  1. I agree, it's gonna happen sooner this time. If Taylor wanted to take a break and release a new album in 2020 or later, they would have released another Reputation US single after "Delicate", maybe a second one, too.
  2. Based on the hype by some fans for over a year I thought this song would be much bigger right now. When the album came out the duet wasn't as big on iTunes than I had expected, same with the edit version. Maybe it needs the winter mood to turn it into it a success or maybe it's just not a strong song...
  3. I was hoping for a US follow-up of Delicate, too, but since IDSB was performed at the AMA and did not became a single, I realized this era is over. For me, the success of Delicate saved it. I bought Reputation when it was released, but lost interest in it too soon, because I didn't like Taylor's attitude around it. Delicate brought me back to it and now I've realized that Reputation is a better album than I had thought from the first listenings.
  4. It was on my rotation for months, I really enjoyed it! I'm still sad that it flopped, so Danniii turned away from music again.

  6. If Stop Me From Falling is listed because of the Gente remix you should also add the French version Sensitized avec Christophe Willem.
  7. Thanks for sharing, Jay! So Sigala might have hoped back then that WYWF would made it on the album, but the producers figured out it wouldn't make sense - and they were right!
  8. When was WYWF recorded? Before Kylie started working on her whole Golden album?!? It's hard to believe that Sigala held back this song for so long, so I don't think those reports are true... WYWF might have come along when Golden was in the works or already finished, so it would have been a bad lead single, because Golden's style is too different.
  9. Thanks for sharing so much information I haven't heard about before! I love I'm Over Dreaming, but I guess Never Too Late was the better choice as a single, better for radio and sing-a-long. Since Rhythm Of Love was released after single no 2 I think Step Back In Time was the right choice. What Do I Have To Do would have turned some buyers away, I guess... After Word Is Out missed top ten Finer Feelings would have been a diseaster. They needed If You Were With Me Now & Give Me Just A Little More Time (a classic ballad and a cover) to bring back some buyers and gladly it worked. Some Kind Of Bliss really turned me off back then. Limbo is my favorite non-single from Impossible Princess so Limbo being lead single would be huge for me, but I guess in sales it could have been worse that SKOB. Light Years was doing so great, they didn't need to release a cover, so it's good they kept Under The Influence Of Love an album track. I still wonder how Your Disco Needs You would have done in the UK instead of Please Stay, but I doubt it would have charted higher. Too many people would have called it stupid, PS was a safer bet for radio airplay. 2 Hearts received more attention that In My Arms could ever had, so I'm fine with this choice for lead single.
  10. For the first time the first four songs on a Kylie album became singles. Is ALTR the final single from Golden or will we get one more? Kylie, Light Years & X had more than four singles. Will Golden join this club?
  11. I also remember Kylie's Smiley Mix as Never Too Late's B-Side. My favorite is We Know The Meaning Of Love.
  12. YDNY was released instead of PS, I think it was a good choice. YDNY is one of Kylie's signature songs in Germany, because it was her biggest solo single since Better The Devil You Know. Her Nick Cave duet was top 20, but after that she vanised again.
  13. Living in Germany YDNY was an official single, even her highest charting single from Light Years over here. I remember her being on Germany's biggest tv show performing the song, that helped sales a lot.
  14. I remember Success being voted worst song of the year by Smash Hits readers. People kind of enjoyed hating her music back then, even though I loved most singles of that album.
  15. I think they'll choose a song that could keep the momentum of Delicate in the States and in my opinion the only choices are Getaway Car and Dress. I Did Something Bad would be more of a turn-off for people who didn't like Taylor's attitude when Reputation came out but embraced her again because of Delicate.

I'm surprised that W&G's Karen is nominated in supporting category, but not Jack. I thought he'd be the only one of the cast. Ted Danson is a nice surprise, Sandra Oh & Alexis Bledel, too. Versace Crime Story feels overrated, while Twin Peaks is underrated.

Market shares of yesterday's football match in other European countries: Germany: 52.7% Netherlands: 50.4% France: 46.0% Austria: 45.5% Italy: 36.6% You'd think the UK share would be way above other markets, but it did not.

Across Europe second semi-final was more popular than the first one. Here are some numbers from last night: Germany: 19.23m (58.5%) France: 12.32m (53.7%) Italy: 10.79m (47.2%) Spain: 6.44m (49.8%) Netherlands: 3.50m (58.7%) Belgium: 1.81m Sweden: 1.71m (62.3%) Austria: 1.48m (46.8%)
  19. Back then it was IYWWMN, now it's FF.
  20. For weeks I'm waiting for SMFF to enter Billboard's club play charts, but nothing happens. Dancing has left charts two weeks ago, so it's perfect time for single number 2.

  22. That video to WDIHTD kind of killed her in teen magazines back then, after that she only got negative press. When that Shocked video was released it was like Kylie lost her mind. All that stuff involved Zane O'Donnell being in both videos didn't help either... I still wonder why SAW allowed Kylie's new image. Maybe they were so afraid they might lose her like Rick Astley before, they let her do anything she wanted.
  23. This sales drop wasn't that surprising back then. I remember when BTDYK's video came out people were talking about that Kylie was in the arms of a black man... All four videos got more bad than good press when released. Maybe she would have sold more, if her videos weren't the way they are. I love all of her four singles and videos for many years now, but I have to be honest, being a kid that time I was kind of confused about Kylie's new direction in music and especially in her styling. I guess her tween fanbase drifted away because she didn't act innocent anymore, while twens never were into her sweet attitude anyway, so she could only keep her teen fans who grew with her and wanted to change from childish to adult like she did, too.
  24. This song made me fall in love with Kylie back then. I enjoyed ISBSL but if GTBC never existed I don't think following singles Locomotion and JNSPP would have made a Kylie fan. I like that Mandy Smith cover, too, especially that different pronunciation of the word certain. I doubt it would have been a hit with Mandy releasing it. She sings as if she doesn't care if she's certain or not.
  25. Since I'm not living in the UK I don't know Jane, maybe this cheesy cover works better if you know her personality. If I need a real bubblegum Kylie cover I still prefer Same Difference's "Turn It Into Love".
