I wondered where my thread had gone ...... I actually called it Kilt Appreciation .. can it be changed? This is what we want .. I know its lovely going through the pictures thread (Remember the "Darius Darius" thread on the old official board!! Howver long was it .... miles long ...) but sometimes you need a quick fix of The Man fae Bearsden in his Kilt ... and this is the place to do it. Could we have it pinned ... we don't know when we will next get a new kilt pic (Come on D ... finger out ...) so we dont want to lose it amongst all the other ones. Any danger Miss Drops? Edited to say .. have to agree with Michelle .. pert and cheeky ... and grab-able ... and before you ask, yes, I have .... I remember the date and the time, its engraved on my heart 11.20pm 10th May 2003 Cardiff Hilton Residents Bar .... His reaction ... a cheeky smile, a squeeze around my waist and I melted! THUD!!!

Personal choice made through free will Paul ... thats what makes the world go round and, by coincidence makes for interesting threads!! I personally cannot stand "I would die for you" ... another story and I digress. By getting to the semi final Darius had reached his "seeding" to use tennis parlance. He was consistently coming in behind WY and GG who were the darlings. By this point he had made his point that he could sing extraordinarly well and be controversial with it too. Will answered back to Slimy. So did Darius. Will had his "genre" of soul (which he appears to have forsaken - but then I no longer listen to him so he may have done something of this style for all I know .. or for all I care) Darius had the big ballad genre. Will was just a bit twee with his poppy disco action... Darius gave us the full on hipswaying sex moves with Its not Unusual ... which made the GBP sit up and take notice - I certainly did! Yes, we do know the story behind MIEOY and Dancing in the Moonlight. DITM was a likeable song and its D's version that sticks in my head even though Ive played the original at doos where its always gone well and as a request on our Community Radio Station. However, Mr Slimy wanted nothing to stand in the way of progress of his favourite new cash cow and if Darius had wiped the floor with Gareth who sang well but to my mind with nothing extra than he had already given , Slimy knew he could be overtaken if the WY lot stood their ground. So who got sacrificed on the Altar of Cowell .... the Bearsden Boy. Darius has always said that he admires SC for his business sense. You have to. If Sir Alan Sugar hadn't taken on the job of Master in "The Apprentice" Simon Cowell would have been perfect. "That was appalling You're fired" However, I digress again ... covers .. ahem ... I sincerely believe that if there were to be just one cover for Darius ever to do, ever again, wouldnt it be poetic justice for him to do You've lost that lovin' feeling. I for one have a place in my head and heart that often wonders - What if ... What if? But then, Ive also often wondered, whatever happened to Darius' versions of Evergreen and Anything is Possible?

Have to agree with Baytree there ..... TV Producers will do anything to make sure the angle they want is there and if they have decided how its to be, then you have had it. Thats how Aubergenie never got in front of Simon Cowell She wasnt the blonde haired skinny minx and too good to be one of the joke contenders .... all decided by a producer Make it Easy On Yourself was the song where I fell in love with Darius so no other song measures for me .....
  5. I remember doing it for Dive In on Jill's Board and we also did it on Sonnet's before Live Twice (don't think you were visiting regularly at that point, April-June 2004)
  6. Happy - yeah .. Love Shack B52s will do for me Sad - Waiting for a girl like you - Foreigner. It was mine and my late husband's "our song" and for that reason makes me cry but for one song that I cannot listen to at all, for any reason at any time it has to be Old Shep by Elvis. If that comes on the radio, its turned off straight away and I dont have a copy of it despite being an Elvis fan since childhood I heard that song two days after my puppy dog died when I was eight and even now the memory of it just makes me want to bawl my eyes out. Jesus wept ... thats *mumble mumble* years ago .....
  7. 1. Dive In - Darius Danesh 2. Talk About Lately - Paul Fuller 3. Night Fever - Bee Gees 4. Satisfaction - Rolling Stones 5. Another Brick in the Wall - Pink Floyd 6. Waiting for a girl like you - Foreigner 7. The Power of Love - Huey Lewis & The News 8. Down in the Tube Station at Midnight - The Jam 9. My Perfect Cousin - The Undertones 10 Something chill out and ambient .... Your choice for me Mushmeister 11 Claire de Lune - Debussy/Orchestre de la Conservatoire de Paris 12 6th Symphony - Ralph Vaughan Williams/London Symphony Orchestra Now someone post a selection with more diversity than that .... if you can, I shall buy you a bag of toffees
  8. Erm ... no ::P: I could find a few mingers for you .. give me a few days .... Actually what is really really weird is that since I have landed in the decade I am currently in and the phenomenon that is satellite has reached its zenith (or should I say nadir) where shows from 25 years ago are regularly aired ... I have found that the crumbly celebrities of today in their earlier years 25 years ago have something rather erm ... cough ... shaggability about them I am now the same age as they were 25 years ago .... I blame it on hormones
  9. Having lived through the decade like Secret Song - I was a pre-teen child at the start and an adult at the end of it. Like most impressionable teenagers I went with the crowd on some things and wanted to be individual on others which is why I liked Marc Bolan and T Rex before he was totally glammed up ("why have you got TREX on your Maths book Pat ... do you like cooking fat or something") Duhhhh .... Then of course later in the decade when Marc was dead, punk had gone all arty farty with the Clash thinking they were gods (a bit like Coldplay nowadays)and disco was the thing I was out with my mates on the pull boogie-ing to Que Sera Mi Vida (How am I going to live) by the Johnson Brothers whilst my pal Jayne constantly fell down the stairs drunk ..... meanwhile secretly at home I listened to Paul Weller (before he got his head totally up his arse) of The Jam and declared him to be a poet. By the end of the decade I was with the Undertones from Londonderry Northern Ireland .... doing totally mad things and racing round the country watching gigs A bit like nowadays now my kids are grown up ..... There is nothing new under the sun ....
  10. In reply to your question in the topic title .... No But I think the concept for the TV show is hilarious .. must watch the next episode

