Torple

04 Piper Chapman 07 Alex Vause - always MUCH better outside of her relationship with Piper 08 Red - her decline was the saddest part of s7 for me 08 Crazy Eyes - this is more a mark for Uzo Aduba who did glorious work, as in truth I found a lot of Crazy Eyes' rambles about chickens and other shite tedious as hell 08 Taystee - she was the true lead from s5 onwards 09 Nicky Nichols 06 Pennsatucky - did very well to elicit sympathy considering she was frequently utterly UNPLEASANT 10 Gloria Mendoza 07 Black Cindy - much improved when she stopped playing a cartoon 05 Daya Diaz - sympathetic at the start, unbelievable at the end. Adeola would have been a much more realistic Queen Bee 10 Lorna Morello 09 Poussey Washington 08 Flaca Gonzales 10 Big Boo - I didn't realise how much I liked her until she WASN'T THERE anymore. An oddly comforting presence. 08 Aleida Diaz - clearly AWFUL but I kept on rooting for her to come good 10 Maria Ruiz 10 Blanca Flores 09 Frieda Berlin 07 Sophia Burset - it feels like Laverne Cox achieved more fame from this role than the character actually warranted, given Sophia may as well have exited after s1 06 Norma Romano 06 Maritza Ramos 02 Janae Watson - I LIKE RUNNING isn't a personality 10 Angie Rice - joyfully ridiculous 08 Leanne Taylor 04 Gina Murphy - pretty unlikeable and would be a 2, but sympathy points for being one of the very few to never receive any kind of backstory 10 Erica "Yoga" Jones - her voice, her face FASCINATES me 10 Mei Chang 10 Sister Jane Ingalls 08 Rosa "Miss Rosa" Cisneros 03 Tricia Miller 08 Brook Soso 07 Lolly Whitehill 05 Yvonne "Vee" Parker 05 Maureen Kukudio 06 Judy King 01 Stella Carlin 03 Irene "Zirconia" Cabrera ?? Alana Dwight - no idea. Where is Adeola or Dame Anita or Beth The Baby Killer? 05 Alison Abdullah 00 Madison "Badison" Murphy - GOOD GRIEF 05 Dominga "Daddy" Duarte 08 Barbara "Barb" Denning 08 Carol Denning 06 Miss Claudette Pelage - Lord she feels like a different ERA 08 Joe Caputo 04 Sam Healy 07 Joel Luschek 07 Wanda Bell 06 Scott O'Neill 03 George "Pornstache" Mendez 04 John Bennett 03 Susan Fischer 02 Charlie "Donuts" Coates 06 Baxter "Gerber" Bayley 08 Artesian McCullough 04 Desi Piscatella 05 B. Stratman 04 Thomas "Humps" Humphrey 02 Virginia "Ginger" Copeland 09 Tamika Ward 01 Hellman 02 Stefanovic 04 Alvarez 04 Jarod Young 04 Larry Bloom 09 Natalie "Fig" Figueroa 02 Linda Ferguson

Oh it REEKED of Tin Tin Out. Those guys did a decent job of What Can I Do, but after that they should have been firmly told to piss off. Would You Be Happier was easily their LOWEST moment - it's basically a very poor man's Emma Bunton knock-off I can understand the Goodbye omission - although LOVELY it's hardly a pivotal moment for them, and probably communicates the wrong message given they've been rumbling on in public about this not just being a one-off comeback. I remain disappointed at the lack of a Jim Corr conspiracy theory themed solo album.

Oh that appallingly weak remix of I Never Loved You Anyway really was just plain MUSICAL VANDALISM I really wasn't sorry they skipped Summer Sunshine - for me, always one of their flimsiest releases. Angel however would have been very welcome. But then for the latter, they did seem to steer clear of the more personal moments in general - see also the lack of Gerry's Reel. Caroline definitely seems to be most fame-shy, although I'm sure they're wishing it was Jim who would BELT UP these days.

As far as single releases go, I think their real missed trick was not re-releasing I Never Loved You Anyway after they hit the big-time. Adored the live show - thought Andrea's vocals started off a little shaky, although hearing Give Me A Reason early on was a welcome surprise; would never have expected that to be included over Summer Sunshine or Old Town. They all seemed to find their footing after they got going on the instrumental section though, and from that point on they were spot on. And the decision on which White Light tracks to include and which to snub were on point. Highlights; the stripped back Love To Love You, Dreams, and the whole arena on their feet for the Breathless / Toss The Feathers finale. Much more rousing than a 40-something Corrs gig had any right to be, and it's really LOVELY to see that they still command a devoted fanbase now, even if I was almost a sole island amidst a sea of Linda-47-from-Reigate housewives. And the all-important perspective from an aged gai - YES to Caroline being the hottest

OMG OMG OMG I am weeping tears of Fleurie at this right now. This tour MUST HAPPEN

People not ranking Black Box Recorder need to educate themselves STAT

This countdown is as FABULOUS as their discography. Feather boas AHOY We appear to have managed a quite REASONABLE top 10 there, although I'd have liked it more with Stop and Am I Right in the place of Fingers And Thumbs and Breathe. I think Tony might be quite right on the latter - I like it mostly because it achieved the seemingly impossible of granting Erasure a top 5 hit in 2005; an era ruled by rappers, crunk, and Elvis Presley reissues. I can only echo Dandu*'s sentiments on the musical heroine that is MC Kinky. Truly a visionary, and I'm sure we can all agree that without her bravely paving the way, there'd be no Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea or Deetah in the current age. MANDATORY TOP 3 01. You Surround Me 02. Chorus 03. Blue Savannah

Well now that one really IS an OLD FART now, one must do their best to help uphold decrepit aged queen stereotypes.

Oh this is FABULOUS Pop! The First 20 Hits remains the best and most consistent artist compilation of all time. Not a single moment of shite. Poor man's PSB indeed  Having said that I'd have been happier if they'd have called it a day in '91. 09 Who Needs Love (Like That) 08 Heavenly Action 08 Oh L'amour 10 Sometimes 08 It Doesn't Have To Be 08 Victim Of Love 09 The Circus 08 Ship Of Fools 09 Chains Of Love 10 A Little Respect 06 Phantom Bride 10 Stop! 09 Drama! 11 You Surround Me 10 Blue Savannah 10 Star 10 Chorus 10 Love To Hate You 10 Am I Right? 07 Breath Of Life 04 Lay All Your Love On Me 03 SOS 10 Take A Chance On Me 03 Voulez Vous 06 Always 06 Run To The Sun 03 I Love Saturday 04 Stay With Me 07 Fingers & Thumbs (Cold Summer's Day) 05 Rock Me Gently 05 In My Arms 03 Don't Say Your Love Is Killing Me 06 Rain 07 Freedom 03 Moon & The Sky 07 Solsbury Hill 08 Make Me Smile (Come Up And See Me) 08 Breathe 05 Don't Say You Love Me 04 Here I Go Impossible Again 02 All This Time Still Falling Out Of Love 04 Boy 04 I Could Fall In Love With You 03 Sunday Girl 03 Storm In A Teacup 04 When I Start To (Break It All Down) 04 Be With You 03 Fill Us With Fire
