Some midweeks info for the next two German single chart weeks: Next week Tokio Hotel will chart at no. 01, while Justin Timberlake enters at no. 02. The following week Timberlake will remain at no. 02, while Robbie Williams will be the new no. 01.
  2. I'm surprised that a lot of people are happy about Kim Wilde's comeback. In Germany "You Came" has charted at no. 20. Besides the duet with Nena (Anyplace, Anytime, Anywhere) this is Kim Wilde's biggest solo hit in Germany since "Four Letter Word" reached no. 10 in 1989.

I don't think that anybody outside the UK and Australia knows what The Big Three is. I have never heard about a new record in the so-called Big Three before. In European countries only the US und UK charts are mentioned on tv and radio. In Europe there is currently more interest in Asian than in Australian charts, because new acts (Shanadoo, Jade) having a breakthrough.
  4. Thanks. I didn't know that "Living On Video" was a hit in the 80s. I guess Lazard made the first remake. I also didn't know that Chipz are writing their own songs.

There will be a close race for next weeks charts. Currently Rihanna has sold most copies followed closely by Xavier Naidoo and Vibekingz. Nelly Furtado will have two top ten singles next week, when "Promisuous" charts.
  6. I didn't know that Fedde Le Grand's "Put Your Hands Up 4 Detroit" is such a hit in the Netherlands. Anyway, it's a good club song. Is Pakito's "Living On Video" a cover of the Lazard track? Which artist has made the original? What has happened to Chipz in their homecountry? Are they over or are they taking a break?

I think the reason why English music is successful in Europe is that English is a language that is easy to speak. Every European kid has to learn English at school, so you understand at least the chorus of a song, that's enough to sing it along. It's much harder to sing the chorus of a French, Italian or German song, when it's not your mother tongue or you haven't learned this language at school.

When "Cuba" came around, I didn't expect it to be such a smash hit in the clubs, the same with Commander Tom's and Klubbingman's current hits. Klubbingman's "Ride On A White Train" sounds like the 90s. At the start I didn't like it, but it has grown on me, so that I am singing it along now. From this weeks chart my personal favourites are Untouchable 3, DONS and The Stonedlove. My least favourite track is Shaun Baker's "Bakerman". I didn't like Laid Back's original and Shaun Baker didn't make it better. Caramel Club should be massive in a few weeks, because Cuba Club is already no. 1. Fedde Le Grand's "Put Your Hands Up For Detroit" is also an interesting track. Of course, Plastik Funk's cover of "Gonna Make You Sweat" will be a hit. I still love the original version, but Plastik Funk did a good job. Danzel's new track is not as good as his previous singles. Cascada have also had better singles than "Ready For Love". I haven't heard Sonique's "Sleezy" yet. Is it a good song?

What has happened to Jeanette, who has charted at no. 50 this week?!? A few years ago every single has been a hit and her videos have been amazing, and now her person and her music have become boring. Her tv series (German version of "I Dream Of Jeanie") is on hiatus. Her only success is that she is this year's FHM Germany sexiest woman of the world.

It's a hit in the European clubs, so I guess it should arrive in the UK very soon.

Lou Bega makes a small comeback in Holland. He still looks like the good old days when "Mambo No. 5" was a worldwide smash. The new tune is alright, but nothing more.

Have you heard DONS' version of Inner City's "Big Fun"? I like it a lot. I didn't like their cover of "Pump Up The Jam" very much, but this time DONS did a great job.
  14. This tune great, but Hi_Tack is not the artist, they have only mixed the Radio and the Club version. The artist is called Untouchable 3. I prefer the Hi_Tack version, even though Michi Lange made a cool electro remix of that song.

What do you think of Kim Wilde's "You Came 2006"? I'm really glad that she is trying to make a comeback. The new version of "You Came" is really good, but not as brilliant as the original. In Germany Kim Wilde's longplayer "Never Say Never", which is produced by Nena's hitmaker Uwe Fahrenkrog-Petersen, will be released on September 8th. There will be 14 tracks on the album: 8 new tracks and 6 remakes, which include "You Keep Me Hangin' On" featuring Nena and "Kids In America" featuring Charlotte Hatherley.

The American-German pop sensation US 5, who is big in Europe and in Asia right now, wants to be big in the United Kingdom, too. Therefore the five boys Jay, Izzy, Mike, Chris and Richie are moving from Berlin to London. "We want to be top of the pops in the UK", Jay explains. When US 5 has conquered the UK, the boys want to have their breakthrough in America. "The British girls will love us", Chris says, "they need a new hot boygroup!" Casting band US 5 has had two tv shows: First "Big in America", then "Big in Europe", maybe there's "Big in the UK" next. Every single release has reached the German top five, the longplayer "Here We Are" has also been a top five hit.

More than 5.9 billion people watched World Cup matches live in 54 global markets, according to a final tally released by media buying and planning firm Initiative. World Cup got an average TV audience of 93 million viewers each match. About 284 million people tuned in to see Italy beat on penalty kicks in the final on July 9, while 202 million watched the Germany-Italy semifinal and 188 million saw the other semifinal between Portugal and France.

Goleo still got four singles on the charts, his album falls to no. 23. Currently it looks like Sergio Mendes and Sebastian Hämer will climb into the top ten next week.

I doubt that Sarah Connor will return very soon. Her newborn got a heart defect and needs an operation within the next few weeks.
  22. I enjoy "That's The Way My Heart Goes" very much, it got some good club mixes, too. But Marie Serneholt has always reminded me on Holly Valence. The clip to "That's The Way My Heart Goes" is so hot and great just like "Kiss Kiss" was then, so it was obvious that a second single (and the video) couldn't hold that level. Because of that Swedish flop Marie Serneholt should release another single for the European market instead of "I Need A House", but to be honest I don't see a strong track like "That's The Way My Heart Goes" on her cd. Maybe she should release a brand new song that has not been on "Enjoy The Ride".

I got all albums by Sheryl Crow, even her live cd. They are all good. "Wildflower" is not her best longplayer and she released weak singles. "Letter To God" and "Where Has All The Love Gone?" are great. I liked "My Favourte Mistake" very much. "It's Only Love" from "C'mon C'mon" is another favourte of mine. "Tomorrow Never Dies" seems to be a song, that Sheryl Crow wants to forget, because it's not on her best of.

I remember when that album was released I was totally in love with it. "Gentleman Who Fell", "You Did It All Before" and "In A Glade" were great. Even now I almost remember every song on "The Divine Comedy". I should listen to that great album again, I think. I would love to hear some new stuff by Milla Jovovich.

I liked most of her hits, especially "Secret Rendezvous". Haven't thought about her for ages.
