On the Ambassador tickets site it now says that the show is 1hr. 15mins long!!! Surely the show is longer than that isn't it??!! Julie

I have Wendy to thank for telephoning me to remind me this was on!! I can't remember the last time I listened to Radio 2 but Neil and I thoroughly enjoyed the 2 hours and I really found it quite interesting. I never realised half those songs were sung by Matt Monroe!! Darius was exceptional - his voice has a quality all his own.... I always knew he would one day get to sing a 'Bond theme'!!lol! He was really well received by the audience so hopefully they will all enquire about his tour dates. Paul Gambacini only said that Darius would be continuing his tour on Tuesday but didn't say where!! It was a shame he didn't list all the towns where Darius would be appearing but anything is better than nothing!! Certainly a job well done Darius Julie

They should get Darius and Mylene to host the show - I'm sure Darius wouldn't mind committing himself for a few weeks and he and Mylene get on really well together! Alan Titchmarsh just looked like 'a fish out of water', although I'm sure he appealed to an audience of a 'certain age'!! :D Julie

Aren't the media cruel!!! Jackie was supposedly heartbroken when she split from Darius. Only Jacqui and Darius know the true reason for the split but Jacqui (supposedly) went away to Hong Kong for a modelling assignment afterwards to try to get over it!! Julie

I think Darius and Michelle are Scotland's answer to 'Phil and Fern'!! Didn't he do well - he seemed very relaxed and worked well with Michelle!! I think it is very probable he will be offered more presenting work after this..... it would be lovely to see more of him on TV but I don't suppose it is something he would want to do regularly!!?? Darius has added another date to his tour - Eastbourne Congress Theatre on 4th November... :cheer: (There's nothing about it on the theatre website yet though) Julie

Wendy, Allison and I have booked (so far!lol!) for Wimbledon and Bromley and the tickets came this morning. :cheer: It's always nice to have something Darius related to look forward to!!! :D Julie

It does seem strange, doesn't it!! Maybe they are still waiting to hear from Darius... What about asking Darius via his Facebook page - he does sometimes answer queries... I would hate to think we are all getting excited about nothing!! :cry: Julie

What a 'fun' way to wind down what I am sure is going to continue to be a very busy year for Darius! He will be able to spend the Xmas period with his family and friends whilst earning some money and keeping his local fans (and maybe long distance fans!lol!) happy and amused. Lots of 'stars' appear in pantomime.... I'm just so 'old' now that I cannot even remember the story of Snow White but I would like to think that the production would certainly make the most of Prince Charming I've never been to Glasgow but now I'm thinking a long weekend may be in order.... :D Just one question Darius.... will the release of your album be before or after pantomime season???!!! :dance: Julie

Over on Facebook a lady named Vivienne Vincent has posted many photos of Darius during his performance of Escamillo - there are some real 'close-ups' She has altered her privacy settings so that anyone can see them. I don't know how she got away with taking so many!!lol! Julie

Hello everyone... how are you all today? Another string to D's bow - he should be very proud of himself I know I'm biased, but his stage presence is amazing!! I didn't notice his nervousness at all - I thought he seemed very comfortable and I particularly liked the fight with Don Jose. I was a bit disappointed with the supposed bull-fight, I thought there would be much more action but we were right down the other end of the stage so we couldn't see much of that anyway!! The whole show was quite spectacular but I don't really know why there had to be so many on stage at any given time as I felt there was too much to take in - I suppose it was so that wherever you were sitting in the audience there were always players in view! Occasionally I couldn't even tell who was actually singing and although it was in English when more that one person was singing I could hardly understand a word!! I enjoyed it more than I thought I would but I'm afraid I find opera very 'corny' and unless D takes part in any more it hasn't tempted me to try another!! :) Thanks for the pictures Meg - Darius makes a wonderful toreador :wub: :D And thank you Meg for getting the VIP Lounge passes - it was lovely to see everyone and even though we didn't get much chance to really chat to D it was really nice of him to consider us important enough to be among his friends and family Now I just can't wait to see him again......
