Some accurate total Mariah UK album sales...
I didn't realise Charmbracelet charted so low. I'm suprised she wasn't dropped, most artists would have been had their album tanked like that - although it has picked up good sales since it seems. I bet Virgin are kicking themselves now  if only they'd have known...

Was B2B's ERA a let down?
CD 2 was awesome, CD 1 was :puke2: Nothing compared to the mightly stipped. I don't know why they released 'Ain't No Other Man' first. And to release 'Oh Father' like 10 years after the last single  they cocked it up majorly. I was way to long aswell. Stripped is 20 tracks, but about 5 of them were just short interludes. Back to Basics was just a contridiction. It was about 25 tracks. If it was upto me they should have released CD 2 with about 5 tracks from CD 1. I'm on a bit of a rant now, but that last track on CD 1 'Thank You (Dedication to Fans)' what was she thinking?? pass the sick bucket... On the plus side, it did have a nice booklet with the album, on that nice photo paper - it smelt really nice when i first opened it :P

Madonna's third album True Blue
I love True Blue, apart from White Heat  i don't like the talking bit at the start. One of the worst Madonna songs i think (apart from the hideous Love Song :puke2: which puts me in the same predicament for Like a Prayer - Perfect album apart from one song) If thoses tracks weren't on those albums they would both be absolutely perfect!

Top 75 Singles / Album Chart
I think Mariah will spend more time in the top end of the albums then the Kooks. I expect they and Leona (if her album price is going back to normal) will drop way down and Mariah will still hover in the top 3 - maybe even move up to #2 :naughty: fingers crossed.

The Buzzjack Sunday Chart Thread
Well i'm a huge madonna fan, but i'm not quite sure what sort of fan to describe you as  a little more then obsessed methinks :o

Top 75 Singles / Album Chart
:o Mariah lost out on #2 to Leona :( I'm so glad Madonna got to #1 though. I think the video really helped :dancing: Shame Britney only made #15 but it's a far far better position then i think other artists would have done in her position (no promotion / animated video / 3rd single release etc...)

The Buzzjack Sunday Chart Thread
even if she doesn't get #1 (i'm convinced she will :yahoo: ), she'll definately get there next week anyway.

Sunday Chart Predictions
I half agree. I love the fact that Everybody is there, it certainly made me and my mates more eager to buy it we much perfer new songs to remixes. But i think she should have released 2 CDs. One as it is now, and then a remixes CD. She always used to release 2 CD's per single, why isn't she now?

4 Minutes *UK chart* thread
My singles arrived in the post this morning :yahoo: i love HMV i just wondered weather they would count in this weeks chart or next weeks chart - does anybody know? I'm a bit annoyed that the covers are both exactly the same - they could have at least changed the colour of the text

Britney's best song - lyrically
I love everything about both Everytime & Overprotected - but Everytime already had votes so i voted Overprotected instead

Predict: Madonna - Hard Candy
Well it's madonna so she's going to sell loads. I'm going to guess 140.000 in the first weeks and I think she's stay #1 in albums for 3 weeks. And by the end of the year she'll have sold hundreds of millions around the world beating Thriller as the best selling album of all time :cheer: (maybe not...) :P I'm so looking forward to the album though. I've tried not to listen to any tracks, but i have heard Candy Shop and the 30sec miles away - they both sound amazing. I'm really looking forward to hearing Devil Wouldn't Recognise You as it's been on the table since about 2003. :yahoo:

Sunday Chart Predictions
yeah. i'm also glad she's risen since yesterday. I'd rather her *just* miss the top 10, then be just within the top 20. If you get me

UK Charts Analysis (19/04/2008)
I can't believe how well madonnas songs have done. Only 6 out of 68 songs to miss the top 10 and only 1 to miss the top 20 isn't bad at all. People take the p*** out of her, but there is no denying she is a damn sucessful singer :yahoo:

Sunday Chart Predictions
 for britney. I hope it climbs to as least #12! I much perfer the single offering a newish song instead of a remix :yahoo: remixes are boring :P Good for Goldfrapp aswell. I'm not to fussed on the song, but i'm glad it's doing reasonably well, i was expecting it to miss the top 40 altogether.

Music Purchases This Week: WB: 14/4/08
Singles Britney - Break the Ice Madonna - 4 Minutes (i've just pre-ordered the CD singles on HMV - fingers crossed they arrive on saturday :yahoo: ) Albums Mariah E=MC2 - I think it's much better then Emancipation of Mimi, now that i've listened it properly - I don't like it when she does that reggae bit on Cruise Control though  I also bought Britneys Greatest Hits (woolworths £5!) :yahoo: I've been listening to that more then mariah! :P DVDs St Trinians

Sunday Chart Predictions
i'm hoping queen madonna either climbs or stays where she is, please don't fall! I'm predicting Mariah will get to #2 (although im hoping #1) :yahoo: I hope Britney reachs top 10. Her track has really grown on me. The video doesn't seem to have recieved as much airplay as Piece of Me did though, that might affect it's position :( Estelle to stay at #1 for her final week - it'll be madonna next week (maybe she'll continue the 5 week trend :w00t: )
-
4 Minutes *UK chart* thread
i am now 99% sure this will get #1. I was getting worried after last weeks little tumble, but now it's reached 4 i'm very optimistic. Only one week of downloads left :yahoo: they should have bought the physical release forward though. The rest of europe have released their physicals, why not us?? ;)

Career Defining singles
i've gone with britney. I remember everybody at school getting all hyped up about Britney Spears when she released that. Everybody seems to know the words. it's a great song I would have gone with Madonna aswell, although she's had quite a few career defining hits, greedy cow :P i'd have chose frozen instead of vogue. (actually i'd have chosen lots of different songs that that on the list. Especially Beautiful instead of Genie in a Bottle for Christina)

Top 75 Singles / Albums Chart
i'm still quite suprised that thriller 25 is still high in the chart :cheer: the killers sawdust is still managing to stay in the charts aswell -not bad at all!

What was No.1 on the day you were born?
I was 1 day off being Madonna - Like a Prayer (one of my favourite songs :cheer: ) instead i got Jason Donovan - To Many Broken Hearts. I don't think i've ever heard it
-
Soundclash #028 - Sam Sparro vs Madonna
Madonna :yahoo: Although that Sam Sparro song is still quite good. I hadn't heard it until last Friday when it came on The Hits - Dunno where i'd been
-
The Feeling - Without You
I totally agree with you  i probabbly won't even buy this single, it's too just too bland and bleh. And i've bought all their previous stuff. It's a shame too because i had high hopes for this album.
