Been reading about Alison Moyet and wondered if this could apply to D re mercury. quote and a fall-out with her record label that prevented her from recording any studio albums for eight years (she changed company after that)

At the risk of sounding repetitive, I met a D fan today. She bought Ds book from me (I have several spare copies) so I asked her if she was a fan and she said both her and her daughter were. She said she was pleased he had proved people wrong by doing well. I mentioned this forum to her and brought her up to date about him.

Its only on the trailor Meg which is very short, dont know if it will be used for the actual show.

Perhaps this will appeal Meg. has anyone seen the clip trailor for the show Doc martin on ITV 1. anyway it is accompanied by a short sung clip of lets face the music and dance which D sang on pop idol. I thought the clip sounded verymuch like him singing . Hope someone else can catch it and say what they think.I have woke early during the night so caught it three times and to me its close.

It looks like 19 are going to be very busy this coming year. I see that Nigel lythgoe is returning to the UK to produce with Simon fuller and judge the british version of So you think you can dance. Auditions start in October next. I have watched the american version of this with Nigel as a judge, he was the one who said on Popstars Darius will do what Darius has to do, and the american version was tremendous. Dont know whether the standard here can reach them, not ballroom although it may be incorporated in short snaps, but modern, tap, ballet and every other dance going. A feather in the cap for the BBC who will be showing it.

What lovely happy pictures. WOS have a thread musical flops that deserve a second look. So far no mention of GWTW but that is to my mind because many of those who got on its back didnt even see it.

quote Bramley - I would guess the Taraneh Banoo post is merely someone trying to piggy-back their way to fame. Otherwise they would have gone through the normal agent's route. Perhaps he hasnt got an agent - one could be forgiven for thinking that is the case in view of his appearances - joking.

Yes but shes always doing something and hes not. Cant understand 19 in all this i.e. why they are happy with this situation as managers unless he is doing performances over there that we arent hearing about but dont think this is the case, it would surface somewhere surely.

Im back from the show. The shows was brilliant although I have seen it several times on tour before this was by far the best version. This was due however to good production , great costumes and paticularly good male chorus work. In fact the male voices individually of the chorus were great as was the Pharoah and they had such a zest for it, this was the last performance. However the other voices being so good to me showed a weakness in the voice of Joseph himself, he at times to me looked lacking in stage presence and a bit lost but I suppose I would say he was adequate. and to me this was shown especially when the actor who did elvis came on with so much ability and stage presence . He personally got a great reception. My gran d daughter lov ed it and her dad bought her a cd of joseph before the show so that she got to know the music beforehand. They got a great ovation at the end and all the audience were standing up and joining in and they did several encores. This was staged by Bill Kenright and if the next one of his in november which I am seeing Evita is as good I will be pleased.

Off to see Joseph and his dreamcoat this afternoon at Torquay on tour. Taking five year old grand daughter. However not looking forward to Craig Chambers from Glasgow as Joseph, didnt think much of his singing voice in the joseph show on tv when I think he came about eighth, not a patch on a certain other persons voice from Glasgow.

Seen no further news but that Natasha is to make a film in Canada and her site says that rumoured tax cuts there could make it more popular for film making.

Ditto megham. Also dont find any charm in SCS productions. It all szeems like a rehearsed format to me, the sob story, the judges comments etc etc.

Hotel Babylon
Thats what I thought but Darius doesnt seem to get any luck any which way.

Referring to Juliias comments about DS and Darius's birthday I saw that very early this morning also but because of the comments under the picture didnt post. There were twelve photos of other celebrities who had birthdays also but he was the only one with derogatory comments. It is getting one for eight/nine years since popstars and it is a long time for them to hold such a grudge and that is what is for they dont mention his recent outings like hotel babylon. I think we would all like to know why.

I have a market stall. I realisaed I knew him but couldnt place him until Sophie dahl walked out with him and then the penny dropped.I checked on his website and saw they were pushing for him to come to Pagnton which is across the river from Dartmouth so imagine he was visiting to size up the area or for a gig? He also recommends books to read on his website, believe he is an english literature graduate. He bought a l964 paperback version by Agatha christie but I cant remember the title. We do get a few celebs at Dartmouth because it is very beautiful with the naval college standing above the river.
