Record of the Decade - Top 200 Results
Of all the minor top 20 hits that Buzzjack could still be looning up over, We Are The People is by far the most deserving one. Beautiful, uplifting dreampop at it's best. I hope very much for a second album.

Amy had a terrible exit; Ally dumped her so that he could shack up with Ash, so Amy got drunk and tried to seduce Ste, and the next morning was so mortified she decided to move away for good. Because you know, moving to a different part of the country is always the best way to deal with mild embarrassment.

Mostly a load of interminable gangland nonsense and endless I'm-going-to-make-you-jealous playground games from nobody's favourite couple Texas and Dodger. There's also a truly terrible plot where Leanne and Doug are getting married so that they can win money from Doug's family, and Ste's throwing temper tantrums despite it being his idea. The only plot development of any consequence is that Walker is actually a bent undercover cop, out to get revenge on Brendan (Brendan supplied drugs that rendered Walker's brother a vegetable). And both Amy and Scott have left the show.

OK so having now seen the latest episode, I will retract my words on Brendan's gangland adventures. THEORY:- EastEnders
Sharon really is the most LUDICROUS of creatures. I wasn't on board with her return when the news broke, but I'm beginning to think "the Dolly Bird" will be RIGHT at home in Bizarro Albert Square where Janine Butcher is a mother and housewife, Heather Trott is at the centre of a major WHODUNNIT, and Ian Beale is a tramp. I particularly loved that she just "forgot" she had a child when she ran out on her wedding, and that she's also inherited Vanessa's wardrobe of white power suits.- Hollyoaks //
Exactly. It's faintly ludicrous that we're expected to see Joel as some up-and-coming gangster extraordinaire, when the vast majority of his time has been spent being humiliated by employee Walker or beaten up by schoolboy Callum. I'm also struggling to really care about the Brendan gangland adventures (although I haven't yet seen the E4 episode). It's difficult to engage in a storyline that is so focused on a war with an offscreen villain who has made about two nondescript 5-second appearances. It's all very Gangster Andy from Eastenders, and definitely not the best use of Brendan.- Hollyoaks //
I think it's quite glaring from the last few months that there's been a lot of last-minute editing and chopping and cutting of scenes. It very much feels like we were missing a handful of Jen/Tilly, Declan, and Joel/Theresa scenes. Coming at a time when the ratings are hitting all-time lows, it suggests hasty rewrites or interference from the powers that be. The show is descending into a terrible state again. The Lynsey murder strand has been completely ignored the past month or so, and that was really the only shining light. Doug/Ste are a TERRIBLE coupling; Doug in particular seems to have been completely emasculated. The spineless, wimpering mess we see on our screens bears absolutely no resemblance to the womanising drug dealer he was not even a couple of years ago (not that either persona is particularly appealing). Joel is an utterly hideous character. I don't know if the show considers Joel some sort of anti-hero that the audience should empathise with, but it just doesn't work because he's a nasty brat who spends every scene throwing temper tantrums and insisting he's a hardman (utterly unconvincingly). I'd also quite like Theresa to wake up, get a clue, and realise that the bloke she's dating is one of the main reasons her aunt is in jail. And then I'd like her to leave. The Tilly/Jen pairing is also doing neither character any favours. Tilly started out as the only halfway-sensible member of the teen scene, and now she's a desperate semi-stalker, and Jen is giving off serious "p****" vibes right now with all this talk of "naughty girls". Texas/Dodger need to just GET ON WITH IT because they are not a Ross/Rachel will-they-won't-they that viewers will be prepared to care about for years on end. I think some changes are needed if the show is to survive.- Hits by British artists in the US

I know Sex On Fire is hardly standard BJ fare, but the idea that it ranks below Jordin Sparks as a classic is utterly ridiculous.- EE character r8 2o12
I don't know if it's more representative of the CURSE OF BUZZJACK or of Jark's terrible timekeeping that all of that bottom 7 have since been dispatched to the neverlands of offscreen. Frankly I think they all need to be smacked around the head, but I will say unpleasant man as Elton appears to be, he's the only one to be associated with a decent album this year.- Elton John Attacks Madonna Again!
Quoted from Digital Spy Actually, it's hard to disagree with him on those points. The general public don't WANT her leotard-clad vagina thrust in their faces anymore, and it's been a long time since she recorded music that saw her ahead of the game rather than chasing reductive trends.- Hollyoaks //
Scott's exit was rubbish, and judging from spoilers, . There really isn't much of interest going on right now, although I quite enjoyed Carmel letting rip at the McQueens. The aftermath to the Lynsey murder has been less than fulfilling; bless them but the likes of Will, Texas and Ally are simply not capable of holding up what should have been a massive blockbuster plot.- Record of the Decade - Playoff 2

I'm going to differ from Jark, I found it incredibly difficult to whittle the list down to 20. Initially there were only 10/50 that I could easily cull.
