Christina Aguilera fan and an MS sufferer (Article) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode on July 7, 2007 Saturday, 4:30 p.m. Would you like to meet your favorite international artist? This may seem impossible but Wish Ko Lang!, led by host Vicky Morales, finds a way. The program has helped select fans meet Mariah Carey, Mandy Moore, Alicia Keys, Avril Lavigne, Pussycat Dolls and even T-Mac, Vaness Wu and Batista the Wrestler. This time, Ariel Galera of Davao wrote Wish Ko Lang! for help to meet his idol, international pop icon Christina Aguilera. Galera said Aguilera has given him not just entertainment but also inspiration. Galera admits to being poor, which has made it quite an effort for him to collect his idol’s albums. He narrates that he was only able to buy Aguilera's latest album because he bet in the lotto and won. Now that the popular singer is bound for the Philippines, will Ariel get to meet his idol at last? Meanwhile, Miraflor Pañales is suffering from multiple sclerosis, a rare, debilitating disease that afflicts the nervous system. The young woman has lost her eyesight and can no longer walk. To mitigate severe pain, she has taken to burying her body in the sand. Pañales was abandoned by her father but can she forgive him if they meet again? Watch these Wish Ko Lang! stories on Saturday, 4:30 p.m., on GMA-7.

I have to disagree i would hate to hear britney whiney breathy voice try to sing with christina. britney should collerbate with soneone voice who suits her. Even when christina does not over sing and trys to sing like she does hurt her she still blow her out of the water

I think christina should have hooked up with outkast for a few song Say what you want above their cd sales i dont care but i was listening to their idle wild soundtrack and got me thinking why did christina not hook up with them for a song or two. They are both looking for old school songs and **** and i think they would have meshed well togther. The thing i like about oukast is they are always trying something new just like christina so it would have been nice to see what both of them could come up with.

  17. Community policing is a philosophy as well as a organized strategy. This philosophy is what allows the police and the community residence to work closely in new ways to solve the problem of crime. This philosophy rest on the basis that law abiding people should be able to have some input on the police process., The first demand is that everyone in one in the department including both civilian and sworn personnel must investigate ways to translate the philosophy into practice. To implement true Community policing the police department should create and develop a new line officers ,The (CPO) which acts as the direct link between the police and the people community. The CPO broad role demands continuous sustained contact with the law abiding people in the community, so that together they can explore creative solutions to local concerns involving crimes, fear of crime, disorder, and decay with private citizens serving as unpaid volunteers. Community policing implies a new contract between the police and the citizens it serves one that offers the hope of overcoming widespread apathy at the same time it restrains any impulse to vigilantism. The new relationship based on mutual trust also suggest that the police serve as a catalyst challenging people to accept their share of responsibility for solving their own individual problems as well as the problem in the community. Community policing adds a vital proactive element in the traditional role of the police resulting in full spectrum police service. As the agency of social control open 24 hours a day seven days a week the police must maintain the ability to respond immediate crisis and crime prevention. Community policing explores new ways to protect and enhances lives of those who are more venerable, Juveniles the elderly, minorities, the poor etc. Community Police promotes the judicious use of technology but it also rests on the belief that nothing surpasses what dictated human beings , talking and working tighter can achieve it invests trust in those who are on the front lines on the street. Community police must be fully integrated approach that involves everyone in that department with the CPO’s as specialist in bridging the gap between the police and the people they serve. Finally community policing provides personalized police services to the community it recognizes that police can not impose order on a community from the outside but the people rca realsed this today
