A good day to bury bad news
One of my "So called friends" at the time came out with the same Diana claptrap, she then changed her Facebook header photo to a Union Jack......... Billy Bragg's song about that flag I then posted the YouTube link of on my Facebook feed, only for her to unfriend me cos of it.

A good day to bury bad news
I know this is old, old news, but as this thread is near the top I will reply. I totally agree with this and everything else being said in this thread. What the bloody hell hey?!, the thousands of police at this wedding in comparison to the 100s when the riots happened that year.... nice to see public safety so high up on the agenda!. What makes the Royals think we should like them?, they are total parasites and everything they do takes over the rest of the news. We are entitled to an opinion and I dont like them. This is our country, not theirs and only theirs, everyone in a country is fully entitled to say it's theirs. Ever since this wedding, the media have been gushing over them worse than ever..... pictures of Kate shopping at Tesco, William supporting Aston Crapper, MSN reporting on even on trivial things such as somebody playing Lacrosse while we have to feed another one of their mouths. I'm sick of it. When I was a kid, I loved the film "Airplane" and when it's star Leslie Nielsen died, it got a small thumbnail sized article, while those fu*k norks took up 99.9 percent of the rest of the two spread!.

Sounds Like Friday Night
Don't like the Christmas TOTP episodes, they simply reflect how awful the majority of todays chart stars are. However, with a weekly chart show back with us again, I welcome it. I always used to watch the weekly shows, but avoided the Christmas specials.

EastEnders
Looked like a shirt made out of discarded newspapers that didn't make it as fish and chip wrappers!

Sky Sports Revamp Views
Same here, on my Kodi box!. It is however totally wrong we have to suffer, when in Spain La Liga always has a match shown at the regular kick off time, same with Bundesliga and Serie A. F1 is a rubbish sport these days anyway, so having to have that channel if I subscribe to sports, with no option to opt out, they can stuff it.

EastEnders
It's pure thoughtlessness on behalf of the writers. This is the THIRD time if you include Angie lying to Den.

EastEnders
Ian Beale lies to Mel that Lucy has cancer to make her feel sorry for him, just so she marries him, then 18 years later his son Stephen does almost the same for a similar reason, only the lie is about himself having a form of cancer not somebody else and does this so Lauren stays with him (I think he's playing Abi along). Nick Cotton cuts the brake lines on Mark Fowler's motorcycle, only for his own son Ashley to jump on it and die. Many years later he does the same again and ends up also killing someone he didn't intend to because of his actions (DCI Emma). Yet again EastEnders recycle old story lines, and lying about cancer is just wrong let alone writers making attempts to bring "entertainment" out of it. Hope the prom episode will be worth the wait/hype. Also, the brain scan is 5 years out of date!

Europa League 2017/18
You get some entertaining games in the Luxembourgish league, but there is no denying that Rangers are pure embarrassment because of that result.

REVIEW: Now That's What I Call Music! 49
used to like the Wheatus song, until at the 2015 works Christmas Party somebody played it on the jukebox. Best song from this is maybe Pyramid Song.

REVIEW: Now That's What I Call Music! 44
I have a faint memory of some of these songs. Were Thunderbugs an all-female band?.

REVIEW: Now That's What I Call Music! 48
Pete Kay's Car Share made me look at this thread first in this subforum!. Not only that, but a lot of the songs on in here I bought as singles, and in some cases their parent albums. 2001 being a 12 year old was when I first started buying music, so this compilation is quite a "Good old days" thing for me.

2017/18 FA Premier League
Is a nice ground to go to, would be good to see all three promoted teams stay up also. Last time that happened was 2012.

Champions League 2017/18
No offence or anything, but it makes me laugh United fans take pride in winning a trophy they mocked Liverpool for celebrating back in 2001. They even made a banner featuring Mickey Mouse with "Real McCoy May 1999, Barcelona". This big 8-12 Super Club elite group, is everything that is wrong with money in football right now. So Celtic have to play 6 qualifying matches against three different teams to actually get to the group stage now?. Ajax may have got to the final, but haven't got out of UCL group stages for a while now. Also, Dutch football is not quite the force it once was.

2017/18 FA Premier League
Like Burnley and Cardiff before them.

2017/18 FA Premier League
I think we will do a 2008 Hull..... win 6 of our first 3 or so, finish top 5 at Christmas, come 2018 Chris Hughton gives the players a half time bollocking on the pitch, then it's blamed for winning only 3 games in 2018 and we survive on the final day.

Champions League 2017/18
Hope so, it just isn't Real dominating, but the big 3 in La Liga as well.

Formula One- 2017 Season
Not the same sport it used to be ever since all these rule changes a few years back, and I cannot stand Lewis!. Also, do Channel 4 have all these silly film clips when its British GP weekend?. BBC's clip of Lewis "playing" an acoustic guitar still leaves a scar on the brain, let alone a bunch of people crowding round a driver when they are being interviewed. Used to love this sport, now it's Moto GP taking its place for me.

EastEnders
Get rid of Keegan. He's an evil runt and could be another Nick Cotton in the making, which we do not need another of.

EastEnders
Steven's acting while watching Lauren on spy camera, with his laptop in the back garden was awful. "Why!, Why!, why!, have I always got to be the bad guy!?", followed by kicking a wall that fell apart easily. What was it with the scene in which he couldn't get it to work and had to look at the settings?. Just felt like an excuse to drive the storyline further. We need another storyline that gets everyone excited, it's been too long since "Who killed Lucy?".

Who won where you are?
Liberal Democrat here, taking the seat back off the Tories.

Champions League 2017/18
Real Madrid winning every year and the semi final line up always being the same, calls for a huge shake up in format. Man United will either go out in the quarters or go out in the group stage, drop into the EL and win it again like last season. They had a piss easy run to the trophy, not one team they played was in the top 30 of the UEFA club ranking.

The Vinyl Thread
My other half always buys an album on vinyl, not just on CD; he likes to get it on every format there is. Last year he got Biffy Clyro's previous album on vinyl and then did the same with "Puzzle" on this extra-thick release of the album on Record Store Day 2015. It was a tougher material than usual and had an extra track from the CD version. I have my own collection of vinyl, but it's a waste of money having two copies of the same thing in the flat!. Been going on eBay quite a lot buying 80s vinyl of stuff that's never been put to CD yet, we are both after a new turntable because we only use a USB jobby at the moment and the stylus is a cheap ceramic thing, meaning the sound isn't exactly the best it can be.

Formula E- Season 2016/17
It is good, other half watches it just as much as F1. The speed those cars can actually reach despite being all electric is rather impressive.
