Darius in Carmen O2
I really would love to go to this... I have just checked ticket prices, which range from £28-75 to £67-25 and I have been offered Row F in Block 102 - the stage is in the middle of the auditorium and Block 102 is centre front. I have just checked the diary and find that I am supposed to be going to see Lee Mead that night with my husband and step-daughter!! :banghead: Anybody want a Lee Mead ticket!!??  Julie P.S. I was told the performance was at 1.30p.m. Anyone know how long Carmen is?.... perhaps I could get back and see Lee Mead as well!!

Interchange Thread - No. 6
The same thing happened to me in Sainsbury's car park when I parked in a disabled bay - Mum is 90, we have been parking in the same car park at least once a week for the last 5/6 years and Mum or I always displayed the disabled card in the windscreen always making sure the time was correct. I never worried which way up the card was displayed - I didn't realise it mattered!! I was furious and complained in the shop. They were very sympathetic and said that if I sent a copy of the blue badge and a letter to the council they were often lenient. This I did, saying that it was disgusting picking on disabled people who were obviously entitled to park in the relevant parking bays and should save their efforts for members of the public who did so illegally!!! I received an apologetic letter back and was let off of the fine - so I should think!!! It was Xmas time so perhaps they were feeling extra generous but I still think it is worth a try just because of the principle of the situation!! :) Julie

3rd Album news
Over on D's Facebook page under 'Just Fans' Rachel has posted a link to an interview D had with No. 1 magazine - at the end D says that he is working on his new album which will be a cross between Michael Buble/Josh Grogan and will hopefully be ready by the end of the year!! He does say he will be touring and promises a very exciting 2010 so I hope he has plenty in the pipeline prior to the album as it seems we still have quite a wait until it is ready! Julie

