There is a rich list of reality stars given today - top are girls aloud, WY. 12.5 million, GG 6.2 million. Darius is at no.20 with 900,000. There are a number of others above him like Suzanne shaw, mylene klass kym ryder all from hearesay, etc etc. I am doing this from memory as cant find copy of paper that was given to me. I also think they would go for a big name but honestly how do these people get a big name themselves. I watched the film Australia this week starring Hugh Jackman who I keep reading about being a huge musical star wanted for this and that and although he is Ok as an actor, the charisma was not there for me. he looked much older than I expected, craggy I think would be a description for me.

Wouldnt it be good if they could do this with Gone with the wind. quote - A concert performance of the recent Broadway flop, 'A Tale Of Two Cities' is to be filmed at the Theatre Royal Brighton this summer. It will be screened in the U.S in late 2009. The DVD will be released in the U.K Dec 2009 with the production screened on UK TV in 2010. Members of the Broadway cast are to fly over for the production and they will be backed by a full company of English performers. The public could then make up their own minds.

Ditto what Meg says. However I cant understand why if it causes problems with him commuting for work (and again I cant see why that does as many others have partners and their career doesnt suffer) he doesnt do some work over there aka cat deeley, melB etc etc or has the block raised itself there.

Those guests Baytree has mentioned Kay Adams, carole smillie, michelle mcmanus are all from either Glasgow or nearby arent they so why not Darius appearing or is it a female show.

Am goin g to see Gilbert and sullivans The Gondoliers this week and have booked to see Hello Dolly and Evita later this year. Also booked go see Glyn Kerslake my local singer who has appeared in the west end in the lead in sunset boulevard, Miss saigon, Phantom les miserables etc etc. He is appearing with Shona lindsey also appeared in the westend in numerous leading roles. We have a small theatre here converted from a church as well as two other theatres so am lucky as we have very strong amateurs in this area who have gone on to bigger things. Sunday last the local dance studio where my grand daughter is learning dance put on a concert of dance of winners fron the south west of england festival which is also big and it was amazing, there was ballet,tap,. modern dance,national group and they introduced a former young pupil who is now principal dancer with the Royal ballet so the standard generally is exceptionally high. Hope i havent bored you but I do love my theatre.

Sorry it jumped. I was saying last night I watched for the first time the film of phantom of the opera. The phantom was played by another scottish actor Gerard B utler. I have to say his voice is nowhere near as good as Darius and i could see D in this part. It sounded to me like Gerard was assisted on some notes.

N o I dont think you were silvertongue. Things have certainly changed and I do wonder how Darius will get back in the mainstream, of things with an album unless he get promotion somehow and again I dont know how that will happen.

Generally on various sites I get the feeling of negativity beforehand on this before they have even seen it a bit like GWTW received. A lot will depend on the music itself. I still think Rhydian will pop up somewhere here be it existing Phantom or new one or even Lee mead. Apparently during Rhydians tour last night Lee mead made a surprise appearance doing a duet with Rhydian but as you say there will have to be changes at some time but both parts will be vocally challenging and there will be a lot of competition for them. Maybe D was in london for auditions.

There are two or three pages of photos of this on wireimage but none of Darius. There are several pictures of the uk team but I csnt pick him out there. Maybe he didnt play.

Im waiting for D to do something!!!

My other thoughts are where are his management 19 in this, if he i still with them. Would they be happy with this situation.

Because ALW has his own group of favourites, i.e John barrowman, lee mead,ramin kariloo etc etc and many others, not much chance I feel, would not want him to be doing a new show again for obvious reasons prefer tried and trusted on the next occasion.
