German Singles Chart - December 22
Unbelievable that Xavier Naidoo's "Dieser Weg" is still at no. 31. Exactly a year ago this song was no. 02. I guess every German bought this song but me. At year-end "Dieser Weg" is only at no. 10 and that's weird, because it has been on the charts all year long. Meanwhile Gnarls Barkley are this year's no. 04, but they never made it to the top. By the way, their "Gone Daddy Gone" flopped this week, when it charted at no. 103.

Scandinavian Singles Charts - December 22
Thanks, Fresh! I didn't know that Magnus Carlsson got a new single. I hope it's a good song. Unbelievable that Helena Paparizou is still successful in Sweden!

Monrose
I like Monrose, but they should try to be successful in their home country Germany for awhile and then go to foreign language countrys like Sarah Connor and US 5 did and Tokio Hotel are planning for 2007. Monrose are Popstars winners and Popstars bands can be gone very soon. If Monrose will be Germany's Eurovision entry next year and if they are successful there, then it's time to think about an European carrer. I remember when Hear'Say and Girls Aloud released their debut singles in Germany and nobody had interest in it. The same could happen to Monrose in the UK.

Austrian Singles Chart - Monrose #1
Great to see Monrose on top of the single charts in three countrys. Their debut album is already number one in Germany and it looks as if Austria and Switzerland will follow. Next year Monrose could be big in Europe, because it seems that they are Germany's entry for Eurovision. Of course, they have to win Germany's competition first, but the other performers are weak, so Eurovision should get ready for Monrose!

No, Westlife's "The Rose" won't get a physical release in Germany, it's just digital, but "The Rose" was played a couple times on radio and tv when the album was released. There are no plans for another single release from "The Love Album" for the German market yet.

I'm sure the reason why "All Good Things" has become Nelly Furtado's biggest hit is the fact that the German version of this song features Rea Garvey. Teens buy Furtado's singles since "Maneater", while adults love Reamonn, so everyone has bought "All Good Things". Westlife's "The Love Album" charted at no. 34 this week. That's not great, but it is still better than Oasis' entry at no. 53 last week. Last year Westlife's "Face To Face" reached no. 18.

Dutch Singles Chart - Jan Smit #1
Has Fedde Le Grand's "Take No SHHHHH" not been released in the Netherlands yet or did the single flop?

French Singles Chart - Fatal Bazooka #1
I can't believe that Star Academy is still such a hit! This show needs to be over someday.

Liberty X
Remembering Hear'Say I ask myself if the band could have survived longer if some members of Liberty X would have been in it. I still don't understand how Suzanne and Noel made it to the band instead of Jessica and Kevin. And Kelli would have been a much better choice than Kym. I still prefer Liberty X's music to Hear'Say's. Looking back "The Way To Your Love" has been the only good single by Hear'Say, while almost every single by Liberty X was great.

Liberty X
Have Liberty X ever released a single in the States? Wikipedia says that "Holding On For You" and "Fresh" charted, but I never heard about that. Wikipedia's peak positions of the UK and French charts are correct, but I'm not sure about the US charts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_X Let's hope Liberty X return with great new tracks soon.

Netherlander Singles Chart - November 26
Is Jan Smit also Jantje Smit? I never got into his music. Now that Lucie Silvas is over in the UK, it seems like all she is able to do is collaborate with European stars (Marco Borsato, Reamonn).

Germany Top 100 online
For the fourth week in a row there's a new entry at number 02, but still no change at number 01. Right now it seems that there will be a new entry at number 02 next week again (Take That). I'm looking forward to see Monrose chart in three weeks. Their debut "Shame" will be number 01 for sure and could be one of the biggest selling singles of the year. It's nice to see Preluders' Anne back on the charts with Milk & Honey's debut "Habibi (Je T'Aime)" at number 16.

Heidi Klum - Wonderland
Has anybody heard Heidi Klum's debut single "Wonderland" yet? "Wonderland" is a Christmas song for charity. Heidi Klum won't start a music career, she says, this single is just made for charity. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland "Wonderland" is released this week. No information about a UK release yet.

Germany Top 100 online
There's no free permission to read Germany's single and album positions from 101 to 150. Sometimes I get some information about new entrys from an insider, but I don't pay for that positions, because they are not really interesting. That "54,74,90,2006 (2010)" song by Sportfreunde Stiller was a dropout last week. The official World Cup anthem Herbert Grönemeyer's "Zeit, Dass Sich Was Dreht" is still at no. 60. The reason why official and inofficial World Cup songs are still around, is a documentary about World Cup ("Deutschland 2006: Ein Sommermärchen") that has been at the top of the German box office for several weeks and will be broadcasted in December.

Nice to see the official World Cup anthem still on the charts. David Hasselhoff's "Jump In My Car" charted at no. 101. Fedde le Grand (no. 78) could have charted better, too.

"All Good Things (Come To An End)" || 3rd Single [27th Nov]
Who knows more about the different single versions of "All Good Things"? In Germany the single version is by Nelly Furtado featuring Reamonn. It's already on the radio, and I have to say, Rea's voice makes the track more interesting.

Cascada's next single...
I'm not much into Cascada, even though I love the fact that this German dance act, who is not successful is his home country, got a hit around the globe. I like "A Neverending Dream", but I don't think it would be a good choice for the UK, because I think the Brits don't know the original version of that song. "How Do You Do" would be the best choice for the UK market, in my opinion. It could be a bigger hit that "Truly Madly Deeply" and it was Cascada's biggest German club hit in 2005. "Bad Boy" has been their biggest club hit in 2004, so this could be another opportunity for the UK market. Cascada should not release their current German single "Ready For Love", because it is a weak track. Of course, "Miracle" should be forgotten for the UK market, because it has flopped in the States.

David Hasselhoff - Jump In my car
Yesterday I saw a coverage on German television about how popular David Hasselhoff is in the UK now. At first I thought this can't be true, but then that Radio One DJ talked about his campaign and that the Brits would love Hasselhoff now because he has turned into a funny person. Strange fact is that there is not much interest in "Jump In My Car" in David Hasselhoff's favourite country Germany. It seems that the Germans loved Hasselhoff when he was young, while the Brits prefer the older version of him.

5ive Announcement
Is Simon Fuller involved in 5ive's comeback or are they trying to make it own their own? I guess, they could be more successful if they are signed to 19.

5ive Announcement
I liked Sean, sadly that he's gone. I remember that he didn't do much promo for their third album, but I didn't know that he had left 5ive before they did split. Looking at the promopics it seems that J has lost his hair. There's no picture of him without baseballcap.

Beverly Hills, 90210
90210 was a show (like Charmed or ER) that I would have watched forever. Good trash!

5ive Announcement
I liked 5ive and would like to see them reunited.

"High School Musical" Charts Thread
I'm looking forward to see this movie. It airs this afternoon on German television, but I doubt that its ratings and cd sales will be as big as in other countries.

Germany Top 100 chart online
Midweeks, not predictions. In Germany singles and albums are released on fridays. Robbie has been no. 01 on friday, saturday and monday. No. 02 (Justin Timberlake) and no. 03 (Tokio Hotel) are also non-movers in daily sales.