- Classical single for Haiti - The Prayer
It said to 'allow 28 days for delivery' so there's still a while yet... I'm still waiting :) And you can order up till 11th April, if anyone needs any more... Julie- Popstar to Operastar3
Kym Marsh has decided to congratulate Darius on his PSTOS win in her column in New magazine this week (better late than never!!) 'WELL DONE DARIUS! I was shocked that Darius Campbell won PSTOS. I thought he was really good, but I was convinced Bernie Nolan was going to win!.... ...... I think out of all the contestants, that Darius will benefit the most from being on the show. He has even said he'd like to pursue opera as a career. I read that the show isn't going to be recommissioned. It's a real shame. I thought it was fantastic Friday-night entertainment.' Julie P.S. I thought a final decision had yet to be made on whether the show would be recomissioned!?- Avril
Hello Paul- how are you? Yes, of course Wendy has been watching - just try and keep her away!! :D We have had our regular Friday night chats after PSTOS and met up for lunch on Monday with Allison. We tried to get tickets for the show but didn't hear anything!! We are all anxiously waiting to hear what D is going to do next and we will be there - it will be so nice to meet up with everyone again.... let's hope it's soon!! :D Julie P.S. Wendy has just started a Facebook page if you want to be 'her friend' :D- Darius on Alan Titchmarsh show tonite wednesday 23rd feb.
Maybe it was too personal to sing in English!! Didn't he say it was called 'I will always love you'...... I wonder who it was written for!!?? Absolutely lovely - I wonder who helped him write in Italian. The first bit of promotion for the new single?/album? He certainly is multi-talented!! Julie- Avril
Can't wait to have the opportunity to meet up with them all again - they are all so 'down to earth' and approachable! I remember trying to have a conversation with Cyrus when D was in Chicago - he was so shy then and it seems from the clips on PSTOS that he still is.... bless him!! :D Julie- GMTV 9am + AT 5pm 19th February
On D's Facebook page..... he is going to be on Alan Titchmarsh at 5.p.m. today!! Julie- Darius wins ITV's Pop Star to Opera Star 2
Yaaaaayyy..... :cheer: He was absolutely wonderful tonight, wasn't he!!!! The duet with Rolando was breathtaking  The best 'man' certainly won on the night - I am so happy for him!! It was lovely to see all his family there to support him, especially his Dad, and did you all see Jacqui sitting behind Avril!!?? :D Nigel Lythgoe was right, tonight he has gone from 'celebrity' status to 'star' status and I can't wait for everything that is now to come.... As Darius would say 'onwards and upwards'!! :D Julie- Darius wins ITV's Pop Star to Opera Star 2
Well, I'm sorry folks.... I got it wrong again!!lol, but I'm really glad that D is duetting with Rolando. I have not got a clue what the'Pearlfishers duet' is, but anyone who knows anything about opera seems to think it will be really good for Darius and hopefully that is what it will be! 60/40 split in favour of Bernie in the voting so we'll have our work cut-out but I'm feeling a lot more optimistic now!! :D Julie- GMTV 9am + AT 5pm 19th February
Bernie is going to be on Alan Titchmarsh with him... Julie- Darius wins ITV's Pop Star to Opera Star 2
Someone has posted on the PSTOS Facebook page that Bernie is duetting with Rolando!! :( I think I would prefer D to duet with Rolando rather than with Katherine - but D did say in his webchat that he would love to duet with her, so it looks like he has his wish! Julie- Darius wins ITV's Pop Star to Opera Star 2
David over on Facebook (i.e. the one that likes to cause heated debates!! :D ) did post a while ago that he had heard on a radio programme (don't know which one) that the winner would perform at Covent Garden but in what or for how long for, he didn't mention!! I just hope that if D does win this show, he doesn't get too involved with whatever will follow and the album and tour will get sidetracked again!! Whatever he does, I just hope he keeps the momentum flowing after all this publicity!! Julie- Darius wins ITV's Pop Star to Opera Star 2
I wonder if there will be an 'after show party' and Rachel will get to go!!?? I hope she manages to get some photos  Julie- Darius wins ITV's Pop Star to Opera Star 2
Trust Darius to try and stand up for himself - he even asked Katherine and Rolando which aria they thought would be more impressive.... but we didn't hear their reply, I don't think!! Just imagine how well he would have done if he had practised the right aria from the beginning - I thought he seemed really comfortable with it (why did posters on DS think he would find it really hard to keep up with the music) and took it all in his stride. Admittedly, it certainly wasn't an aria that was recognisable and didn't have any impressionable notes but it must have been very tricky to sing and remember and I think D did excellently!! :cheer: I'm glad Bernie got through to the final with D but I felt this was her worst week (Marcella was better this week) - apart from the excellent high notes I thought her singing was very erratic and quite croaky in places tonight!! Anyway, I'm so pleased for Darius - let's hope he gets a chance to really shine next week and whatever the outcome he has proved himself yet again!... BUT.... it would be so lovely if he could win this COME ON DARIUS!!! :yahoo: :yahoo: Julie- Darius wins ITV's Pop Star to Opera Star 2
Wasn't Darius excellent tonight!! I thought it was the right bottom two - although Marcella has been 'spot on' in previous weeks I thought she was the worst tonight, I just didn't enjoy her performance of 'Ave Maria' at all!. Did anyone else have trouble voting? I managed 10 votes but from then on only got the 'engaged' signal - I was praying that all the people getting through were voting for Darius.... and it seems a lot of them were :cheer: They have been saying over on DS that two people will go out next week leaving only two for the final (male and female would be good :D ) and that they will sing a duet with the mentors - maybe that is why D would love to sing a duet with Katherine! We now have to look forward to going through all this again next week.... it's exhausting, isn't it!! Julie- Darius wins ITV's Pop Star to Opera Star 2
Thanks PiP - it's there now! Julie- Darius wins ITV's Pop Star to Opera Star 2
What did delphi post at 3.54p.m.? I've just got a blank space!!? Julie- Darius wins ITV's Pop Star to Opera Star 2
What was that you said Pam? I can't hear you!! The last two weeks we have been out on the Friday night and I have had to use my husband's mobile to vote as mine wouldn't accept the calls! I have made no commitments for the next three Friday nights so I can use the home phone out of my husband's sight so he won't know how many times I have voted - at least until the bill comes in!! :o :D We can do this for D :cheer: Julie- Darius wins ITV's Pop Star to Opera Star 2
None of my comments were shown or questions answered -I'm just so pleased there were so many people wanting to chat with him!! Did you all hear me scream when he mentioned a new album and tour ? I hope he means this will happen even if he doesn't win PSTOS :yahoo: He did say this year - hopefully in the next few weeks, .....not next Christmas! :D Julie- Darius for ITV's Pop Star to Opera Star
Darius wants people to post him questions under the 'Discussion' section of his Facebook page and he will answer as many as he can, sending the replies out in his Mailing List for his Official Site on Friday. Questions anyone? Julie - Classical single for Haiti - The Prayer
