Nasty slimeball. I think that's about as low as he could take Gennaro in a light hearted show like HB. I'd like to see him tackle a real "mess with your head" villain sometime in the future.

They may have the same title but they're going to be very different shows. The CW one appears to be basically a cop show very loosely based on Beauty and the Beast. The original show was very well loved, especially Ron Perlman's Vincent. It's always a tough one for an actor to take on a 'ghost' like Darius had to in GWTW. However it seems likely Jay Ryan's appearance will be very different from Ron's. In this updated one Vincent has become a beast because of some scientific experiment which went awry.

According to www.cyberpresse.ca, the director of BatB, Yves Simoneau confirmed by e-mail that F Murray Abraham will be Cyril, the Chancellor.

Edit - 3500 Cornett Road is the main address of Vancouver Film Studios. http://www.vancouverfilmstudios.com/studios/studios.htm It's a very big complex. Tracking Darius down would be virtually impossible. Of course it's possible to eliminate certain buildings as info on other projects comes to light BUT the plot calls for the princess to meet the beast in a swamp and that could mean an external location like the forest used by Once Upon A Time.

Alan Dale is a very well known face. He was Jim Robinson in Neighbours for many years. Good omen. Alan has been a guest or had a recurring role in most of the successful US series. He tends to play Kings or other powerful men. He's King George in Once Upon A Time. I'm not sure if Darius knows him personally but I do know Alan was King Arthur in Spamalot when Darius was Rhett Butler in GWTW and I remember Natasha and Darius went to Spamalot. Darius presented one of the Oliviers that year. They may have met then. Although their characters were once close and now estranged, even enemies, I think Darius and Alan may get on really well. Alan's from new Zealand and he was once a rugby player and they've both worked with America Ferrera. Alan was Bradford Meade, the media tycoon, in Ugly Betty.

The picture doesn't really do him justice. Few do. I must trawl through the photo thread here to see if I can find that shot of the mane standing almost vertically mid song. Talking about Lincoln, every time Darius embarks on a new project, I think of Helen. Such a terrible loss and so young.

Even in Once Upon A Time mode, one blessed fact is that he can't do this in a lounge suit with his hair slicked back!

I think it would be better grittier, 'more like Game of Thrones than Disney' and if it's planned to go out after the watershed surely that would be alright even on a network? The former would give Darius more of a challenge and boy, does that man love challenges.
