That video to WDIHTD kind of killed her in teen magazines back then, after that she only got negative press. When that Shocked video was released it was like Kylie lost her mind. All that stuff involved Zane O'Donnell being in both videos didn't help either... I still wonder why SAW allowed Kylie's new image. Maybe they were so afraid they might lose her like Rick Astley before, they let her do anything she wanted.

This sales drop wasn't that surprising back then. I remember when BTDYK's video came out people were talking about that Kylie was in the arms of a black man... All four videos got more bad than good press when released. Maybe she would have sold more, if her videos weren't the way they are. I love all of her four singles and videos for many years now, but I have to be honest, being a kid that time I was kind of confused about Kylie's new direction in music and especially in her styling. I guess her tween fanbase drifted away because she didn't act innocent anymore, while twens never were into her sweet attitude anyway, so she could only keep her teen fans who grew with her and wanted to change from childish to adult like she did, too.

This song made me fall in love with Kylie back then. I enjoyed ISBSL but if GTBC never existed I don't think following singles Locomotion and JNSPP would have made a Kylie fan. I like that Mandy Smith cover, too, especially that different pronunciation of the word certain. I doubt it would have been a hit with Mandy releasing it. She sings as if she doesn't care if she's certain or not.

Since I'm not living in the UK I don't know Jane, maybe this cheesy cover works better if you know her personality. If I need a real bubblegum Kylie cover I still prefer Same Difference's "Turn It Into Love".

Since the album is climbing for the second week in a row the single kind of works to increase sales. For awhile I thought that Jack Savoretti duet could be single number 4, but now I think it's too close to "Where The Wild Roses Grow" and people would compete it to it saying it's worse, so "Music's Too Sad Without You" could backfire as a single release... Maybe Kylie gets her wish and "Lost Without You" will be her next single.

Thanks for sharing, but too sad they didn't ask about new music. I wonder if we ever get another single after "Holding On" and "Galaxy" flopped.

I still wonder why Dannii lost momentum after this album. I loved all four singles of "Neon Nights", but then "You Won't Forget About Me" came along and it just couldn't compete with them, in creativity and in sales, same with "Perfection" and so on... Not that didn't like any of her follow-up singles, but I just wasn't mad about any of them.

I also hope it's true. Would prefer "Getaway Car" over the other rumoured "I Did Something Bad" as next single. Since "Delicate" is reaching a new peak every week on Billboard's Hot 100 I'm surprised a new single is announced now, because I thought they'd wait until "Delicate" is losing steam.

For her big birthday and her upcoming tv special "Golden" is the best choice as third single. If it helps the album, maybe we'll get a fourth single...

When Riverdance was interval act. I enjoyed it very very much and never thought it would become a global sensation.

Sometimes I think those DJs (for Billboard's club charts) are kind of old-fashioned. This week Crystal Waters, Lisa Stansfield and Kim Wilde are on the charts, don't think their current singles are really played in many clubs anywhere else.

When Jewel and Sheryl Crow made country albums, their singles charted at Billboard country charts. I wonder if BMG might send a Kylie tune to country stations in the States, but I don't know if "Dancing" or "Stop Me From Falling" would do well. What would be the best "Golden" song for country radio?

It was watched by 3,2 million viewers in Germany last night. It's an all-time low for Let's Dance, but even if only 1 percent of those viewers would buy "Dancing" it would be fantastic. "Golden" also returned into top 10 on iTunes... I hope US promotion will help her in the States the same way it did in Germany.

Her promotion in Germany this week really pays off. "Dancing" is currently at no 12 in iTunes, never been higher and Kylie could enter single top 100 for the first time this week. "Dancing" is currently at no 92 in midweeks. Her most watched performance will be tonight at "Let's Dance" where around 4 million viewers will be watching. Echo was watched by 1,8 millions last night and helped "Dancing" reaching a new high, so there's hope "Let's Dance" could do even more.

I wonder if part of the reason why Deconstruction singles are lower on this list is because it only got one release. Back then during the PWL years I bought Kylie's singles as 7" & 12", later changed to 7" & CD maxi. After her big comeback there were two versions of her CD singles and I bought both. I'm sure there are other fans who bought a single in every version, but Deconstruction didn't offer much, so it couldn't sell as much as PWL singles.

"Dancing" is featured in the current season of Germany's version of "Strictly Come Dancing", being so-called dancing hit of the year where viewers / users have to dance to "Dancing" and share their videos with each other. This promotion really helped "Dancing" in sales, but still streaming is too small to enter the official charts.
