  1. You didnt miss much Meg. It wasnt so good as his documentaries on Dubai and monte carlo.Unfortunately he did some focus on Sharon Osborne nuf said but Mel B came across as her usual no nonsense self and is very much at home there. What did register with me was the british actor who had appeared in several tv shows here and auditoned for a one liner in a show to find 40 others there with him. He still after being there three years had not had a part.Ian Gryfydd the welsh asctor had ben there seven years before he made it and Matt Goss went there to get away from the british press, sounds familiar and he now was very successful with a new album coming out and other projects alongside. However they dont want to know if you have failed at all. Piers interviewed the top paparazzi firm who mentioned that they considered their work now part of promotion. According to Piers the British are very much sought after there at this time and even he himself was getting a lot of attention from them. He also said it was the place to come to reinvent yourself. He also interviewed Lady victoria Hervey and she I do remember getting constantly a horrible battering from the press here but in a lot of ways it is sad, they have lifestyle coaches, trainers and goodness knows what else, I think he said even their dogs do but perhaps he was joking.
  2. Sorry it posted itself again before I had finished. My reason for watching is not an interest in Hollywood although I like to see how the other half lives but you never know who you might see.!!

The problem is there are so many guest stars in it over a period. Abi titmuss being one of them, that they probably wouldnt pick one out .
  7. Sorry to hear you have more bad news meg. In answer to Surrogate, yes I did see Bet midler singing from a distance and I do like her but some seem to think she was not singing live. I do however love Ds version much more, much richer sound.

Useless snippet. Virgin airlines 25 years avert on tv. There are a group of air hostesses in red uniforms. The one on the far right I am sure is Jacqui ainsley. Good to know she is still modelling.
  9. There is a piers morgan documentary on next Thursday 9pm ITV1.Thought it may be interesting. www.dailymail.co.uk scroll down right hand side to Piers morgan and read his report re life in hollywood and brits trying to get acting parts etc etc.and living there. D is not mentionedin his write up in the mail but it give an insight into what happens there. I think it will be good as his reports on Dubai and Monte carlo were. I havent put up his report as it is very long but the documentary should be good and you never know!!

Is this one of the same episodes D is in. quote DS Ex-soap star Amy Nuttall has signed up to star in BBC drama Hotel Babylon. The actress, who played Chloe Atkinson in Emmerdale, will appear in the final two episodes of the fourth series as receptionist Mel. "It's my first big TV role since Emmerdale and it's great to be back. It’s very different from working in theatre," she told the Manchester Evening News. "But I'm really excited about it. All the cast are lovely and I play a wonderful character who is great fun to bring to life. "[Mel] isn't exactly the kind of character you'd expect to be working behind reception in a five-star hotel. She's great fun to play, though." Nuttall will star opposite Nigel Harman, who replaces MaxBeesley. I still think it is odd that all these other guest stars get mentioned in this connection but D does not.

I had theatre vouchers also or Xmas but theres no use by date so I shall sit on them but we do seem to get various things at our theatre here and of course the amateur society here is so good its better than a lot of the westend and they do do varied shows We have Evita coming on tour which i have never seen so will go to that but like Baytree nothing in the westend attracts me, having just seen Oliver done by the amateurs and first rate. Again it has been done to death but the songs are strong throughout. The theatre here has done well with musicals etc and it is having at the moment a £50,000 lift.

Posting this because its quiet and features Ds ?manager. Maybe D wsill get a look in although it looks like it will be american tv. Fuller planning 'Now...Music' series Monday, February 2 2009, 11:37 GMT By Alex Fletcher, Entertainment Reporter Simon Fuller has confirmed that he is devising a show based on the long-running music compilation series Now That's What I Call Music!, reports Billboard. Fuller's 19 Entertainment company is currently developing the format, which is expected to include live performances and concert footage from chart acts, veteran stars and up-and-coming talent. "It will be a new take on music programming," said Fuller. "Now is a good, existing example of the music industry working together. This show will unite the whole music industry and give it one voice." The TV guru insisted that the show would 'not be a spinoff' of American Idol. Now... CEO Bob Mercer said: "The TV show is designed to take the brand Now and bring it to a broader level. A lot of people are buying Now as their guide to what is happening in the music world over the last few months. The intent is to take that brand and that trust in that brand and establish it as a TV show with the same elements." He added: "We'll probably form our own pop chart so the public can be involved." It is not known which network would air the show, but 19 Entertainment has a strong relationship with Fox, which broadcast Idol and So You Think You Can Dance.

Managed to listen to ki.lt with a fly. Made me realise what professional DJ he makes, so polished and the italian accent came into play that I presume will be used in hotel babylon.

The concert - which is your opportunity to celebrate with us and to congratulate your winners and nominees in person - takes place this year on Sunday 15 February 2009 at the West End’s 1,100-seat Prince of Wales theatre, home of Mamma Mia!. Amongst the names newly confirmed to perform at the Awards Concert are: Niki Evans (pictured), the former X Factor finalist now starring as Mrs Johnstone in Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers; Ramin Karimloo, the current masked man in the West End production of The Phantom of the Opera, who’s also been tipped to star in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s long-awaited sequel to the musical; American diva Kim Criswell, whose myriad credits on both sides of the Atlantic include Side by Side by Sondheim and Anything Goes; Siobhan McCarthy, the original Donna Sheridan in Mamma Mia!; and the tenth anniversary company of the Abba musical that’s now an international blockbuster hit on both stage and screen. Darius didnt attend the last time he was nominated. Dont understand why, surely it is a means of networking, defnitely a reminder that he is interested enough in being nominated.

Thanks for that Baytree. Just had a listen. A pretty song well within his capabilities, wont stretch him. Two of the other acts have been on tv recently, Men allowed won the BBC tv programme last choir standing and were very good and Faryl was in Britains got talent, 13 years old didnt finish in top three but a trained opera style voice signed but not sure if its to SC or universal. Should be a good evening.
