nd Place - 183 Points Cheryl Tweedy - Girls Aloud our runner-up with 183 points, is ‘the nations sweetheart’ Cheryl Tweedy / Cole / Fernandez-Versini. as a member of one of the countries biggest girl groups of all time, achieving more consecutive Top 10 singles than any other chart act, Cheryl became one of the most popular celebrities going - aided by her high profile marriage and eventual divorce from footballer Ashley Cole. in 2008, Cheryl joined the judging panel of The X Factor - mentoring Alexandra Burke all the way to victory (followed by another victory with Joe McElderry the next year). Cheryl began her solo career with the million selling single Fight For This Love, which was nominated for a BRIT award in 2010 - followed by a further 4 number one singles, which for a brief period made Cheryl the British female solo artist with the most UK Number 1 singles. Cheryl may divide opinions, but love her or hate her... you’re all talking about her. plus, Cheryl guest judged on Series 1 of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK last year - and it produced some proper wholesome TV. 3rd Place - 161 Points Melanie C - Spice Girls Mel C getting to Top 3 feels very satisfying. Of all the Spices, you can really tell Mel C has the most passion for music on a whole - seeing as she’s the only member to have continually released music since the groups split, no matter the chart position or sales. Mel C has probably the most distinctive voice of the group, and has racked up: 2 UK Number 1 Singles, 7 UK Top 10 Singles and 7 UK Top 100 Albums - selling 20 million solo records in the process, in addition to the 80 million she sold as a Spice Girl. Mel C has also appeared in West End productions of shows such as Blood Brothers and Jesus Christ Superstar - winning the What’s On Stage award for Best Supporting Actress in a Supporting Role for the latter. kUedP6NUyj0 Spice Girls Members Placings: Melanie C - 3rd Melanie B - 6th Victoria Beckham - 9th Geri Halliwell - 10th Emma Bunton - TBA

th Place - 146 Points Mollie King - The Saturdays I’ll be the first to say I am very shocked to see Mollie this high up, personally she did get my full 25 points and I’ve always known she was very popular with The Saturdays fanbase... but I’ve got to say I really loved seeing her fly so high in this countdown - she really does deserve that. I don’t actually think I’ve ever experienced anybody love being in a girl group as much as Mollie did, you could tell from every performance or interview - she just lived and breathed being 1/5 of The Saturdays... and I feel her bubbly personality and passion for the group (that was sometimes lacking from other members) resonated with the fanbase. after going on hiatus in 2014, Mollie signed a solo record deal with Island Records - and Back To You debuted at Number 90 in August 2016 (which isn’t too shabby seeing as she never promoted the single)... but pop-star Mollie wasn’t to be, as after competing on Strictly Come Dancing 2017 and finishing in 5th Place (after being eliminated in the semi-finals with partner AJ Pritchard), Mollie seemed to become the golden girl of the BBC, now hosting TWO shows on BBC Radio 1’s weekend schedule - she really has become a big post girl group success story, and I can’t think of someone who deserves that more (though I am biased). 5th Place - 145 Points Jade Thirlwall - Little Mix first up within the Top 5 of our countdown, is your favourite member of Little Mix... Jade Thirlwall. Whilst Jade’s vocals and general presence within Little Mix do make her stand out, I think what Jade chooses to do with her platform is what really makes her stand out within her group and the entire countdown in general. find me one girl group member that advocates for the LGBT+ society in the way in which Jade does, because I don’t think you’ll find one - she dedicates so much of her social media presence to positively influencing minority groups and even spends her birthday each year doing a Boxing Day Charity run. 6th Place - 139 Points Melanie Brown - Spice Girls just missing out on a place in the Top 5 is Scary Spice, Melanie Brown. probably the Spice Girls biggest fan, Mel B has tried to get these girls reunited on multiple occasions - and when she has in 2007 & 2019 it has been magical! Even the G.E.M project seemed to have the legs to really do something, Song For Her needs to be released on Spotify to be honest. A bop. solo Scary has achieved 3 UK Top 10 singles, including the Number 1 ‘I Want You Back’ (feat. Missy Elliott). Outside her musical ventures, Mel B served as a judge on 2014’s series of The X Factor and until this year was a judge on America’s Got Talent. 7th Place - 129 Points Nicola Roberts - Girls Aloud for a lot of the votes, genuinely though Nicola had the win in the bag - and I wouldn’t have been mad or shocked at it either. what a unique and incredible voice this woman has, Cinderella’s Eyes was so underrated by the general public because it’s a phenomenal album - Sticks & Stones is a personal favourite. outside her musical ventures, Nicola helped bring in the legislation to ban sun-bed use for under 18’s in the United Kingdom, Is renowned within fashion circles and has written music for artists such as Little Mix and former band-mate Cheryl. n_BG3n1q5KU Girls Aloud Members Placings: Nicola Roberts - 7th Nadine Coyle - 8th Sarah Harding - 24th Kimberley Walsh - 25th Cheryl Tweedy - TBA

