  1. I hate self titled albums, and wondered which song you would have made the title track for Kylie's debut album, and for the Kylie Minogue 94 album, and for the Kylie Minogue/Impossible Princess album (or would you have gone ahead with the Impossible Princess title) ?
  2. I vote for Naked. I thought it was quite different at the time....and I still think it's quite different now.
  3. Too many great songs on zero votes ! What about ranking them ? I'd go.... 1st - Made In Heaven 2nd - Getting Closer 3rd - I Am The One For You 4th - All I Wanna Do Is Make You Mine 5th - We Know The Meaning of Love 6th - I Just Wanna Love You 7th - Do You Dare 8th - Glad to Be Alive 9th - Closer 10th - Say The Word I'll Be There
  4. I went for Who Do you Love Now. When that was in the charts, I really thought she had a chance of getting a #1. All I Wanna Do is still fabulous. I'm surprised she didn't keep the blonde look for longer.
  5. I vote for Love at First Sight. I still get a buzz when it unexpectedly pops up on my ipod shuffle. The first three singles are amazing. The fourth , not so much.
  6. Secret (Take You Home) gets my vote as the only one I can even remember, apart from the singles. The singles aren't great either. For me, the album was a giant disappointment that didn't even manage to grow on me, so I got rid. I re purchased it many yrs later , a second hand version, just to fill the gap in my Kylie albums. I still think it's a lot of very whispery breathy background music.

Fourth album ?! I have her debut (and a fine debut it is too), but genuinely did not know that she'd ever released a follow up.

Yes! I woulda liked half an half. Half the album to be the obvious ones, and the other half to be not so obvious gems. I like that you put When All Is Said And Done - that's the first one I searched for and wished for on the tracklist. If it had been half an half, I'd want that album immediately. As it is, and there's so many of her albums that I've not yet got - I'll just add this to the list, to get...whenever.

Jo Brand was my reason to tune in for this, she's great. The surprise me for me was the guy (don't know the actors name), that played Tamwar in Eastenders. I really liked him in EE but didn't think I'd take to him as another character. He's hilarious in this !

Amy is the one that makes me laugh most. I wish they'd show more of Stuart. Kill off Raj, and put Stuart in the opening credits instead.

ooh not much discussion on that last series, but it was the weakest one ! I liked Tim Vine and Liza Tarbuck already, and still do by the end of it. Didn't take to Russell Howard at all. I'd not heard of the other two. No, it wasn't great.

I love this show, one to watch repeatedly. Funniest thing on tv since Arrested Development (though the last series of AD was a disappointment). Fav Brooklyn character is either Charles. or Capt Holt. Or Jake, or Terry. Too hard to narrow it down, they're all so good.
  13. I bought some second hand dvd's the other day : Police Squad! - I love the Naked Gun movies, but had never seen the tv show. I have now. Loved it ! Monday Monday - the first and only series. I've never even heard of this, but it was only a euro, and features actors that I've liked in other shows. Brokeback Mountain - I've never seen this movie. It was only 50c.
  14. I'm voting The Winner Takes It All. Again.
  15. I vote for More More More. I also love Fever, and Burning Up. I can't actually remember Love Affair from the title , but am curious now as it's some peoples first choice. I know I like the whole album so must like that one too, just drawing a blank. If Feels So Good had been on the album, it would get my vote. It's in my top 5 Kylie songs ever !
  16. I love the PWL b sides more than any of the b sides that came later. I wish there were a million more PWL b sides. I vote for Made In Heaven. They're all so good. I've never thought Jason Donovan had much of a voice. All I Wanna Do Is Make You Mine is such a fun duet, and he just about gets away with it, but I'd have liked someone else from the Hit Factory.....maybe Rick Astley ? Then, it woulda been single worthy. Would you like to have seen any of these tracks on the albums originally ? At the expense of which tracks ? The Rhythm of Love album - as much as I adore every track , I'd have included I Am The One For You, and demoted Secrets to b side status.
  17. 1 Schizophonic (In A Bubble is a bit crap, but everything else is marvellous, as were the bonus tracks on singles). 2 Victoria Beckham (bought yrs later in a bargain bin, expecting to hate it, but I really like it) especially IOU. 3 A Girl Like Me (bought even more yrs later) 4 Hot (Feels So Good is excellent. Lullaby ok if a bit sickly. Everything else to be avoided).
  18. Spice - I actually wish Bumper to Bumper had been on the album to have been a single. Seeing as it wasn't, I go for Naked. Spiceworld - Never Give Up On The Good Times, probably my fave Spice Girls song of all. Forever - all of the non singles on the previous albums were better than every track on this one. If You Wanna Have Some Fun at a push. Hot - just no. I've never heard Mel C's I have Emma's since last year, but don't know them well enough yet. Schizophonic - Goodnight Kiss Scream If You Wanna - this is the hard one. I wish the title track & Calling had not been singles, I prefer Strength Of A Woman & Circles. I pick Strength. Passion - Love Never Loved Me Victoria Beckham - I.O.U
  19. Good topic, though I'm only gonna do a top 5 for each. I've no idea what the counts will look like.... *puts on ipod, and types each name * GERI 65 - Love Never Loved Me - my fav Geri song ! 52 - Desire 34 - Ride It 02 - Breaking Glass 02 - Destiny VICTORIA 12 - French version of Mind Of It's Own 12 - Shake It - I don''t even remember this one, but that's shuffle for you. 11 - I'd Give It All Away 10 - My Love is For Real 08 - I Wish [ft Robbie Craig] EMMA 41 - Crickets Sing For Anamaria 39 - Maybe 03 - All I Need To Know 01 - Free Me 01 - I'll Be There MEL B 07 - Lullaby 02 - Tell Me - I'm not keen on this one. Feels So Good is her best one, and I didn't know til now that I'd not put it on the ipod yet ! No Mel C. I thought Turn To You was on there, but apparently not. I have it on a compilation cd so shall add it soon.
  20. pippa, you magnificent poll maker ,you ! Yes, but only 'cause she's the best one. Deep down, she's everyone's favourite. :cheer:
  21. I went for Call The Shots, but don't mind which one wins. All good.
  22. For me, they're all terrible versions ,but I can just about tolerate Jump so it gets my vote. The Pointer Sisters have a huge back catalogue, it would have been better if GA had gone for something less obvious. When Steps did a cover of Bananarama's lesser known track (Last Thing On My Mind), I was happy , but when they did Kylie's Better The Devil You Know, I just shake my head. So many other gems to choose from. GA doing a Tiffany song (yeah i know she's not the original but it's the version we all think of), I'd rather they went for one of her others. I would've liked a Tiff cover, just not this one. It's lazy karaoke. I'll Stand By You - I like the original. GA sound lifeless and limp in comparison. See The Day - Dee C Lee gives such a wow vocal. It's one of those songs that gives goosebumps. GA = one of the weakest covers I've ever heard. Walk This Way - I didn't like the original and don't like this. It's just sounds like two groups yelling at each other !
  23. The Loving Kind gets my vote. One of their very best.
  24. I wasn't sure which one to vote for. Well, had to be Geri as hers are all beyond fab. But which one when they're all 10/10's with cherries on top ? I went for Lift Me Up. Emma's WTYSL is lovely, like The Corrs when they're not crap. Mel C's I Turn To You is her finest moment imo. Dare I say, I'd like NBTSA more..... if Left Eye wasn't on it. Mel B's Want You Back does nothing for me.
  25. I vote for Look At Me by Geri. I don't like any of those other debut singles, but they all went on to do songs that I would like.
