  1. Single download Natasha Bedingfield Soulmate. Love this song. Album download Pictures of the Other Side Gareth Gates. Well impressed with this so far.
  2. "The full download in the charts have been disapointing as rather than open it up to everyone releasing record it's just cemented mostly what emap and GCap are playing over and over again. and if they merge radio is gonna be even more rubbish and the chart even more boring " These guys are so powerful and as you say it's making not only the chart dire but listening to the radio desperate as well.
  3. I reckon top 5. I love this song.
  4. So sad that you're checking
  5. I accidentally voted for Mutya as the worst cos I didn't read it properly so strike my one vote off her percentage please. Best for me would be Mutya and worst would be probably Charlotte Church who I like but isn't a soulful singer. This is such a mixed bag and as a poll it's very hard to choose.

I don't understand this criticism about personality with Leona. Who knows what sort of personality Whitney has or Kelly Clarkson if it comes to that. They've made it on account of their singing not on their personalities.
  7. This is such a strong track and he performs it well. I could imagine this being a great live song which is exactly what Gareth is good at.

I loved them too. They had the potential to be one of the best pop bands of all time and I don't understand why it didn't work out like that.

I still can't believe he's been dropped. He's by far the most successful and the hottest to come from Blue. He must be worth holding on to in more ways than one!
  10. Top 5 for me. I do like it and it deserves a high position. Mutya rocks.
  11. People download things they hear on the radio or see on video which is why his download position is holding him back. DJs were obviously just waiting to see how he'd do being the sheep they are. Maybe next time and with a different song it will be much better. Re the date of the release of the second single. It could be brought forward quite easily surely. They've done it with other artists.
  12. The usual suspects coming out of the woodwork I see. Hi there Marguerite. Back to the subject. While I really like Changes now and lots of my mates have said that they like it and the video, I don't think it's going to chart high as it's definitely not aimed at the singles market. I don't know if it will matter because it's album sales that will count this time around for Gareth and, hopefully, with the release of the second single, this will provide a first step towards building up to people wanting the album. Lack of airplay has been shocking. The song is good enough to get played imo.
  13. Changes is a good song. It's got a quirky thing going on. It just hasn't had any airplay. Probably Sony BMG have put a stop on it. Simon Cowell will not want Gareth to succeed.
  14. From the look of him on the JR show I wouldn't be responsible for my own actions. I'd always thought he came over as a funny, nice guy but he managed to show it really well. He was quick and witty which, as a recovering stammerer, was quite an achievement. What's not to love?

This can't be true. His solo career has been pretty successful so far although I rated his first album more than this one.
  16. This track is growing on me. I wasn't sure about it at first. I think the record company don't probably expect a huge runaway track to start off Gareth's comeback and this is probably the reason Changes was chosen. It's good though and a great start and hopefully they are in it for the longhaul.

  18. I've rated Gareth since I was dragged along to one of his gigs and I know he's got more respect in the industry than you'd expect, given his roots, probably because of his ability to play quite a few different instruments. I hope he's given a fair chance. He deserves it. He was sold down the river by Simon Cowell and BMG and they thought they could do better with Shayne but they've found that harder than they thought. I'd love him to prove they got it wrong.
  19. He looked hot imo. His voice sounded fab and the songs from the small bits we heard sounded interesting. I didn't think much of the production as a whole but he came out of it well.
  20. I didn't rate him to be honest and was gutted when Lemar was voted out but think it's great that he has forged a career songwriting. Good luck to him.
  21. Amy Winehouse Back to Black the whole album and that's me cleaned out.
  22. I totally agree with you. Simon should keep his stupid opinions to himself. He's been responsible for the ruining of quite a few careers and has no right to put his oar in. Lovin your Keisha White picture!
  23. She might be a good singer but she certainly didn't show it in that performance. It was total s....te and she was so off her face she could barely stand up. She's certainly living up to her image and the name of her soon to be released song.

I'm sure the Amy is going to be huge with Rehab. It's a great track and her voice is strong. She's going to be a good girl and not slag off all the other female singers according to yesterday's paper. She must have decided to differentiate herself from Lily.

I downloaded the album last week and I love it. I hope she doesn't turn out to be another underrated act along the lines of Beverley Knight.
