Is Space Man going to be back at #1 within hours? He's just released the Jubilee version.

Could Sam Ryder be in with another shot at #1 after tonight? He was incredible!

Sam Ryder is releasing a "Jubilee" signed special of his CD single this week.

I don't think that matters. It's to put two fingers up to the monarchy in Jubilee week, like the Sex Pistols did in 1977. Plenty of deranged people will relish the chance to do that, just like when people downloaded Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead.

WDYG is still a bop and I'd happily see it remain in the top 20 all summer!

Probably yes, but I guess it's just an oversight

My guess is that they decided to combine them when the 2 versions were re-released together as a CD and digital single in 2006. At that point you needed to have a CD single available in order to chart. So they would've been forced at that point to make a decision whether to either allow individual downloads of the '98 version to count towards the one combined chart position, or discounted.

I think it's right to list these as separate #1s because historically it was a singles chart - and these are separate, re-issued singles.

If a song isn't mentioned one day and you'd expect it to be, does it probably mean it's the same position as yesterday? ;)

I know it's meaningless but Sam Ryder is #1 on Big Top 40, and was nice to hear it announced as such! :D

DAMN

Yesss George! This really deserves to smash. Soo catchy

This Benson tune is niiiice

Come on Sam! Nice to see Tom sneak into the 40 even if it's not his best.

I know he's doing very well on iTunes but surely the sales are sooo low now?

Cat Burns is an idiot.

Update from OUR SAM  @1527300792692383744

It's not bubblegum but it does feel a bit like he's trying too hard to get a radio hit, rather than just doing him. And it's so bland compared to Little Bit Of Love which was excellent.

Unless you want to include Verka's Dancing Lasha Tumbai which I think had a small amount of Ukrainian in it

Wow, Sam is now going to perform at the Jubilee!! I'm so happy for him

What a nailbiter!

Really hope there's not missing data

Oh damn haha

Oh my Gooodd tomorrow's chart show is gonna be so exciting! Come on Sam!
