All seems to look and sound ok to me, everything is working including the videos - have you tried refreshing the page Preston, maybe you're getting a cached page or something? MySpace changes can sometimes be delayed in showing up for people sometimes, but we should all be seeing and hearing the same things, but it doesn't always seem to work out that way all of the time :wacko: I didn't know there was a Buzzjack Myspace - just requested an add :D

I've torn myself away from trying to do my Darius Top 10 again and listened to these several times over today - I keep changing my mind about the order of the last 3 - but this will have to do Pretty Flamingo 6 Baby Can I hold You 5 Sandy 4 Something Inside So Strong 3 Whole Again 2 Make it Easy 1 I chose Pretty Flamingo first, because it feels like a very natural Darius vocal throughout to me. I really like how Darius sings it, especially when he really gets into "Oh Flamingo Flamingo Girl, won't you walk into my world, Sha la li-ah la, she's so fine, sha la la la la la la la" - Groovey :dance: ~ get a real sense of dancing around the Temple with flowers in hair just listening to the recording of it, wish I had been there, or maybe not :P :lol: Baby Can I hold you - Beautiful song, always beautifully sung, whichever version ~ just want to hug him when he sings this -awe :wub: Sandy - I don't actually like this song in its natural incarnation, so the fact that Darius 'rocked it up' was a great improvement over the original for me, though it's still a very corny song, especially the spoken part lol! but I just love the energy and it sounds natural and I think he sings it really well. Something Inside So Strong - suffers slightly from an off note on "side" at the end, 'the occasion' nerves are evident I think, as I'm pretty sure it didn't happen when he performed it to the press the previous day, I remember that particular performance being my favourite one of this song, as it was made for him to sing to them ~ so fitting :( so, I felt that performance somehow had more feeling/poignancy about it. This one seems weaker, but it also suffers compared to the rest here, as it's so short and doesn't have any of the musical production and/or arrangement and backing vocals that all the other songs have benefit from, so it's getting extra brownie points as compensation for that I think ;) - I'd actually like to hear Darius sing this with more accompanyment/production and with the added benefit of the restored confidence that came back to him a bit later in the competition and then I think I'd know for sure where it belongs on my list. Make it Easy on Yourself - I really like this song for it's own sake. Plus, as I've said before, I have the whole emotional baggage attachment, of it so obviously being Darius's final PopIdol performance ... "if this is goodbye" :cry: - so, in that sense I love it. When I focus purely on Darius's vocals and whether I think this song actually suits Darius to sing, I feel that it's sometimes pitched too low for Darius to sing comfortably, he seems to struggle to enunciate a couple of words properly on some of the lowest notes and seems like he's having to project to get his voice down there to me, so at times it just doesn't feel natural. I like it more especially towards the end of the song, as the pitch raises a bit, then it feels more comfortable to me. I really love how he sings the part from "If this is goodbye" onwards :wub: - but overall, for me, there just isn't the scope in this song for Darius's full vocal range to have it's freedom to roam :) Whole Again - Not exciting, a nice tender arrangement though and nicely sung :) - love the hmmmmm at the end :D .... potentially better than Make it Easy for Darius to sing I think, but I love the Make it Easy music ... and overall I think I just like that actual song better - it has more power and more about it, but I could easily swap these two around from day to day as the mood takes me.

I didn't get silence unless it was on that particular song - it seems to vary to me which one plays on launching the page. I think it's odd that it has been removed, because none of the songs have played straight away when they've initially been added have they? .... usually a moan to MySpace does the trick - but they won't be able to fix it now it's gone though :(

This particular poll just passed me by, so I didn't vote in it - Julie sums up my sentiment generally: Ditto :) I've just been to look at the thread in the PopForum and I remember voting in a reality tv star rate thing ages ago, so it was probably this one - but I don't remember seeing that write up then though, I think that's what made me think it was a different thing.

Oh yes, I've seen Aria filming at several events I've been to in the past too and I remember now that Darius mentioned keeping in touch with his family via webcam and so on whilst he had to be away when his Dad was ill too. I just thought this video diary was a new thing that had been mentioned somewhere though and got excited at the prospect :D Thinking about it, in the past there have been various video footage things put on the official website and linked to via special mini sites, so maybe some more things like that will come along again in the future - it would be nice :) I'd like to see some more photos uploaded to his myspace site too - some of him in his new recording studio would groove my truffles :D

I've just looked back throught this thread and seen this possible 27th date for the special show being was being discussed on Thursday night and I'm totally confused now :wacko: As I've posted on .net - last Thursday night, I asked Leigh if we could have a deadline for submitting the Top 10's and he said to me that Bernadette had suggested a date for the actual event to possibly be in 2 weeks time and that he needed time to prepare, so would want the Top 10 lists in a week beforehand. He also said that he would prefer to do it on a Friday, so that all transpired to me to mean deadline for the Top 10's = 28th/29th September, actual show on the 6th October. I think some clarification is needed :)

It was on in Manchester on the 15th of September - I couldn't get there and so didn't see it :( It's showing in Cambridge tomorrow night I think. I've got a full list in an excel document, but I can't copy paste it I don't think? Where abouts are you? edit: Can't even do you a proper link to where to download the document as it's a flash site and the url of the page doesn't show up/change, but if you go to THE MAIN WEBSITE - on the right hand side there's a link for 'See the film' - click on that and then there's a link on the next page saying find a theatre near you - that will give you the file link to download. I think he's right too - I think we've been made monkies out of as usual, so I've an idea that there's probably not anything in the film that I haven't made myself aware of recently too - but I'd still like to see it though - I'll have to check if it's still on anywhere I could get to.

Ethanol is alcohol - why? I heard something about Richard Branson planing to donate his profits from his flights? to help stop Global Warming, but since airoplanes contribute significantly to it in the first place, it just made me laugh really :rolleyes: - but still I suppose it means he might be repairing some of the damage he does :P

I don't think Darius meant he wasn't aware of it at all - in fact I'm sure he didn't, I think he was probably meaning that he'd recently become aware of how there have been forces at work that have led people to doubt how significant global warming is and that prior to seeing the film and reading around the subject he didn't realise that himself.

On 19's website *Darius comes under Associated Companies in the Brilliant 19 section - Ambush & Native are the two other associated companies with links along the top of the page, so maybe that's what you saw? *I wish they would update it though.