th Place - 122 Points Nadine Coyle - Girls Aloud now I won’t lie... Nadine not being the highest placing member of Girls Aloud is something I do genuinely find a little offensive... the woman carried the group for over a decade and it’s just an injustice really. the robbed Queen of the Jungle lost her Passport at the start of the decade, and after lying about her age was given the boot from Irish pop group ‘Six’... which was easily the best thing to ever happen to Nadine. Fast forward a year, and she won her place in Girls Aloud on TV show Popstars: The Rivals. After almost a decade with GA, topping the charts and selling out arenas - Nadine was fuming when the girls decided to call it a day - but we were blessed with her Tesco exclusive solo album Insatiable... and honestly name a better meme queen than Flour Girl Coyle. (p.s. Go To Work deserves to be a HIT - it was robbed) a60eCadP1Fo Girls Aloud Members Placings: Nadine Coyle - 8th Sarah Harding - 24th Kimberley Walsh - 25th Nicola Roberts - TBA Cheryl Tweedy - TBA

th Place - 119 Points Victoria Beckham - Spice Girls the original Posh Spice outranks Ginger by a single point, to place at Number 9 on this countdown. Victoria was very solidly in the Top 5 for a lot of this countdown, but as the last few votes came in - she slipped a few places to a still very respectable 9th place. Victoria decided not to return for the groups sold out Stadium tour last year, which caused a few strong words to be said to the press by certain band mates... *cough* Melanie Brown - but maybe that’s because you could say Victoria has carved the most successful solo career of the group - becoming a fashion empire and one of the most stylish women on the planet, Brand Beckham between her and David is an unstoppable powerhouse. it’s nice to know even when she decided to ditch the groups reunion efforts, you guy will always be there for VB and her little black dress. 10th Place - 118 Points Beyonce Knowles - Destiny’s Child the one and only, Queen B herself places just inside the Top 10 of this countdown ranking as the highest Destiny’s Child Member and the highest American. Beyoncé is one of the most ground breaking artists or artists this generation, and has been serving bops for over two decades now. Beyoncé was the lead singer in DC, and reunited the group for her performance at Super Bowl in 2013 - which was hands down just one of the greatest TV moments around. Selling over 160 MILLION records between her solo and group discography, it’s easy to see how she placed so highly here - although I did expect to see her in at least the Top 5. 2EwViQxSJJQ Destiny’s Child Members Placings: Beyoncé Knowles - 10th Kelly Rowland - 13th Michelle Williams - 57th LaTavia Roberson - Did Not Place LeToya Luckett - Did Not Place Farrah Franklin - Did Not Place Geri Halliwell - Spice Girls shockingly to me, the first Spice Girl to fall out of the countdown at Number 10... is none other than Miss Geri Halliwell / Horner herself. during her time with the Spice Girls, Geri was loud and outrageous - with her 1998 BRIT awards Union Jack dress stealing the cover of every newspaper in the country. whilst The Spice Girls were busy topping charts across the world and selling our huge arenas, Geri decided she’d had enough and caused one of the biggest dramas in pop music history when Ginger Spice proved maybe Friendship does end, by leaving the group. following this, Geri broke the UK Chart Record for the most Number 1 singles by a UK female solo artist - and recently morphed into Posh Spice 2.0 for the Spiceworld Stadium Tour. 31mlEEs9_Vk Spice Girls Members Placings: Geri Halliwell - 10th Victoria Beckham - TBA Melanie C - TBA Melanie B - TBA Emma Bunton - TBA

