Have I missed something, why has this song suddenly had a surge in popularity? Was it played on a TV show or something? Is it the original version or the dance version that came out last May?

Someone over at the Kylie.com forum picked up a copy of the 2006 compilation MC Master Cuts - Funky House Which came out on the Freemason's label and noticed this - http://www.amazon.com/Mastercuts-Funky-Hou...5779&sr=8-1 Now I suggest you check out track "I'm The One" by Laid featuring Emma, it is the same track as Kylie's version of "The One". There is a suspicion that Emma is actually Kylie incognito - ''The One'' was co-written by someone named Emma Holmgren, who is non-existant on the web, apart from a few writing credits while Laid dont have a myspace page, or official site either, while an MP3 of the song posted and pitched up to 'prove' that it's Kylie was removed from the Kylie forum. The backing is almost the same too...its a bit more orchestral at the beginning, but has the same Guitar theme, drum beat and all going through it.

Woolies, like HMV only stock "their" chart. Up until recently, it was more or less guaranteed if Woolie's didn't stock your single then bye bye any chance of a Top 30 chart position. I think it's terrible really, I didn't think it's a fair chance for any artist - who is a shop like Woolworths (which isn't even a proper record store) to by default dictate who will have a hit? Think about it this way - in many towns Woolworth's IS the only record store and only hardcore fans will travel to the next town or nearest city to pick up a single release. The download thing is obviously affecting the impact Woolie's chart has on the proper UK singles chart, but the store still affects the albums chart - have off the back catalogue dreck that fills up the chart is 'coz Woolie's is over concerned with cheap compilation promos.

I know that Garbage (and "Shut Your Mouth") has the distinction of having the first ever single to appear in the Top 20 one week (October 2002) and not be in the Top 75 the next, it was a limited edition of 15,000 copies - but sold enough the following two weeks to make the top 80. Now The Pogues will overtake that achievement by having the first song to appear in the UK top 10 and not be in the Top 100 the following week. Due to the new chart rules, I guess only seasonal singles will have this kind of drop off in the future, unless a record company deletes the song from online stores.

Manson has collaborated with a number of people on the project including fellow Scottish songwriter Paul Buchanan, US rock musicians Jack White, Billy Corgan, Beck and James Bond soundtrack composer David Arnold. Garbage drummer and former Nirvana/Smashing Pumpkins producer Butch Vig is also co-writing and producing for her album. "Slow" only sold 30 odd thousand copies in it first week, and I'd imagine 2 Hearts will pull in the same. Bleeding Love is really huge competition and I don't think Kylie can topple that. I don't think the Spice Girls will either.

Some reliable sources have claimed that whilst "Boombox" contains snippets of lyrics included in "Speakerphone" it ISN'T the same song. "Boombox" was recorded in 2003 and was co-written by Kylie whereas "Speakerphone" is not a Kylie cowrite. Anyone noticed Steve Anderson hasn't a single track on the album - wonder what happened there. I wouldn't get too worked up about White Diamond, it'll more than not likely end up on the documentary anyway. Or it'll leak conveniently next week lol. Who knows if Kylie will have any B-sides this time round? Everyone seems to be doing bonus tracks on albums now and iTunes exclusives. Kinda annoys me somewhat coz I love B-sides, I think they can show off an artists true ability better than album standard tracks. As Kylie and a number of other artists have proven, there are a million gems just hidden away on the flipside of singles - Paper Dolls, Nothing Can Stop Us, City Games, BPM, Tightrope..... Better than backing up your B-sides with your most recent Radio One Live Lounge cover (Lily Allen and Nelly Furtado take note)

OH MY GOD how good is Spell of Desire? I was slightly wary of a six minute song at first but it just keeps building and building and oooo it's like honey and melted chocolate!

Chocolate (Alternative Single Mix) Unreleased mix including alternative intro and editing leaked online in 2004. Does anyone have this? I have an edited single remix of Chocolate from the NOW CD where it goes from the middle8 straight to the coda, with no final chorus - are these two versions the same mix? Seeing as this list is from wikipedia I'd take it with a pinch of salt, especially the "informed" information for the Kylie X EMF & WTCA argument. I'm gonna sit down some day and source every one of these songs on Kylie sites, news forums, and ASCAP and delete the rest until a source can be found, there's new song titles getting added to this list almost every day and I think most of it is made up.
