Thanks for those Maria - I love the naturalness of those too :wub: My guess about the first pic might be - talking about how tall he is? :D ... well he usually knocks a couple of inches off I reckon and I can see another couple hiding above his hands there ;) :D edit: forgot to add that his drenching certainly didn't deter him - in fact just the opposite it became one of his party-pieces - I love his sense of humour and fun! ;)

Hmmm very interesting, I wonder if that suggests the marketing/hype around a song has a significant part in whether we like it or not? ... I know it does generally, but I hadn't thought about that in terms of artists that you already know you like anyway, if you see what I mean. I'll have to have a think about whether that's influence how I feel about Live Twice, because I've played that one less than Dive In for sure. I thought it was for other reasons though, which I'll come back to another time, but I want to have a think about it in terms of other albums too like you have first :)

What makes you think more single releases might have changed your mind?

I don't like the electronic distortion either :puke2: (OT ... that spoils Better Man for me too :( ) But you still have to choose which to give the most or least points to - so, you still rank up or down to your favourite lol! - I know it's tough .... I struggle even with survivors :lol: Do you fancy doing some survivors on here Baytree?

I live in Manchester and I didn't get one :cry: - BMG haven't got my address either though and I don't think they've got psychics on the payroll - well not yet anyway ;) :D edit: Oh, nearly forgot :P I think No Promises is a 'nice' song - it's very 'out of the Scandinavian Song Writer collection' sounding, sort of Westlife meets Daniel Bedingfield with a bit of Blue-stylee rhythm thrown in there for me - but it is a nice song though, not a 'blow me away song' lol! - but I quite like it. I think that's mainly because I really like Shayne's singing voice though. I'm not generally a 'covers' fan, but I'm not totally against them either, it all depends whether I like the song and version of it. This particular track doesn't sound that much different to the original to me, but because the original wasn't a UK song, or one I was familiar with before hearing Shayne's version, then it's as if Shayne's was the original one to me anyway I suppose. In spite of any criticisms I could level at marketing strategies/systems/the music industry etc... that are applied in different ways with different artists, the advantages and the disadvantaged etc... I try my best not to let those things influence whether I actually like the artist/music or not - hard to avoid being brainwashed though I know :P I think the song has had a reasonable amount of exposure on the internet; tv's etc... I'm well aware it's out on Monday, put it that way ;) - but I've not heard it on the radio much yet though. I'm not generally a singles buyer, unless I really like the artist or the b-sides, but I might buy/download this one particularly because I would like to see Shayne do well - because I think he has talent. I think it's far too early for me to judge how talented he really is as yet - but I do like what I've seen/heard of him so far, so I hope he gets the chance for me to find out at least :)

Could you choose between those covers and Darius's own songs even? :D How did you manage to do the Survivor games? :D I know it's really tough to choose a single favourite, I'm hopeless at it too and change my mind depending on my moods, the weather, whatever too - I think we've been very spoilt for choice so far, that's the problem - it's practically impossible. But it's interesting to see what different people like best though - well it interests me .... I just hope everyone doesn't abstain like you :lol:
