I'm still wondering who came up with the idea of restricting the Eurovision Song Contest, which is about different countries, cultures and languages, to the USA as the so-called American Song Contest. Everything that defines Eurovision is gone. A contest called American Song Contest should include countries from Canada to Argentina, but I suppose even that concept wouldn't have worked as the Spanish language would have been too heavily represented.

I was really worried Nico Suave would win with a song that sounded like Wind, so I'm relieved, even if I don't particularly like Rockstars. A disadvantage is that Malik's father Ricky (former daily talk show host) will certainly try to get attention in the German media for the next few months and I don't need that.

By the way, is Home and Away safe? Does Home and Away also depend on British money or is the soap produced solely by the Australians? It would be a shame if two Aussie soaps had to disappear just because the Brits lost interest in them.

That's sad, but if it really is the ending there will hopefully be enough time to write a big ending with lots of visits from former neighbours. It's been a long time since I've watched Neighbours every day. Every now and then I give it a chance, but after a few days, sometimes even months, I get tired of it. The last time I watched for months was the 35th anniversary event. After that I got bored again.

Kylie was on Germany's Next Topmodel last night. She said she has been in the business for more than 30 years. I think if 35 years was an important milestone to celebrate, she would have announced it.

I'm surprised that Kylie's Light Years era in Germany was so uneventful. Spinning Around reached no 62 and On A Night Like This no 72. Kids only reached no 47, while Robbie's previous single Rock DJ reached no 9 and his successor, Supreme, reached no 14. Kylie performed Your Disco Needs You on Germany's biggest tv show with more than 12 million viewers, YDNY still only peaked at no 31. Light Years (which had previously charted for 5 weeks, peaking at no 35) returned for another 8 weeks, but didn't climb back into top 50. At the time I thought Germany was just not a Kylie country, but then came Can’t Get You Out Of My Head: it went to number 1, and Fever also made it to the top.

I thought France would win, but Armenia is good too. Portugal 3rd place in public votes, but only nine points from the juries, that's bitter. I liked the show pretty much this year, more than usual.

Fever White Vinyl charted at no 74 in Germany this week. Not great, but at least one place higher than Westlife's "Wild Dreams" at no 75.

This era is not my favorite Saint Etienne era. There is not a single song I really love.

Is "I Bet You Think About Me" an official single? Isn't it already on country radio?

In Germany Voyage sold more than 200.000 units, that's more than the rest of the top 100 combined.

Is it an official single or a grat? Today's release schedule lists it as a grat, maybe it's a future single like Steps have done with two grats that turned into singles later.

Thanks for letting me know! I'm glad they didn't release IWWO. It might not only missed top 10, but also top 20. Maybe a great music video or another mash-up would have helped back then, but the single version alone is too weak and would have hurt Dannii's comeback chart run.

Was "Creep" supposed to be the final single from "Neon Nights"? It's the only album track on the deluxe edition that's remixed, so I assume the original plan was to release "Creep" as follow-up to "Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling", but then the chance called "You Won't Forget About Me" came along and "Creep" was dropped. Right or completely wrong?
