I would have thought "No Man's Land" and "After You" would be a lot more personal!

Yeah, I get what you're saying too... but I already think they've played it too safe with the singles so far, remixing "After You" etc for radio... so I say to push the album, release something daring! Also there was a fan poll on the fan MySpace page and "Black Butta" won with "The Queen Of Starting Over" in second place - I think these should be the next two singles! But the petition obviously is for people who want it as the next single, we aren't gonna force you to sign it if you don't agree! ;)

I'm sorry we are not FORCING her to release it, we are saying how much we love the song and would like her to release it... I want this album to be a success and this is the best song on the album. It was the one that was mentioned most in album reviews and the one that got the best feedback on Jools Holland! Something's holding them back from releasing it and this is just to say that the fans are behind a release of "Black Butta" (which Bev herself says is a staple record on the album!!!). If you want her to release songs that keep missing the top 40 and do nothing for the album, which might lead to her being DROPPED then that's your prerogative. Just because someone is a fan, doesn't mean that you have to agree with EVERYTHING an artist does when you don't agree with it. I've been a Beverley Knight fan for eight years now and I don't want her to be dropped when she doesn't need to be with the right single choices. Bev obviously likes "Black Butta" as she performed it on Jools and decided to showcase it on the "Voice" tour! I respect your opinion though and if you don't want to sign it, that's fair enough! :) I love "Ain't That A Lot Of Love" but two of Bev's most recent singles have been covers ("Keep This Fire Burning", "Piece Of My Heart") and I don't think it would be a good idea to put yet another one out. People recognise "Black Butta" anyway for being a homage to Ike and Tina Turner's "Nutbush City Limits"!

I think NML had better promo... Loose Women/GMTV/Jools Holland/Something for the Weekend... AY had Paul O'Grady, Saving Planet Earth and This Morning but I think The Wright Stuff was pointless... and two of her promo dates for "AY" never happened (This Week and South East Today). "After You" did have better airplay though, so I can't believe it didn't even go near the top 75... really sad!

Thanks for signing! I love "After You" (one of my faves!) but I don't think it represented the album well... Bev's promoting it as a live album and then they release the two most studio mixed tracks on the album. How does that make marketing sense? #131 for "After You" is such a disappointment!

Hey guys, sorry to bother you like this... but I read your comments regularly and thought you might want to know about this! There has a petition been set up by Bev fans for the release of "Black Butta" as it seems like we're getting nowhere at the moment. Someone on the forum has bought a VIP ticket to meet Beverley at the end of July so he will hand the petition to her in person... it's hard to get Parlophone to sit up and listen to the fans and this is currently the best way we know how to try and do our bit to get "Black Butta" released! So please sign if you feel the same way! http://www.petitiononline.com/bbutta/petition.html Thanks guys and take care! ;)
