Interesting. Thanks for another great report.
  2. Chris, Gareth and Suzanne gave fine performances tonight. For me Gareth was the favourite :cheer: (and not quite so orange). Seems he was kept behind, when they were all sent for their fake tan  Ratings for the programme (according to DS): Week 1 ratings. Dancing on Ice - 8.9 million ( peaked at 9.9 million ) Dancing on Ice- The Skate Off - 7.7 million Week 2 ratings. Dancing on Ice: 9m (37%) *peak: 10.2m at 7.15pm. Dancing On Ice: The Skate-Off: 8m (30%) Oh and Natalie was voted off.
  3. Unbiased opinion :naughty: It was the white effect :) Thought Chris and Suzanne deserved top 2 places with Gareth in third. Surpised at Sarah Greene going as she was one of the participants that seemed to just enjoy it for what it is. Great programme but  to all the adverts. ITV obviously recouping some of their money.

I'm now coming here before I read the top 75 (now 100). . An interesting insight to follow. and thanks.
  5. I don't think there is any cause to be abusive but frustration simply causes it sometimes. Hence some of the frustrations. I would willingly pay more for a British Call Centre commodity and wonder how many other people would too? With the emphasis on certain Companies using this aspect in their TV advertising, it seems there could be a slow exit from India.

Dave Jordan. Craig David too. Thanks for the info.
  7. From articles I have read today it seems Chris Fountain and Suzanne Shaw are the favourites. Obviously I shall closely be watching Gareth's skills (with my fingers and toes crossed), but I think that Aggie could be a surprise in the competition. Here is a link to a short video when the launch took place yesterday CLICK HERE :)

I think so too. It's snippetts like this that make the report so interesting: . 50,000 copies and not released- wow. Thanks for the report.

Sort of BUT...... a conversation over the Christmas period where someone who had bought me the Katie Melua/Eva Cassidy CD said she had bought the same "as a little extra present" for all her other friends too, confirming that if it's easily available as a physical, it will picked up by the public. I noticed too when popping into Sainsburys that Leon's single is being sold with the albums. His physical sales must surely reflect this availability too(and that is no slight on Leon, I would have commented whoever 's single it was).

Another host of information. Love reading it. Thanks and Merry Christmas.
  12. I do so hope you are right. :cheer: Can I ask why the speculation(I'm certainly not complaining)? Just interested in your view. Thanks.

Whilst I thought he didn't make the right decision, perhaps after all the slack he has had aimed at him, he felt that 'Changes' were due and whatever the outcome, he is now in control of the music he wants to release? And try asking for a back catalogue of an artist from Tesco?? (They should stick to selling bread)
  14. Totally agree. I don't think McFly get the credit they deserve either. They work hard touring up and down the country, playing live. Their last single. in my opinion, was their best ever. They just need to get a DJ on board to big them and their writing skills up, and then that Ivor Novello award may follow?

Brilliant post. Hope you don't mind me adding my thoughts to some of yours? Think it has been a difficult year for the music Industry (and lots of non music related retailers in general) so the highs have been that we still have the likes of HMV on the High Street selling music. The low has been that Gareth Gates choosing 'Changes' as his comeback single, from an album of far better choices.

I do agree that Shayne was written off by many but (re my addition in the top 75 thread) he has worked blooming hard, up and down the country to promote himself, seeming not too proud in any choice of venue. It has paid off and he has done extremely well. Good Luck to him but I can't help feeling a little bit jealous, wishing it was Gareth. Thanks for the commentary once more. Always enjoy reading it.

Great to see Wham back in the singles charts ready for Christmas :yahoo: Well done to Shayne. He has connected with the people by promoting when and wherever he could and seems to have worked really hard at doing so. The appearance at Butlin's seems to have done him no harm at all, in fact may have helped sell a few more albums. Am sorta jealous wishing it could have been Gareth, but think it only fair to give credit to Shayne.

I loved Hold On but when I heard this today I couldn't believe how repetitive it was :( .

That's quite a low entry for him. Is it because he just sells bucket loads of albums? Thanks for the highlighting.
  22. Am looking forward to hearing this album. It is going to be huge. Pity The Times only rated it 1*.

Another good commentary. I only really discovered and showed interest in his last album, so nice to read about the bits I have missed. Thanks.

Thanks for the charts. Good to see Craig David has done OK. Interesting re the single releases of Kylie and Spice Girls being bought forward to Sunday. Is David Gray a download position?
  25. I think both singles are poor too. I soughta want the Spice Girls to win the No. 1 spot but think it might be a tight call.
