maybe there should be chart rule that limits 5 compilations and then out. maybe they should record new songs
  8. Having polish friends and they have told me that there are racial tendancies in Poland against black people and Germans, and oddly Russians too, but if they didnt like us they wouldnt come to the UK would they. I think the show should be split up into three shows Eurovision (The original European entries) Eurovision (Eastern bloc) Eurovision (Other areas around the world) maybe a 4th including the winning top 5's from the shows above

  13. well i did try to explain to deaf ears after that i had got some things a bit wrong. ill repeat what i said afterwards (although i have been under stress as my other half is unwell) I hold copyright of the book and the type of book it is and its layout information, but the rest is of course held by the BBC i am sorry that it upset a few people at the time, i wasnt well at the time either, and i did get muddled and got my facts a bit wrong and again im sorry when i began to work on the book in the mid 90's the whole "work" was not in the public domain ie Internet, and i believe since the book was published the BBC has pulled the databases offline because the book was out. what i should have said at the time was to carry on with your listings but to be careful as it falls within the BBC's copyright. sorry

  15. i never claimed that I owned it it or had copyright and i never took the info from any website i worked on the info for a decade to get the book published
  16. end of subject
  17. yes. a copy of the book is held in the bbc archive. so TOTP2 should get their facts right now !!! the book was being produced before any listing was even thought of being put online... it was just unfortunate that my co-author died during the production, hense the delay, it was due in 2004.
  18. it wasn't public domain when i began the book.
  19. Mark's busy reading the book unfortunately
  20. this is a very difficult area. what im now gonna do is sit back and see what happens. Im not gonna say any more on the matter. :)
  21. and the sad thing is, you REALLY don't know me. and the hard work i have put in.
  22. i have been an asset, ive got an official book published. this has been 15 years of my life's hard work to get this done. picture books, and the like were never enough. i havent just jumped on any bandwagon, i have been working with Kaleidoscope and the BBC for eight years. For a fan of the show to bring out a book on this specialised subject, is a big thing it isnt just for me, it's for all the fans..... it is what everyone has wanted. and the beeb love it.
  23. then may i suggest you e mail http://www.kaleidoscopepublishing.co.uk/books.html who would be happy to answer your questions
  24. "totp playlists arnt anyones property as they were broadcast into the general population." ever heard of copyright, it s all published officially now, through the beeb hate to tell you this, ask the Beeb, who have a copy of the book and applaud it, ask mark ~ I "actually" started the On this day in the first place. ME !!!!, I passed it over to him. he did it 2 years in fact (handed to him from ME) it was done as a favour when the online database wasnt working properly or was incomplete, until the book wa published. scan down to the bottom of the TOTP database and tell me what it says.