She was mostly a backing singer, let out to do "First Cut" She had an amazing voice and was totally underrated. She could have had much more success but maybe she preferred being on the backing .... Shame
  12. Kimmee (where the hell are you woman????) started a thread elsewhere a month or two before the announcement of the title of the single Kinda Love and the album Live Twice In that thread she asked everyone to get inside Darius's creative psyche and try to predict the titles of the next single and album As far as I recall someone came very near to guessing Kinda Love .... and someone got "live" as one of the words for the album So ...... anyone up for another go? All you have to do is to guess two words that might be part of the title of the forthcoming album and first single from it I reckon the nearest deserves a prize ... Megham, how about getting something out of your secret stash, you've had boxer shorts ... surely there must be a string vest or a thong in there for a clever predictor?? :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P Here's my entry Strange Emotion
  13. I voted for both because I love both for different reasons I just cant wait to vote for the third .....

Well it had to happen didn't it ..... No sooner had Mrs Porter called for it then Mrs Gardener is happy to oblige THIS IS THE KILT THREAD!!! The one thing I've always wanted to know is, why hasnt he worn the kilt to any gig outside of Scotland (except for Smash Hits Poll Winners 2002) There are people absolutely GAGGING to see him in a kilt. At Culzean Castle last August there was a perfect opportunity .... just think, mane of hair, wonky cross on hairy chest and a kilt ... I'd have missed my plane due to an attack of the vapours ..... Post your kilt pictures here ... it can be of himself or any other thud/bangworthy man in a kilt It can also be "aaaah" worthy as well .. coz Ive a pic of a young man in a kilt which is totally "ahhhh" (more of which later) But what we want mostly is ...... http://www.kiltmen.com/celeb-darius-danesh.jpg Over to you peeps .... B)

  16. I am speechless to say the least. FFS what is going on with the management?? Its not rocket science to email Sonnet at dot net or to get a thread posted on Divas .... Ye gods, I have been in communication with his PA twice over the last two years because of the Birthday Card thing and also in connection with some private things ... so they could easily have emailed me!! The last I heard back in January was that Kate Lower is on maternity leave but there is a girl called Chloe Ridley who is supposed to be doing her work For anyone who wants to email try Reception2@19.co.uk .... for the attention of this Chloe one Suggested heading "Get your finger out"
  17. That was the splodge of cream on top of the cherry on top of the icing on top of the gorgeous cake that was Hammersmith which was the centrepiece of the rich buffet table that was the Dive In Tour! Im hungry for the next one ..... so hurry up and sort it Mr Danesh .... I was still drunk .... :P

Its an inspirational book for anyone who has been bullied, felt stupid or has done something that they initially felt ashamed of I went through a huge crisis of confidence in September 2003 and it was this book that pulled me out of it. If more people read this book they would understand what makes MY pop idol tick and why all of us here love him to bits. i like the way he explains how he felt about being in Pop Idol and why he didnt want to win. I often wonder now what would have happened if he had Anyway .... if you havent read it ... do so. For fans its a must and for those undecided or anti, it will open your eyes

Thats it ... Darius uses his head at the recording studio whilst his body is used elsewhere .... I think its a mock up picture ... the head doesnt sit well on the body they have used. I dont think I heard Incredible being used for a charity down here in our region (ITV West) i think the programme where someone nicks his CD from him was The Priory where the presenters hit on some member of the public unexpectedly (I think it was Zoe Ball and some bloke ...) and challenged them to beat the celebrity. How anyone could beat Darius at running I have no idea. Those long legs must take him so fast However, ask Madame Cholet about running after him at Haydock Park....

I couldnt say that better myself ..... Yes, I am sure there will be a flurry of activity If not, then we can truthfully say that the establishment of a Buzzjack.com Darius Community has been beneficial to the health of the wider Buzzjack Constituency ..... Its definitely been a load of fun!! Ive felt less constraint on this forum than anywhere else Ive ever posted in the whole of Dariusland ....
