    Garbage has one of the best B-sides released on singles.. sometimes they are times better than some album tracks. It is definitely worthit to have them all... even the obscure ones :)

     

    I love all of those you've listed. Even Alien Sex Fiend... it's just shows how diverse Garbage's sound :)

    Butterfly collector is a perfect cover. Really different from the original.. .very dark and twisted.. I love it.

    Same goes for 13xforver and Trip My Wire.. I love the lyrics on both of this songs :)

     

    If you're intereseted to hear more Garbage b-sides I would recommend the following:

     

    Never Be Free (it's simply orgasmic)

    Space Can Come Through Anyone

    Deadwood (one of fans' favourite)

    Sleep (dunno if you're into such slow and melancholic music but I love it)

    #1 Crush (Some people count it as a B-side)

    Lick The Pavement (B-side from Version 2.0 which is really good)

    I was hooked up the moment I heard/watched Only Happy When It Rains on tv... it was looong time ago but I remember the moment quite vividly. I was watching MTV (yes.. back in the day I used to watch MTV :) ). They had this short show '3 from 1' and they played 'Vow', 'Queer' and 'Only Happy When It Rains'. OHWIR was the one that caught my ear :) I loved the whole vide of the song and together with the video it was just a perfect match. Of course, Shirley made me a huge impression. She was so fierce and provocatve it was just impossible not to notice her.

     

    For some reason I didn't buy an album or single (probably because I was just 12/13 years old and I didn't have the money to do so). Then 'Push it' came out and I heard it on the radio. I had no idea that it was a Garbage song but I was amazed by the sound of it. Then I saw the video on the TV and was blown away by it (it's still my favourite musis video of all time). I realised that the song was by the same band who had released Only Happy When It Rains and Stupid Girl. I immediately decided to by the album and so I did... It is all one big obsession since then :)

     

    Garbage as a whole has intoduced me to a whole different music genres comapred to the one I used to listen to (I used to listen to teeny bopper c**p before them). They have formed my taste in music so to say. And that is why they will always be a very special band for me.
