Call My Name, Wish You Were Here and Home Movies are some good recent-ish Lukas Graham tracks. It had seemed they'd given up on the UK though.
  2. I'm not denying that it's popular, but 600,000 is clearly now way too low threshold for platinum if songs that have never made the top 40 can go triple platinum. I don't get why they haven't changed it when they have done in the past when the market has changed. Also what Jim said.
  3. LOL Why the hell aren't OCC doing something to stop this madness
  4. Cappella x Luv Foundation UK x Ruff Loaderz - Stay Mine single out June 20
  5. No, they were called pocket CDs
  6. I don't know when, but I suspect the reason for it would've been that non-standard packaging made it more difficult for retailers to rack.

Whilst it does seem illogical not to be playing certain tracks, I expect it's because they test every record they play with a panel, to ensure that their target audience likes it and wouldn't change channel if it came on. If it doesn't hit a certain percentage, it doesn't get playlisted. That's probably why stuff can get added really late. At some point the panel has had a chance to get know the song or artist from elsewhere, and it finally gets the magic number to get on.
  8. It's LESS ORDINARY than it too then.
  9. No, I think it's rather lovely. Probably didn't deserve to be #1 but I still listen to it from time to time. It's better than the Alex Warren song.

  12. I'd take any of Westlife's #1s over anything by Alex Warren
  13. The current one
  14. All this makes me thankful for my iTunes library. But at the same time, I don't understand why people get so worked up about particular missing songs, when surely all you need to do is make a little bit of effort track down an MP3 or CD and add it as a local file? Apart from meaning you have to find space for the file on your phone (which you don't even need to do with Apple Music at least), or not being able to share it on a public playlist, I don't really get the big fuss. Someone explain what I'm missing?
  15. New KEiiNO single Unstoppable out May 9
  16. New Lauren Spencer-Smith MY SOPHOMORE ALBUM “THE ART OF BEING A MESS” IS YOURS JUNE 27TH❤️💙💜💚 & MY NEXT SINGLE “IF KARMA DOESNT GET YOU (I WILL)“ IS OUT THIS FRIDAY‼️‼️‼️
  17. Yeah it's quite clunky and buggy for searching for old charts. And ugly.
  18. Daughtry - The Day I Die (single) Apr 25
  19. I said it was a contributing factor.
  20. I disagree that it was pointless. Yes, surefire hits more often than not find their way up the chart, and of course streaming has changed the market completely. There's absolutely no going back now. But holding back singles gave the opportunity to many more singles, especially by new artists, to make the charts. There was a dramatic decline in the number of singles making the top 40 when OAOS came in. The only good thing about it is that a single isn't necessarily completely written off if it fails to chart in week 1 - but the tradeoff is that it's one of the contributing factors to the chart being as slow as it is.
  21. In fact, at the time, anything below 75 was not considered canon, at least by Music Week. The positions 76-100 from the compressed top 200 that are on the OCC website now weren't even published at the time.
  22. Whigfield counts though because she didn't make top 75 with that import version.
  23. I always say forever is a long time. It'll continue to be rare but sure, someone will do it again one day.
  24. Ed's trick with the physicals is that it has an exclusive B-side so that might tempt people. Officially out on the 30th for now. Also I've been seeing the snippet popping up on TikTok a lot the last couple of weeks. I feel like I already know it and am only about to press play on the full version. There is a remix coming out in a couple weeks too, sounds like it might be featuring Arash.
  25. Azizam confirmed for April 4 with a CD/vinyl release too
