Global hits that charted low/flopped/weren't released here
Vertical Horizon - "Everything You Want" (2000 or 2001); No.1 hit in the U.S. missed the top 40 here Matchbox 20 - "Bent" (2000); No.1 U.S. hit, not released here possibly due to the British-English meaning being a homophobic slur.

EastEnders
Karen looks rough as guts and I find it hard to like her, although the subplot was very heartbreaking :(. Abi starring at the monitor when it flatlined was a WTF? moment for me..... go get help and call the nurses, not stare at the monitor saying "Steven?" over and over!. Fantastic episode anyway and no annoying red herrings. I also liked how each episode started, in which how the previous one ended is used to start off the next one, but from a different viewpoint; e.g. the gunshot being heard again, but instead we hear it again with the Taylors on screen, instead of the Coker imposters.

EastEnders
Its like they filmed three different crashes and the media are not clear on which was was used.

EastEnders
Thought it was odd they shown the ambulances travelling well out of the square; when you see that something usually happens and I got prepared for it. There could be a red herring twist there, we are supposed to think that was Ian and Steven in there, but it could be Abi and Lauren instead.

EastEnders
Ted is acting exactly just like James from "When the Wind Blows" with a gun involved. He even used a chest of drawers propped towards a window to cushion explosion impacts.
-
EastEnders
Steven's "time to pray" line was so random.

EastEnders
Can't that mayor go into Walford without being abused by morons?. The actors who played the protesters came across as people who couldn't act. Throwing a cream pie was also poor writing.

World Cup Qualifying
When will ITV stop using that ancient Verve/Rolling Stones rip off song as break bumpers and the intro?. Their stubbonness not to change it is just like the FA's stubborness in employing Yes-Men to the England job all the time.

World Cup Qualifying
At least England qualify for every tournament, not every national team can say that I suppose, although the following summer we get laughed at by the media as soon as we are out. Totally awful tonight, made the scoreline flatter us, Southgate says Hart is England's best goalkeeper (let in 11 in 3 games and not one save to make tonight), while an idiot tweets "What's wrong?, easy-peasy England". Its attitudes like this that cause delusion and no forward progress in improvement. The passing in the first half was almost non existent in terms of being actually any good.

Just done the same!! :cheer: . Last few albums did well, hopefully this can keep up the momentum. I used to really like Bloc Party, but in recent years they've gone a bit stale, but with The National each listen is different from the last. Also bought Rose Ellinor Dougal's album "Stellular" on vinyl from a local store who ordered it for me. She was in The Pippetes who I found too cheesey for my liking, but this album sounds like Stereolab and other experimental bands, with a bit of Dubstar thrown in. Was recomended it by a friend at work who goes to the store often. Think I'll ask my fiancee tomorrow if I can rip his National vinyls to MP3 format, so I can listen to them on the go. Even hearing that crackling sound from the stylus beats polished up perfect CD sound.

EastEnders
At least it wasnt as bad as "I've... got nothing left!!!...", but I still agree.

EastEnders
Everyone having to say "Walford in bloom!" when the photo got taken, Stephen dragging it on further...... Please end this rubbish now!!!.

The National are brilliant, my fiancee converted me to them and is planning on dragging me along to a gig. He's taken me on a few already. We have quite a vinyl collection in the flat, about 95 percent of what he plays is on the format!.

Top of the Pops on BBC4
On the Ceiling was good also, even if it appeared on that advert which was an OK Go video rip off!

Top of the Pops on BBC4
Ashes to Ashes got me into that song and band; it was used in the end credits of one of the season 1 eps.
