol judge said, "I did Pop Idol because it was the first show of its kind. We were all passionate about music and about finding a star. I don't feel this is the case for The X Factor, which is why I'd never be a judge on it. The show seems to be more about foolery and drama. I think having programmes like this year after year means that the well of talent has pretty much run dry by now. From what I have read, 'The Tourist' has the makings of being a really good film. Then why, according to Imdb, is it so far only up for release in Russia in December. It was due for release in the Netherlands too, but that has disappeared from the schedule!! Julie

If Darius said in Liverpool that the album was 'all but ready', why do you think he is waiting till 2008 to release? He must have some big plans between now and then to pave the way - I wish he would give us a clue!! :unsure: :) Julie
