  1. Heat is still the horrible mag it became after Mark Frith left. That is a particularly nasty picture of Kitty and they've put their own spin on it saying she's stressed - how do they know? I'm glad some of the comments pulled them up about it. It's irrelevant what they write about Darius, even more when they drag his name into articles about reality TV shows he was never involved with. He's proved himself as a versatile singer, a stage performer and now he's even landed one of the very few pilot acting leads given to unknown actors, in a drama in the US. They're the ones who look out of touch with their supposed expert subject - entertainment.

  3. http://www.heatworld.com/Celeb-News/2012/0...X-Factor-hotel/ Not sure what to make of the Darius references here. Lukewarm? You'd think they'd know by now that he sang HMBOMT in Popstars, since they kindly linked to it when GWTW folded and they were careful to add it to their news including their statement that he didn't exactly get rave reviews. I think our thread rather shows he did!

The quip about Shiro Samurai warrior came back to me last night and I started googling. Apparently there is an ancient Japanese legend based on a historical figure, which has been tapped for a couple of video games so far. I wonder if the writer of Beauty and the Beast is trying to tie in East/West legends.

Now that there are more performed (if not yet recorded) Darius songs, it might be fun to revive this thread. 'rules' are simple. All words must come from songs on Darius's albums or from his other original song lyrics and any word must make a connection with the one in the previous post, and its song source given. I thought I'd already posted this but it seems not to be showing http://www.huffingtonpost.com/garrett-gree..._b_1381224.html Strong script -dash of Game of Thrones - sounds good to me. I'm really curious to see what kind of otherworldly creature Darius becomes.
  7. Have the UK government responded to the SNP's ideas for a fairer system of fuel regulation? They said something like when the oil prices are high and the government are creaming in more taxes than usual from the oil industry, fuel prices at the pumps should be reduced accordingly and the reverse should be true, that when taxes fell too low, the motorist should be asked to pay a few pence more for petrol.

Pilot parts scarce for newbies: YOU NEED EXPERIENCE TO GET EXPERIENCE TV casting shows need to work way up the food chain http://www.sagactoronline.com/2012/02/catc...new-talent.html Just as well Darius didn't get the memo/read the article. He might have been put off applying for a lead and settled for a role at the bottom of the food chain.
  9. Natasha wasn't in the last couple of episodes of SC which I saw. I like it. It's held my attention, although it is somewhat light and obviously aimed at teens and twenties, like a watered down Charmed or Buffy. I hope they get some time together in Vancouver. I wonder where the boys are. Do schools in California get an Easter recess like those here? Ours stop on Friday.

It starts over here on Channel 5 this Sunday at 8pm. The first reports saying a casting director had been appointed for BatB came on 30th January. Chris Egan was first to be cast (Feb 22nd) then Darius a couple of days later.
  11. So have they started filming the second series of SC?

I'm surprised to find out that ABC decided to develop Beauty and the Beast way back in September before Once Upon A Time had become a break out hit for them. I'm going to record OUAT although I'm not sure I'll like the switching between the dimensions. I don't normally like shows which have a series of flashbacks. I don't usually mind films/shows which start at one point, flash back, tell a story, and then return to the present.
  16. Manchester leg of tour was 25th February - virtually exactly when Darius was told he'd been cast as the beast. He perhaps thought he had a week or so's breathing space and hadn't realised they'd send him for fightology pre-pre-production.
  17. It's shaping up like the last series. To pot with innovation or creativity, go for the obvious, produce it shoddily, price it ridiculously highly and fleece the public and you win. If that's how it's going to be again, I won't be watching.

No he wouldn't have 3 months because he can't sign a contract for Chicago before he knows the execs' decision re BatB and the decision is only taken in May. Once greenlit, a shooting schedule would be drawn up. If it isn't, we're looking at June/July at the earliest for Chicago and then the push for the single/album( September/October maybe), provided another great offer doesn't come out of nowhere.

Found this. Fills in some more info about the creative cast and the exact location and again gives the schedule from 18th march to 5th April. http://www.ubcp.com/wp-content/uploads/March-16-2012.pdf
  20. It's tough being a renaissance man!
  21. I hope Darius can grab a couple of weeks in the UK to see family and friends and maybe crack on with the album with Stuart in London, before he's tied down to more filming in Vancouver or his promised appearances as Billy in New York. I think this year is the 15th anniversary of Chicago in the West End. I wonder if they'll do something like they did for the 10th and whether Darius will be involved again.
  22. If the first schedule was right and assuming he wouldn't need to be available during post production, Darius could probably get back and catch one of the X factor tour shows, even if he was involved in scenes being filmed right up to the end on 5th April.

Very tall Poppy - They'd to cut off the top of his head in some scenes and Nigel Harman looked like a hobbit in parts of HB. How are they going to get all of him on screen as the Beast with Ruth who's just 5ft 6? Will he have to stand further back or sit down?

I had added something then cut it or so i thought. My mouse has been acting up of late. I'll edit it. FRom wiki :- Tall poppy syndrome (TPS) is a pejorative term primarily used in the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other Anglosphere nations to describe a social phenomenon in which people of genuine merit are resented, attacked, cut down, or criticised because their talents or achievements elevate them above or distinguish them from their peers.
