  1. Maybe there are legal reasons for Delta not releasing anything in the UK. Think about it logically, her last single hit number 3. Why wouldn't SonyBMG want to put out more singles. The Brian excuse is getting old now and I'm thinking conspiracy. I reckon the guy we should be blaming is Gary Barlow. Sony so was desperate to release Throw it Away[ a Gary Barlow composition] as a single they tried twice. Later A LittleToo Late[ another Gary Barlow co-write] was touted as a UK single and where did Delta turn up last week.....The same hotel in Wales as the Take That members. There is definately something fishy here.
  2. DELETED POST: TOO SARCASTIC

What's happened to the official forum??? I tried to get on it last night [Australian time] and this morning and a thing popped up saying 'too many users, please refresh' I refreshed but nothing happened. The whole scenerio was different with the hacker at least you got an explaination and a time to try again. What's going on??????
  6. The only HQ one I've seen anywhere was on Brian's site and it was a back view. Most of the forum pix were either scan from mags, watermarked or tiny.
  7. Dion, Sonny Liston, Jayne Mansfield, Marlon Brando, Lenny Bruce. I'm so tempted to look at the cover!!!!!

Probably old news but here's a couple more newish songs: PRAY FOR US Written by D. Goodrem and B. MacFadden. THANK YOU MY HERO Written by D. Goodrem and V. Pizzinga.
  13. The Angela Via version was actually released years before Delta's. It was such a flop Atlantic pulled her album. The last I heard she been dropped by her label for refusing to lose weight for a video[a duet with a boy band member]
  14. I'll buy it 'cause I've got everything else. But 'Tilt' was pretty much unlistenable.

I  Serge. At first I just liked his early pop stuff, 'Ford Mustang' 'Bonnie& Clyde' etc, then I got into his jazzier earlier stuff. The material he wrote for other artists, France Gall, Brigitte Bardot etc is amazing- pop at it's best. ' Historie de Melody Nelson' is one of the greatest albums ever, but that's only the tip of the iceberg. Check out Jane Birkin's 'Doh Dah Dah' album, Bambou's 'Made in China' or France Gall's '1968' [surely the main influence on Kylie's 'Impossible Princess']. They all rock. And Serge was funny too. check him out with Whitney Houston on 'You Tube'. One of the greats.

The Pet Shop Boys covered it on a b-side [i Don't know what you want but I can't give it any more]. Australian porn actress Abigail recorded an unlistenable version which charted down under.Kylie did a mash-up version with 'Breathe' from 'Impossible Princess' it's on her 'money can't buy DVD.
  17. Ther's a French version of 'Up Je' taime' called 'Ca' byBourvil & Jacqueline Maillan. He was a caberet singer in his 80's and she was a bimbo. It's funnier than the original and the flip side is another Gainsbourg song 'Pauvre Lola' with all this insane laughing throughout the whole song. CLASSIC!!!! Also try 'Disco Je'Taime' by Donna Summer it's on the 'Thank God It's Friday soundtrack and takes up all of side six

Je'taime is retitled ' I love you[me neither] and it's by Catpower & Karen Elson. Check out the version by Nick Cave and Anita Lane retitled 'I love You[Nor do I] it's on Mick Harvey's Gainsbourg tribute ' Pink Elephants' and there's a different version on the flip of Anita's 'The World is a Girl'.

I've got a single by Gordon Kaye and Vicki Michelle [Rene and Yvette] called Je'taime [allo allo]. It's a cover of the Serge Gainsbourg song and it's EVEN WORSE than Frankie Howards version. Every sit-com duo must have covered this track. <_<
  20. Try collecting French singer Mylene Farmer. Six studio albums in twenty two years, six years between the last two and none released outside France. Her forums are total bitch sessions.
  21. Are you really Jessica's Jewels or someone pretending to be her????????
  22. I've got his single 'Up Je'taime' it's a terrible cover of the Serge Gainsbourg track but with June Whitfield replacing Jane Birkin. TRAGIC!!!!
  23. Green was on Kylie's Body Language they do a duet on 'Somedays' it's awesome the voices really blend together well. 'I Could Be Happy' 12" version by Altered Images was a huge hit in Australia. Top 5 for WEEKS!
  24. Mostly it's thread after thread of the same topic, maybe with one word altered from the thread above it. Yesterday at least the moderators stopped the separate 'Delta OFFICIALLY engaged' threads. So they're possibley getting better. Plus there's one forumer, whose user name I won't mention, who goes through every thread in every section and writes 'Thx' and THAT counts as a post!!!!
  25. Altered Images were a great band. Their third album 'Bite' is a classic. Produced by Tony Visconti and Mike Chapman it's the best alum Bowie and Blondie never made!!! The singles were 'Don't talk to me about love', 'Love to stay','Change of heart' and 'Bring me closer' all chart-making classics. Lead singer Clare Grogan went on to star in the classic 'Father Ted' episode where she plays a Sinead O'Connor type diva.
