Great presenter. His daughter Sally still occasionally presents news and politics on BBC Scotland. I believe they are from Iceland. https://mobile.twitter.com/ilovewemusicals/...90786817/photo/ Nice try!
  2. Elvis to Darius in 6 degrees http://m.whosdatedwho.com/six-degrees/40353800 I found another one which dated from Darius's marriage in 2011. Strangely enough that one linked him to a famous actor 2 years before the media would be linking the two names for real.

I think what he "meant to say" (little Darius lyric quote there!) is, it's sad the Michael Mayer production which broke records at the Menier, Savoy and on tour with standing ovations every night, had to end, polly. Fortunately we know it will live on because it's been filmed. BTW Chris Peluso is back in the West End........Woman In White.

There is only one Darius song which I dislike and never play - I Would Die For You. Still. I know some fans who really like it. It would be a very dull world if we all loved and disliked the same things.

Sorry, never ever felt like dancing to that track but then I can still hear that strange radio version with some kind of off sync production effect, said to have been used by Marc Bolan. Trust me you're lucky it's the album version that's running through your head.

On the contrary, Funny Girl can't ever be unfunny because it documents the rise and rise of a comedy superstar of her day.

Retro forum so far, so good. I think Darius and Will fans ' input have helped to get retro 6 on the main forums list. I can understand why the move was the right time for us, with Darius working behind the scenes in the US for an indeterminable period. So far no one has been unpleasant which is a relief after the last couple of weeks. Our community is intact and we have our archives. I'm not sure this thread is serving its purpose yet.

I can't read the article other than the quote you refer to because Times articles are behind a pay wall. Are there any examples of specific people from Greenwell refusing help because they had that impression? I don''t read papers nowadays because the standard of journalism is so poor. Articles now tend to contain biased opinion masquerading as impartiality. They also seem more and more to be cobbled out of news feed, quotes from other journalists' pieces and social media. It's the age of puffed out opinionated sound bites, often taken out of context, and lurid (sub) headlines. Sometimes the broadsheets can still do research and produce a series of In-depth articles but it's so very rare. They know what good journalism is but won't spend the money. If they did, maybe more people would buy a daily paper.

True, I haven't answered the music question yet. I suppose I aught to start at the beginning. I was surrounded by music from an early age.. My father had his own dance band before he married. He played piano, violin and banjo. He had quite a repertoire. He could play by ear too. If you could hum it, he could play it. He had a massive collection of sheet music and the family sing song would range through many genres. My gran's speciality which she'd sing while she was pottering around alone was gospel music. My guess is that I just accepted that music was music and could appreciate any genre.
  10. Don't get me wrong, any song I choose from any Now with a Darius song will always be a country mile behind as far as I'm concerned.
  11. If you green buttoned forums, they were the only ones featured under artists forum on the Buzzjack forums homepage, when you were logged in.
  12. Well, obviously it goes without saying that Darius was/and always will be my favourite. Ignoring that, I voted for DJ Sammy feat Yanou & Do - Heaven and Vanessa Carlton - A Thousand Miles because the feelings I had when I first heard them have stuck with me all this time.

So you're a gamer. What was the first computer game you ever had? I have to confess I am absolutely rubbish when it comes to playing even the simplest games.
  14. I've only ever had one green button in the artists' list and tended to read interesting AF topics by accessing them via the active topics today list. I have all red buttons now and I'm only reading/posting in general forums. Anyway, despite work, I hope Darius is fitting in some r&r after working so hard on the Funny Girl Tour.

I'll let her answer you. Are you really a snake in real life or are you just pretending to be one on Bj because you're actually one of those alien lizard thingies?

Not artists now. That is a list of individual forums like we had for Darius. We' ve only got 5 threads which are active in the RETRO FORUM.... This one supposedly for Darius news, so it can be kept together. The old Bits and Pieces 7 thread which we're still using for Darius related comment, small mentions in the media and rumours. A photo thread. The Funny Girl Show and gigs thread left open for comments when it's due on Sky Arts, arranging meet ups etc if it's shown in cinemas, reviews and such like. Darius Lounge, a place for general non-Darius chat where all are welcome and other Buzzjackers can find that Darius fans are not that different from other artists fans. The other important threads are not lost. Spamfritter carefully gathered them up the ones we wanted to keep and there are links to them all on the first post of this thread.

As I said, I don't have a favourite type of music. However as I've been taking a look at the Now threads, I found that many of the tracks I remembered and which I could have happily chosen as the best on that volume were dance tracks.
  18. Yes, you can. It's good that smaller parties get better representation but you end up with major parties' numpties who have trailled in 3rd or 4th in a constituency seat getting list seats.

No one has answered you so I will. I just come through my browser (Google Chrome). I typed in Buzzjack retro. The link comes up at the top of the list and I just click on it.
  20. Wow, I didn't realise I'd watched so many sitcoms. Hope you can find time to finish your top 50. I'd be surprised if Two's Company is on your list. However that one sticks in my mind. Starred Elaine Stritch and Donald Sinden, the master of deadpan. Two great actors. He the archetypal English gentleman and her the over exuberant American, echoes of Lucy, but not as zany, and of Phyllis too.

Eclectic. I don't have a fixed genre. Darius is the only constant. You asked us on the AF "Why Darius?" and since then, I've been trying to work out if there were any clues in the music I listened to PD (Pre Darius) I know that it was/is his voice which is paramount. The appreciation of the man and his range of talents came later. This was the germ of an idea I had for the retro forum - the topic I didn't post. Oops, that's 3 quid I owe the naughty box now!
  22. He's the lead actor. No idea if Orlando is interested in the technical behind scenes aspects of his job. Darius always was, right from the beginning.
  23. That must have been so frustrating for you.
  24. Not directing. Mike Figgis is the director. Darius is a producer. Darius said it was due to start filming in September. Orlando Bloom was in LA a couple of days ago. He was papped with Katy Perry and on Labor day with his son at the carnival .
  25. That''s just how it is. The whole cast other than Sheridan, Natasha and Darius changed between the West End run at the Savoy and the UK tour. It's extremely rare for tours to go out with both their West End leads. The West End cast feature on the CD. The Tour cast will be on the Sky Arts film, which will most probably be released later on DVD /Bluray.. I think after 2 years both Sheridan and Darius will be planning other projects, unless of course Sheridan gets a chance to take it to Broadway.
