I don't think the record company really care about it getting to number one, they care about the money. They'd still get a portion of the profits from Boots, even if a portion was going to charity (which is a graet idea :yahoo: ) The song has grown, but it's still their worst. I won't be buying it but it's doing well on downloads so I can see it getting to #1 (something I was NOT expecting 8 weeks ago when i first heard it!)

I always assumed Kylie was the biggest seller in 2001. Did she sell more then Shaggy and Hear'Say overall over time?

Most weeks our two supermarkets (Morissons and Tesco) have that weeks 'big' album at a discounted price (usually £6.99 or £7.99) so they do still do it. This is the reason I tend to buy most of my CDs at supermarkets now, music shops (including Woolworths - who have just gone downhill loads these past couple of years) are too expensive (that and the fact that I pass then everyday). For a week back in July Morrissons had all of their albums (including the brand new ones) for just £6. Can't get better then that! :D

Any other week Will would have made #1 easily with those sales. Damn KOL!!

Great news and she totally deserved Best Pop Act, but am i alone in thinking Kylie Konnect is a little bit rubbish? I have an account and I have absolutely no idea how to use it :mellow: When ever i went on there isn't anything to 'Konnect' too, you just make a nice little page and hope somebody manages to find it and add you as a friend. :mellow:

I'm with you, it's not exactly groundbreaking but it shows what they're good at - dancing! The bit on the scarfolding is They are great :P When did music videos stop being good though. I watch these 'Top 100 xx videos of whenever' on the music channels and i've gotta say that music videos from the 80's and 90's weren't much better. There are a couple which are great, just as there is now, but there wasn't a period when all videos were great.

I absolutely LOVE the promo cover. It's one of her best single covers on a long long time. Singles Pink - So What Albums Will Young - Let it Go Shania Twain - Up! (At last!!! :w00t: )

There are only a handful of videos that have made a lasting impression on me this year. Madonnas 4 Minutes, Pinks So What and Will Youngs Changes. A few more have been pretty good (Disturbia is quite good) but the majority are just cheap and boring. Madonna needs to realise, regarding 'Give it 2 Me', that wearing a hat and dancing in front of a camera for 4 minutes does not a good video make. Same for Sugababes, Girls is a bit poo to start with, but the music video is even worse! :no:

I can't believe i own something that's so in demand :P I'll have to start appriciating it more :dance: I would have thought Butterfly would be the one everybody wanted :o I'll keep on the lookout and if I find 'The One' cheap(ish) then i'll post the links here...

Was hoping for #1 but it will take a lot to shift KOL i'd imagine, especially after their sales last week. I used to love Boyzone but this single is just pants and the whole comeback hasn't really interested me in the slightest.

If they don't get any in at Woolworths i'll probably have to wait and buy it next week when i go to Newcastle instead :cry:

I'm hoping Pink makes #1 on singles (i orginally thought she'd peak at about 3, but i didn't realise how well she was doing on iTunes!) and Will makes #1 on albums. I don't think he'll topple KOL though but i'll be happy with a #2 -_- I wanted Jennifer Hudson to do well on albums too, but neither Woolworths, Tesco or Morrissons have it in stock. It was definatley out this week wasn't it? Boyzone are terrible, it's so cheesy and poo. I'm guessing #4 for them. (they seem to be more popular then i originally imagined)

i'm the opposite, i have the one, but would love butterfly. :wub: I remember when The One promos first surfaced on eBay and they were going for stupid amounts (one went for £80!) but i've since seen them 'buy it now' for about £29. They'll probabbly go even lower when the buzz of the era and tour is over.

I only own 1 Dannii CD and thats 'So Under Pressure' Apart from the odd song (Put the needle on it, Perfection) she doesn't do much for me.

:w00t: :w00t: for Pink (i'm really hoping it can get '#1 next week, but i'm thinking it will stall at about 3 :() I expected more from Katy Perrys album, and Will Young hasn't done too well either - but when they don't give us any CDs to buy (i still haven't found it on a CD) what do they expect?? :unsure: Is Jennifer Hudson actually out on physical or is it downloads only? I'm definaltey getting the album :D