th Place - 108 Points Perrie Edwards - Little Mix as we have a tie in 10th Place, it means that Perrie will just be missing out on a Top 10 finish by a margin of 10 points (ironic really). Perrie became the best known member of Little Mix very early on due to her high profile relationship (and eventual engagement) to One Direction’s Zayn Malik - which eventually ended very messily in 2014, inspiring the groups Number 1, MILLION selling single Shoutout to my Ex. Perrie has one of the strongest and most recognisable Girl Group voices of recent, and allegedly was offered the opportunity to begin a solo career in late 2018 by Simon Cowell, but declined and remained loyal to Little Mix - and this friendship really must be the secret to their long history and continuous success (something no other X Factor winner can claim). bFDzhKdrN9M Little Mix Members Placings: Perrie Edwards - 12th Jesy Nelson - 18th Leigh-Anne Pinnock - 19th Jade Thirlwall - TBA

th Place - 102 Points Rochelle Humes - The Saturdays first up in the 100 Points club of this countdown, and the second highest placing member of The Saturdays... it’s Rochelle Humes. During her 7 years with The Saturdays, Rochelle was usually overlooked by many fans, but since entering hiatus in 2014 - Rochelle’s career has flourished. perhaps becoming one of the most successful UK girl group solo stories of all-time really, Rochelle has gone on to host prime-time TV Shows on both BBC One and ITV 1 with The Hit List, Ninja Warrior UK and This Morning. Alongside Rochelle’s Television CV, she is also a best-selling children’s author and the owner of TWO companies (HIGlow & My Little CoCo). 15th Place - 98 Points Nicole Scherzinger - Pussycat Dolls the final lady in our countdown to sit just outside the 100 Points club, is none other than Miss PCD herself Nicole Scherzinger Nicole is known for being the lead singer of Pussycat Dolls, alongside her work as a judge on multiple seasons of The X Factor, which saw her mentor winning contestant James Arthur in 2012. Outside the PCD, Nicole has released two solo albums and achieved a UK Number One single with the huge banger Don’t Hold Your Breath. 16th Place - 97 Points Keisha Buchanan - Sugababes coming out on top of the six ever changing members of Sugababes, it’s Keisha. The longest serving Sugababes of 13 years racked up 97 points to finish in 16th Place on this countdown - and rightly so. Keisha achieved 16 UK Top 10 singles, 6 UK Number 1’s and MILLIONS of record sales - and once our final original Sugababe ‘left’ (was kicked out) of the group, the group really lost their momentum from the public, and only released one further album before calling it a day and fizzling out. 18th Place - 88 Points Jesy Nelson - Little Mix after successfully all making into the Top 20, we lose two Little Mix Members in succession. Perhaps the groups most inspiring member, Jesy Nelson takes 18th place in this countdown. throughout Jesy’s time in Little Mix, she’s been endlessly bullied and harassed through social media - but in winter 2019 she took matters into her own hands, and released her own BBC documentary which has been viewed over 7 MILLION times (it’s live broadcast on BBC 1 gained more viewers than ANY episode of this years two X Factor seasons) and is nominated for a National Television Award next month. gBAfejjUQoA Little Mix Members Placings: Jesy Nelson - 18th Leigh-Anne Pinnock - 19th Jade Thirlwall - TBA Perrie Edwards - TBA
