We should have gone on a picnic today with Neil's car club but had a phone call at 9a.m. to say it was called off (after I had prepared everything, of course!!)!! Nevertheless, Neil has gone window-shopping for cars (his favourite pastime!!) and we will have our picnic for tea!! :D Julie

Hello Baytree - I do hope you can manage to make the show in Liverpool!! I'm getting really excited and nervous for him now!! :yahoo: I don't know what you consider 'reasonable', but Allison and I are staying at the Lord Nelson Hotel, Lord Nelson Street, Liverpool L3 5PD. It is a 2 minute walk from Lime Street Station and a 5 minute walk from the theatre. We are staying on Friday 1/6 and it is costing us £85 for a twin room. It has just been refurbished and from its pictures, it looks OK (but don't hold me to it!! :lol: ) I assume a single room would be around the £45 mark, but look it up on the internet, it may be cheaper in the week!! :D (www.lordnelsonliverpool.com or tel: 0151 709 5161) Hope this may be of some help - it seems really well situated!! :lol: :dance: Julie

Jonathon Wilkes was promoting on 'Loose Women' last week the day before he opened at Nottingham in Guys and Dolls. Maybe Darius will be on there promoting Liverpool and Edinburgh when his turn to play Sky comes around!! :D Julie

My thoughts are with you, Pam - you just feel so worried and helpless!! :( My Mum has been pretty good for a couple of months now after a year of being in and out of hospital with heart problems!! She is 87 and making the most of life!! I'm pleased to hear your Mum is comfortable and hope she is improving today - big hugs!! Julie

It's Mothers Day today BT so you should be pampering yourself (or being pampered!! :D ), not working too hard!! Playing D's music while you work will definitely help though - have fun!! My daughter should be arriving shortly and then I have to go to the Garden Centre, buy my Mum a present and visit her and then go to see my husband's Mum - never a dull moment!! :lol: Julie

One of Darius' American friends, Justin, has posted that he was flicking through OK magazine and came across a picture of Darius with Natasha Bedingfield!! I wonder what the two of them are doing together!!?? It's great if D is getting media coverage out in the US - Natasha is doing really well out there, isn't she!! - I hope the article was all positive!! :D Julie

Hello Preston :D I didn't see the programme but my daughter did and she said that Catherine Tate mentioned Darius in a sketch. I think it was a sketch that she has performed before and Darius bears the 'brunt' of the joke. It's something about going along to Top of the Pops to see McFly but missing them and getting 'fingered' by Darius!! - charming isn't it!! :rolleyes: I think Darius has been told before that Catherine has used him in this sketch and he thought that it was hilarious and was flattered!!! :lol: I've never really seen much of Catherine Tate's comedy, but what I have seen didn't impress me much - she is, however, a very good straight actress!. Voted for Rushes and Live Twice too!! As much as I love Colourblind I am getting a little bit fed-up that it is the only one of D's singles that many people recognise and it would be lovely to have Rushes or Live Twice on a compilation as I feel both of them should have been No.1!! I didn't get to Paisley to see D turn on the lights, but the number of people who turned out to see him was amazing!! Wonderful photo!! :heart: - Whatever happened to Yazzi?? I haven't seen her on the Boards for ages!!?? Julie

Duncan has just announced on 'Skating on Ice' that he is delaying the release of his single 'Amazed' to concentrate on theatre and other work. And then Ben Shepherd said that Duncan was 'giving up' his 'pop' career!! I think that Duncan has been brilliant on 'Skating on Ice' and hope to go to see the tour. I wonder what he has been offered work-wise after that!!?? Darius did say in his Q and As that another stint as Billy Flynn was on the cards and that he had been offered the role over the Xmas period. I was disappointed that he didn't take it as I think he would have possibly won the WOS Award had he still been playing the part and that would have done wonders for his credibility!! However, maybe he is looking to play 'Billy' again closer to the release of the album, as he certainly has got to do something to raise his profile again before releasing his new music!!! Whatever he plans to do, I hope he gives us plenty of notice and that we don't have too long to wait.... :D Julie
