  1. I've now voted. The winner must be in my top 3, it simply MUST be !
  2. This is my first laptop. I think I have it about 8 yrs now. It no longer lets me put songs from my ipod onto a blank disc anymore, or photos....so I think it's on it's way out.
  3. So, it ended last night. I thought the guy playing Archie looked quite a bit like (a younger version of) the actor who plays the late father. It wasn't great though. Watchable, but no laugh out loud moments for me.

This weeks highlight has to be Sally's water-cooler moment ! :o

^^ oh my word, 1980 ?? And here was I thinking my '87 finds were one of the first. Not even close  1980, that's mad. Thanks for looking it up.
  6. I really like Dancing In The Rain, and Amen is my fav song so far this year !
  7. Excellent on Strictly, I'd never heard her sing before. I don't like the handwritten style font on the album cover. At first glance, it looks like 8 hen dan.

I used to have lots, but gave most to charity shops as I replaced them in CD. I've kept some, and quite a few cassette singles that I'd find it harder to part with. I know I should part with them, as they're boxed away...but I've got rid of some before and then regretted it. I had thought that cassette singles were a brand new thing in the 1990s - I'd never seen nor heard of them before, and then in the mid 90s, I bought some cassette singles from a car boot sale, that were from 1987. Just how far back to they go, I wonder ?

I'm only really liking Sally, and I don't mind Mark (?) I liked the task where they had to eat/balance/throw from the choices of twiglet/jelly/weetabix. Aisling choosing to eat the dry Weetabix, and thenSally choosing to throw the jelly ? Whaaaat ?! The blindfolded task of blowing up the balloon to the circumference of a cucumber (or something) didn't seem like a good task until.....then being asked to spot the differences in the jumbled display :)

I'm glad it's ending next week (?) so I'll see it though, but it's gone completely barmy.

Tonight, I'll be watching Mr Mercedes - episode 4, I think. Each episode has been very good, so far.
  12. I voted for 10.

^^ Aww I like both of them in it.

I loved the first series. Really didn't enjoy the second series at all, and won't be back for a third. It's Broadchurch all over again ! I wanted to see more of sneaky Roz and the couple from across the street - especially the guy. And Simon's mistress, and her family. For me , there was far too much of just Gemma/Tom/Simon. All three could have been wiped out in the traffic and I'd have cheered.

It started off well, but I wished I hadn't bothered in the end. I'm still not sure who killed Osvald, in the basement ?

It was beyond daft that Ben got so worked up about not not hearing from Luke (that soon). And then turning up at Lukes workplace and mouthing off in such a big way, sounding even more cockney than he's ever sounded before. Even if Luke hadn't met Kathy, he'd still run a mile from Ben after that performance.

I'm happy that Simon stayed. I like him, though he was overmarked by Shirl. I think Joe's my favourite. That smile. And now with added moustache. *swoon*

  19. I don't know if there's a 'What's the last Madonna item you bought?' thread, so I'll just say it here. This week I bought the CD of Something To Remember. I remember receiving the cassette version for birthday when it was a new release, but that's long gone now - as is the This Used To Be My Playground cassette single. It's good to hear that one again, it's been years !
  20. I'd voted for Keep It Together, Dress You Up and Angel. The more I think of it, I should have voted for The Look of Love. It's a great song that I just seem to forget about, until it pops up on ipod shuffle like a forgotten gem.
  21. I like that Keep It Together & Dress You Up made the list. I don't like that (my fav Madonna single) Cherish , and True Blue did not.
  22. Spice - Naked instead of Mama Spiceworld - Never Give Up On The Good Times Forever - If You Wanna Have Some Fun Victoria - Midnight Fantasy / I.O.U Emma - She Was A Friend Of Mine Geri - Strength Of A Woman / Circles 'Round The Moon / Love Never Loved Me
  23. Yes !! The album version is a funky rocky En Vogue Free Your Mind style stomper. The single remix ruined the song. Same goes for My Name is Not Susan, totally muffed it up by remixing it, when it was perfect already ! I love Where Do Broken Hearts Go & Didn't We Almost Have It All. Out far too early !
  24. I want to like it more than I actually do. The flashbacks don't do it for me either. I feel like I'd rather see a bit less of Mitchell & Webb (even though they're the reason I tuned in the first place) and and lot more of the Uncle (especially), and the other characters. The barmaid makes me laugh when she smiles and says ''Aww''.

^^ I wish Tracey had stuck around too. Last night had a little Tom flashback. He still looks the same !
