We didn’t get the dates, did we? Looks alright. I’m having a problem picking this back up after restarting my game.. I haven’t even made it to the school yet :lol: maybe I’ll hold off on playing again until the DLC. They didn’t give much away. I never really played the Sw/Sh DLC. Never peaked my interest.

Given no Summer Season this year I've lightly been doing a re-watch. Unfortunately one of the seasons I decided to give a Re-Watch to was Big Brother All Stars 2 :lol: Ugh. What a disappointment this season was. No doubt this season would NOT have been All-Stars if it wasn't for the pandemic. However, looking back I'm still impressed with the ensemble we got, but it definitely needed more tweaking to make it successful. Pre-gaming obviously ruled this season and highly influenced the outcome. But I have to admit there is some really poor gameplay this season on all fronts. From a casting perspective, you can't really beat Cody, Ian and Tyler. They were always going to return. Although I like Kaysar... this game is clearly not for him lol. David for me was a huge disappointment, he shouldn't have been asked back.. he's not All-Star worthy. My disappointment lies in the fact I found out Beau Beasley was asked but it never went anywhere. Beau/Janelle and Kaysar together again would have been HILARIOUS. But also balances out adding older players into the season. I also feel they could have flexed Kevin out and replaced him with Beau as well. For the Females. Of course. Nicole F, Dani, Janelle, Da'Vonne were always going to be asked back. I actually think the women were very balanced this season. I always hated Christmas. It kills me that she was only an alternate and landed in the house. I'm just at Jury now with my re-watch and the first half of this season is highly uncomfortable to watch. The "other side" of the house (Kaysar, Janelle, Da'Vonne ect...) were always so close to winning HOH in every competition prior to Jury... it hurts. The HOH Order this season was just... awful. Christmas' HOH was just as uncomfortable to watch the second time around, however, looking again with fresh eyes... I have to say Bayleigh really fumbled with Christmas disclosing Da'Vonne as her number one. Both Bayleigh and Da'Vonne had sloppy gameplay this season. Da'Vonne using the veto on Kevin the following week was... ???!??!! what?! Sure he's a number for you, but that number clearly isn't going to stick around that much longer. This was really Da'Vonne's chance to get in good with this big alliance that was clearly getting ready to turn on each other. Dani's HOH as well :lol: god messy messy. FOUR NOMINEES?! Your target was TYLER. He was on the block at the end of the week and STILL didn't go home. Dani really fumbled this season as well, playing too hard too quickly and winning that HOH exposed way too much of her gameplay. Getting Ian out did absolutely nothing for her game. He wasn't even close to coming after her.

Kimora Amour and Anastarzia "Starzy" Anaquway will be contestants on the next season of Amazing Race Canada. I don’t think anyone in the RTV Forum watches Amazing Race Canada, so felt it more appropriate to put in here, even as an FYI! Oh apparently this may be getting a Season 2 after all….

Only 4 Episodes left for this season, and with the Writers Strike and Hulu being so up in the air I’m not sure what’s going to happen for this show for Season 3.

Beyond The Sea: Definitely my favourite out of the three so far. Aaron, Josh and Kate were all fantastic (especially Josh in the orange shorts hehe) Predicable at times however, you definitely knew what was going to happen as it unfolded - but all together, good story. A little dragged out. Mazey Day: 80% of this felt like Episode 3 of an existing series on Netflix. It’s crazy how much they cramped into that small episode. For me, that had everything I was looking for. Story, Gore, Twists, Gluttony. Demon 79: Wasn’t for me really.. I was exhausted by this point and just wanted it to be over. Loch Henry. A bit more of what I expected from Black Mirror. A good story and good development of that story (and that’s what I felt was lacking with Joan Is Awful). I liked the Documentary angle to it all, they could have drawn out the arch in the storyline a bit more however. I’m keeping the last three for tomorrow night as I have a long weekend!

I also watched Joan Is Awful. I have to say, I love Annie Murphy (like LOVE love). However I didn't really care for that episode if I'm being honest. I found it predictable and a bit dull. It really just hit all the points a Black Mirror episode should, but nothing more. I'm trying to get my friend into Black Mirror, and she loves Annie as well.. but, not sure I would recommend that episode.

This season of Masterchef Australia is really hitting for me. The show definitely got me thru the Pandemic and I feel the same attachment with this season as I’m going thru a difficult time. I can’t believe we are almost at Final 10, this season has been a breeze, but also really enjoyable. This is definitely the best rookie season they’ve had in this era of Masterchef (Season 12+) although we have really only had one true rookie season. This is definitely hitting better than Fans vs Favs. With that last elimination I really do like a lot of the remaining contestants. I do however think the show is leaning in a Cath winner direction. How I’m feeling: Best RTV Contestant On TV at the Moment: Declan Love: Adi, Antonio, Brent, Grace, Rhiannon, Rue, Theo Like: Malissa, Ralph Next To Go Please: Cath Such a strong group of contestants left. DECLAN TO WIN.

Franchise announced for Canada! The hit format The Traitors is being adapted in Canada in both English and French, as The Traitors: Canada for CTV and Les Traîtres for Noovo, respectively. More announcements to come shortly, but part of the initial announcement was that there will be some familiar faces!

Global TV announcing their upfronts for 2023/24. Big Brother Canada was not on the immediate announcement, however, in the past they have been given separate announcements that have come out the same day. Will be interesting to see if this is renewed. No insights on how well last season did without the feeds. Edit: officially renewed!!

No Civilians next season, only “Celebrities” which I’m absolutely fine with if they keep the bar as high as they did last season. UK apparently is filming in July, so maybe filming right after?

Whoever did the male casting this season of Masterchef deserves a raise. Antonio, Brett, Declan, Robbie & Theo. All exceptional. I’m rooting for Declan at this point.

Samantha confirmed for Season 2, Kim will reprise the role for the season finale.

I think this may also be my favourite season in the 40s as well. Season 40 (All Winners): Eek. Terrible boot order and the ending was completely ruined by COVID. Season 41: I liked Season 41, especially Erica's win.. but poor editing this season and introduction to all these twists. Season 42: Another strong winner with Maryanne, however, most of my favourites in this season went right after Jury. I think I prefer this season over 41. Season 43: lol no. Season 44: Again, poor Pre-Merge but amazing season in Jury. We are used to the twists at this point so I didn't see this as unfavourable as I did for Season 41/42. Season 45 is definitely their opportunity to leave things such as Shot In The Dark and Fake Idols in the past. I do however like Knowledge is Power. My only concern - this is the only season currently filming!!!! Nothing picked up so far that I've seen for another season of Australian Survivor and South Africa. We do have the UK coming, but I wonder what the hold up is with filming other franchises.. it's not like there's going to be much on TV this fall with the Writers Strike.
