  1. . I am not so sure. I think it could have helped sales.
  2. What a shame that I keep focusing on the overloaded skip in the background :( . Feel the song is a bit dull too.
  3. 71 The Sun omitted to mention Gareth Gates too.
  4. Thank Mikey  on its way to to you! :yahoo: :yahoo: cracks open the champagne (and wipes away a tear). At last, this it what I have waited to see for so long. Now the reality (and the nail biting begins) - Feb 5th is far too soon. While Gareth's decision to remain out of the spotlight for the last couple of years is respected he now needs to get back in it and let us hear these album tracks he has been working on. Looks forward to the next bit of news - Single's title is....... (Just wish I could put up a link to a couple of songs from Gareth's programme, so others could hear them and see which they feel would be most radio friendly- off for another lesson in technology)!

Heard it on the radio yesterday. Sometimes one needs to hear it again and again before 'it grows on you'. I think it will be 'growing on me' if my local radio has its way because the DJ was bigging it up big time, saying the song and the singer were "mint" and that "this guy is going to be huge in 2007"! As we know it is sometimes in the hands of the DJs
  6. Oops. sorry (thought the interview was a bit early re Feb release). Am loving the song
  7. Listened to the interview with Preston yesterday and I thought it was said that this single was on February 15th
  8. Thanks from me too. Please thank the other guys on Haven (I haven't ventured there yet although I have heard people are as nice as they are on here). Thanks also to the lovely mods, who seem to be fair at all times. Merry Christmas everyone.
  9. She has done so in the past and will continue to do so in the future. That is her way but it is not his.
  10. Was this the same interviewer that interviewed David Beckham and Robbie Williams in their documentaries? I know it was the same producers. Her New Years resolution needs to include 'look for a new job because I am no good at this one' I had forgotten how Gareth can be a little shy. His choice of words when answering delicate questions re Jordan etc. were choice. He told it how it was without putting her down in anyway. It isn't so much as 'tubing out' as not being his way. I am sure he would have loved to say 'Thank God the shackles are released' but saying that he can now release music he is more passionate about and has more input in, reveals a whole lot more.
  11. Eric Prydz has been the most requested on my local radio for the last couple of nights so can see this doing really well. I sincerely hope that after tomorrow's Gareth documentary, he too will be added to the release schedule. :D
  12. Had never given it a thought that we may lean about the album release stuff. What a Christmas present that would be. Bring on tomorrow at 7.30.

For me Gareth Gates :D :D and the Long Blondes :D (Think Razorlight may take some time off apart from Glastonbury)
  14. There are definitely better tracks on the album. I really didn't like this one untill I have heard it repeatedly on the radio. Now I love it :) (The power of airplay eh)
  15. I like the compulsive viewing bit :) Not so sure about the watch out SC bit :( This is Neil Sean after all. Can't believe that I have waited 3 years to see Gareth back on TV and yet this last 2 weeks seems like an eternity. Mr.ITV - Just a little taster advert will make the time go quicker, please
  16. Definitely not. Have to listen to music every single day.
  17. Details of tour: Fri 30 March 2007 Westpoint Arena Exeter Sun 01 April 2007 Bournemouth International Centre Bournemouth Mon 02 April 2007 Newcastle Arena Newcastle Tue 03 April 2007 MEN Arena Manchester Thu 05 April 2007 SECC Glasgow Glasgow Fri 06 April 2007 NEC Birmingham Birmingham Sun 08 April 2007 Earls Court London I found this statement on the ticketout.com site: Does anyone know any further details of why, please?
  18. Must confess to only listening to Radio 1 in the day(unless I am in the car at night). Must try to tune in at night a bit more to see if it changes my opinion.
  19. I wondered if there were any DJs on here who could throw some insight into how it all works but glad that you are able to see behind the scenes. My local DJs work really hard. Most have a programme 6 days a week, appear in our local city for promotion and then dj in the clubs at night. What I was wondering was how much imput they have into what records are played. Who decides the playlist? It would be nice to identify the DJ with what music he played but sadly that is no longer the case.
  20. I sometimes may listen to one particular radio station all day :D , and have noticed that each DJ may play exactly the same tunes as the previous programme (but in a different order), so what exactly is the role of the DJ?

I saw her interviewed on Soccer AM and thought she was really nice........ (runs and hides)
  22. Either that or a largely reduced investment upfront. There has to be a new incentive to sign new artists, not just resigning the tried and tested.

Now there's a surprise I thought Patience (Take That) would have held the top spot. I have heard it played continually this week. Perhaps it will show as No.1 next week. Can't believe The Kooks still getting massive airplay after all this time. Razorlight are, quite rightly, beginning to drop ready for the next release Thanks for posting. Always interested to see who is and isn't getting airplay.
  24. Gutted that Mylene didn't win. Her graciousness and pluck made her deserve it.
  25. And I suppose this can only get worse. The bigger the label, the more money to invest in their artists, the more money they make, to then buy up smaller labels :(
