  1. My Family is one of the very few recent sitcoms which is on a par with the classic ones, I think. Mine is too Baytree. My son is having an extension built and and walls were going to be knocked down.yesterday they came to us for the kids to have tea and then a meal for them and then bath the kids. I had already had the children all day and was knackered consequently when I dished up his wifes dinner I dropped it on the floor, broke the plate everything and had to improvise something else, what a mess. To cap it all at the end the builders decided not to knock through but do it today or next week so it will happen all over again. It has been going on since the beginning of july.
  2. Yes Baytree, I watch the restaurant. watched it last year. When they each get their separate restaurants, it will get interesting. To me it was one of the best programmes last year. Also love dragons den.
  3. Just come on for first time today. So sorry to hear the news re Megs father in law. It was good that he was able to come home and they were able to spend time with him. Much sympathy to meg and her family at this sad time.

Baytree Daniels site is Daniel Bedingfield.com. It appear he is doing a concert in london later this year.Thank you for your views Bramley. You wont get slaughtered but I dont agree with them. I dont find their views on that site a bit amusing and there have been more than one thread with lewd comments directed at D not at any other actors which makes me the opinion an axe to grind. They think they are so clever, apparently the last thread o n GWTW where they jumped in with their cleverness had 30 pages deleted. There are lots of other shows who close early yet have not warranted the stars of those getting such comments. Anyway its is read by all which is a pity, even the person who asked for the song list I think was taken aback still I think a lot of people dont join that site because of that group, me being one.

Thanks julia for your post, interesting and I agree with your comments re that poster on that forum. He does seem to have inside information but there is such a click there of knowalls who jump on the bandwagon too particularly when GWTW is mentioned as if they have an axe to grind. I do agree that GWTW should have gone on tour first and I do wonder what the outcome had been if a different producer had been in charge but then a different producer for example cameron mackintosh etc may not have picked D for the role but one of the male leads within their favoured group. However in my eyes D was perfect for that role. However Trevor nunn seems to have come away virtually unscathed. I wonder if he will be given the chance to produce another musical.

If you remember I quoted recently someone on broadwayworld.com wanting a GWTW songlist. The thread on this on that site has got nasty again with the same person who posted that photo saying quote - stop this coming to town six weeks in hammersmith is enough. What has this person got against D, thats what it seems. I would dearly love to reply but it means joining that site and wont give them the satisfaction of doing that as its awful. It seems he in particular is worried it may be revived.

I went to see the concert with the local chap glyn kerslake who has been the lead in four musicals in the westend and it was excellent. H was supported the first half by some excellent acts including the girl who brought it together and had played the lead in 42 street in the westend, her tapdance and ballet was amazing. She and two others did all that jazz from chicago and they did a first class job on Mr Bo jangles with her, glyn and a girl cellist from the sadlers wells orchestra. It was in aid of a foundation for the ballet/tap dancers foundation for cancer which both her mum and dad died from. They raised £2000 and it was completely sold out. they also filmed the show throughout for a dvd. However I was a bit disappointed as wanted glyn to sing the songs that show his voice off like bring him home from les mis etc etc. He did take bids for money for songs at the end and did sing bring him home and sunset boulivard which he appeared opposite elaine paige originally. He wasnt terribly happy to sing les mis etc as he said he was all les mis worn out as he was asked to sing it so often and his programme included quite a bit of jazz and stephen sondeim but that is understandable as he is a whizz on the piano also. Hope I havent bored you but would love to see D do something like this.

Im not a lee mead fan either think the same as you but I did think what the poster implied re D could stop him raising the bar as it were especially as he is not in the favourites group of ALW etc who seems to have the successful; shows at the moment although I do think D is better than that.

This is a snippet from WOS in a thread . about Lee meads next role - quote There's a risk he's got to take here - because it could seriously damage his (so far very good) reputation if he goes straight from Joseph into another starring role in another huge-scale musical, and it isn't successful". I agree with that absolutely, Marius Pontmercy. The likes of "Gone With the Wind" is a case in point. Darius Danesh didn't personally get bad reviews for that, but association with what is perceived as a disaster will still be difficult to get over. And in Lee Mead's case, it wouldn't take anything as dramatically bad to rock the boat a little. It might be wise to play safe. On the other hand, if the inclination is there, that would be read inappropriately too, so I don't think it is an option. I'm not sure about "Billy" as a next role for just the reasons you raised though. He would seem to be very appropriate casting in actual fact, but because it is so heavily dependant on the lead, he would effectively be personally held to account if it isn't successful, whatever he does, when it might be more a case of not being the right time for that show. But it will be a risk whatever, and it isn't one that can be avoided. . I did think about this point myself in connection with D.
  14. I dont know why this keeps happening it posts before I have finished or struckl the post key. however he is managing to get himself in the media quite well, this time its OK mag with pictures etc of him on honeymoon. I do wonder why they or anyone else didnt pick up the pictures of D in the swimming pool etc in LA it seems odd.
  15. NoI dont know but he is managing to get himself in the medias q
  16. Sorry I am not a member of that site nor do I want to be. Not prepared to get in slanging matches. I just thought it was interesting that someone was wanting to know and why. The last time I was there was over the picture with the kilt where a few of us had a go.
  17. Posted on broadwayworld.com today GONE WITH THE WIND Song List? Posted On: 8/30/08 at 11:59 PM Could someone who saw the show kindly post a song list? Or please link me to a thread that has the complete song list? I tried searching for it with "Gone With the Wind songs" and came up with nothing. Thanks in advance!
  18. It does seem like a long time since we saw him but I realise its not and that he does need a break. I am busying myself with going to other shows and am looking forward to seeing glyn kerslake in concert as he has a great voice and no sniggers please!!! I am going to see Jane mcdonald in concert early september. I didnt go last year and was sorry I didnt because someone I know who was dragged there said it was brilliant, she had a full orchestra with grand piano etc and her new album is at no.7 in the charts so she has done well for herself but of course its not like seeing D. just wish it was him in that position. Would you rather D released an album with some covers than not release, I know I would especially if it included some of the numbers he has spoofed but done straight like american pie, the time of my life, etc.

I dont know what label he is on Baytree, it didnt say. I expect you are right in that because they are musical theatre stars they release musical theatre numbers and not their own work but if D is going to be known for musical theatre as well, it would be good if some musical numbers were thrown in somewhere for the public if they fitted in who will know him for that aspect and if it meant getting a deal.it is mentioned on DM that danielbedingfield has been trying for two years but on the release schedule posted on this site his name is under coming soon. To some degree it seems that the labels are constantly looking for the next new artiste.

I think what prompted my comments above on D and his album was this on WOS Oliver Tomsett will be performing songs from his album at Bush hall in August. He apparently was the lead in Wicked and is a musical theatre star I have not heard of and he will be supported by paul ayres from the jersey boys. so Oliver is another case of releasing with the charts not in view yet has a label. I often wonder what happened to the girl who supported D on the dive in tour, she had a really good lead single off her album which I really liked but she didnt get much promotion and had been in the music industry for years. Her name escapes me for the moment.

Sorry done it again. I thought the same as baytree re indie label. GG has managed to release an album which 19 must have had some say in or helped with and also emma bunton. A lot of artistes release albums who dont go anywhere near the charts and dont want to so why not D. I realise that when he is in LA its different but when he is here its as if he is invisible which I dont think is a good thing. Also we wonder what he is doing in LA no gigs or some gigs. A lot of concerts crop up here like ALW birthday etc etc but Ds name doesnt which I dont think is a good thing. just my thoughts.
