I also am buying Rhydians album. Also heard a few of the tunes fro m it. The first one O fortuna is the music that the x factor judges walk into the show on and it was also familiar to me. Think that may be the case with several others. He does have an amazing voice but hes not Darius.

I do like the music from it so we will see. There is an interesting statement from Rhydian about wanting to appear in a musical like the follow up to Phantom and the second sentence is perhaps what Darius should have had in mind - quote Rhydian revealed that he would be interested to appear in the Phantom of The Opera sequel, Love Never Dies, which is scheduled to open in London’s West End in March 2010. “I would be interested in appearing in the second or third casting but I wouldn’t want to be involved initially because no one knows if a new musical is going to be a hit or a flop. I think the last sentence is so true.

Hello Pip.I am going to see Evita next week. It is one of the few shows that I havent seen before. Am looking forward to it but think I will be disappointed like you,. the story background doesnt really appeal to me. However Seamus who is playing Che guvara I think was in the tv show where they were looking for someone to play Joseph amnd Lee mead won. I thought Seamus was really good in that so shall expect him to make an impression. Also next week am going to see my local boy Glyn kerslake wsho as ive said before has played several westend .leads viz phantom, les mis, miss saigon etc. He is appearing down here and also has concerts lined up with philamonic orchestras in belfast and birmingham and a one night show in knightsbridgeat the pizza concert room with shona lindsay, an evening which I ha

Agree what is said about the management, Jonathon Shallit would have been good, he manages Mylene Klass and managed Charlotte church when she came to fame and then left him.

Thanks for all the information Rachel and everyone else. Having read this about Bon jovi I did wonder if D was finding it similar on the acting side - quote - Bon jovi - Jon Bon Jovi has claimed that he will never act again because he finds the audition process too tough. The singer has starred in several films, including Pay It Forward and U-571, and has also made guest appearances on TV shows The West Wing, Sex and the City and Ally McBeal. The star was recently lined up to appear in police drama Criminal Minds, but later turned the project down and his role was handed to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale. Contactmusic quotes Bon Jovi as saying: "What I hated was sitting in some waiting room to audition for some s**t role that five other actors already turned down, and I walk in and he goes, 'You're too short'. F**k off. A working actor is unemployed every two or three months. Wow! That's a tough gig. I'd rather write a song." > Jon Bon Jovi: 'I don't like Hollywood'

snippet - Marti Pellow will return to the role of super-slick lawyer Billy Flynn in Chicago as part of the show's forthcoming national tour. Pellow played the role in the West End in 2002 and 2004, subsequently playing it on Broadway and an international tour.

Re both phantom shows running alongside each other I suppose they hope people will go to both as the story follows on. One of the leads in the new phantom show, love never dies, is Summer Strallen, a niece of Bonnie langford who played opposite Darius in Chicago. She also appeared on tv in Landgirls.

Will they keep the current Phantom show going when the other one starts, two phantom shows running alongside each other, I cant see that working. I still see Rhydian for the first one some time in the not too distant future much as I would like to see D in one or other of the roles.

It appears that he is the london phantom and then will be taking it to Broadway.

This as a show is not getting good vibes on the boards a bit like GWTW suffered beforehand. The current phantom Ramin Kamiloo sorry spelt wrong appears to be the lead in the london version. A song by him from this is on you tube.

I also like Daniel Bedingfield. loved his song If your not the one. However find it very strange that he has had three albums rejected especially when I hear some of the artistes (and I say this in the loosest sense) who have got deals. very strange indeed. I did think Daniel would set up his own label as he always had his own studio from the beginning but maybe he is going the way of David sneddon who gave up being a pop artist and writes for other people which apparently he is doing very well at and doesnt have to appear in the public eye.

My feelings are that either he is not bothered about his talent or is not being allowed to bother but either way it is the loss of in my view a great talent. It is strange that another talent that surfaced at the same time and was a friend of Darius has also gone to hibernation or though it seems, that is Daniel Bedingfield.
