Does anyone know which charity the song Incredible was used to advertise/promote? - 'cos I can't remember :P What was the name of the tv programme that Darius was on just shortly after PopStars, where that lad ran away with the demo CD and Darius caught up to him in a phonebox + has anyone got it on video?

I put the thread in there Scotty :) - 'thisispop' had posted about it within a thread in the Darius forum and I thought it might be missed where it was that's all. There's nothing stopping anyone else doing the same. I am a Darius fan, but I didn't actually put Colourblind at #1 myself - but like I assume most people do, I did genuinely rank the songs in order of my own preference - those are the songs, which I enjoyed the most from that list and accept that other people will like different songs to me for all sorts of reasons. I do think that Colourblind is a good song - it's one of my favourties of his singles and a lot of other people I know that don't even like Darius liked Colourblind - so, to me it was a popular song that year for many people. If I didn't really like it, I sincerely wouldn't have voted for it. Much as I liked the Stereophonics - I've just realised I've got them on the list twice :rolleyes: - so, I've just edited my post, if the votes haven't already been counted - then it won't matter - but if they have it should really be -7 pts for the Stereophonics and +7 for Ronan Keating's - ITNC :P - sorry tip :(

I imagine you might need or have to have your full name on songwriting registries etc... I've sometimes noticed that 'Deni Lew' is on those as Denise Lewis. But I'm fairly sure, that on the albums Dive In and Live Twice - that the writing credits for Darius are just 'Darius' and yet, I'm fairly convinced that more recently I've noticed credits written as 'Darius Danesh' on some? CDS - can't think which/where I think I saw that just now though? ... will have to have a look through the CDS to see if I've imagined that or not :rolleyes: It might mean something or nothing at all ... :P :D

I remember he seemed quite chuffed at one time when it first became apparent that he was 'known' simply by his first name - 'Darius' - in the sense of other artists being known by a single name/not needing a surname to define who it was etc... But I also wonder if he chose to just go by the name of 'Darius' without the Danesh part, to keep his public persona somewhat separate from his personal identity and to perhaps sheild his family to an extent? ... particularly after the negative/press attention etc... following PopStars - I don't know - just a thought :) edit: Not saying that necessarily applies now - just thinking about how the name 'Darius' may have initially come about.

Off Topic I Know but ... I just wanted to say in response to all those who don't receive email promos about Shayne Ward, Will Young (and other Sony/BMG artists probably) - I have had several about each of them (and others) - with comps; links to videos; music clips - all sorts of promo type things. I've had many Will Young ones since his career began and several connected to each single/album release recently too; similarly for Shayne's releases too - so they are being sent out for sure. I'm not sure if it makes a difference whether you've registered with the sites of the artists concerned, other artists, or just generally registering an interest on the main Sony/BMG site to what you receive by email? But I think a lot of these emails are not delivered due to spam controls - you need to check your settings and spam folders, plus make sure you've added the sender's address to your address book. Sometimes there are problems with delivery to internet-based email accounts too, so your ISP email account is usually a better one to use, if you do want to receive them. If they're still not getting through after all that - I'd try re-registering again - if you do want them of course :P :D ... or maybe someone who does get them can forward copies to those without - might be a thing/service to flag up on the artists concerned forums. Complain too - because I imagine the record companies want you to have as many as possible :P and will get their finger out to try to sort the problem is there is one.

It might be me being totally thick - but I'm not understanding why Darius will necessarily win this anyway? - are there not just as many fans of other artists that are on the list that are members of BJ? Or does Darius have more fans than any other artist here? Sorry I'm just a bit confused over the comments about it lol! :wacko: But I agree it is only a bit of fun though - so I don't know why it seems to worry some people who wins it really anyway :P :D On the TV Record of the Year 2002 final, I personally do think Darius had the best record though :) Anyway, on with this show ... Following reading This Thread I'm just wondering whether Darius prefers to be known publicly as just 'Darius' or as 'Darius Danesh'? There always seems to be questions popping in my head anyway, so it gave me the idea to have a Questions for Darius thread on here too :)

Musically, so far he is known as just 'Darius' - i.e. on his CDS, website etc... and it's really his music that I'm interested in most of all ... so 'Darius' feels right to me in that respect. There are a few Darius's in the music industry though and perhaps the addition of 'Danesh' would distinguish him from the others, however I also think that the sole name of 'Darius' returns and results in more search material, which is sometimes a good thing for Darius - when people find him accidently by searching for a different Darius ... I'm wondering if adding 'Danesh' would limit that search advantage in some way? - :unsure: More recently, Darius has been referred to as 'Darius Danesh' more often, I'm not sure whether it's because it suited his role as an actor/singer in Chicago better, or whether it's evolved for a different reason; but you don't generally have actors referred to by a single name - do you? But whatever the reason, the name 'Darius Danesh' does seem to have been appearing more often to me. I don't know :unsure: - I'm personally comfortable with either I think - as I know him both, as just 'Darius' and as 'Darius Danesh' - i.e. I know that both names mean the same Darius to me - if that makes sense :blink: :P I think maybe this could go in an 'up against the wall thread' Pam ;) :D - I'd be most happy to refer to him in the way he would wish to be referred to - but I don't know the answer to that yet ....
